I googled Social Security Disability on 01/02/2023 yesterday to apply for disability benefits due to an ongoing anxiety disorder that prevents me from working. I was happy to be talking with a live person. I provided everything including my social security number and signed the paperwork using my phone. It wasn't until today that I realized I spoke with Citizens Disability which is NOT Social Security, and I am mortified and disappointed in myself. I did not realize they were not the same. I do not want to continue on with this company and I'm so worried that my information may be sold and compromised. I am 61 years old, lost my job of 15 years and my cat all before the holidays. Not to be a *****, I was just in a vulnerable place when I'm always so careful.

Constant unwanted robocalls- up to four per day, always from different local numbers. Makes up roughly 75% of my incoming calls! Asking to be removed from call list doesnt work.

As in the other complaints I'm reading on BBB about this company, they've been spam calling me non-stop. I tried to block their number, but they keep calling from different area codes. I have never reached out to them in any way and I don't need Disability, nor is there any reason they should think I need Disability, but they're calling me anyway. My number is on the national Do Not Call list. These people should be investigated. I have a close relative who's battling stage 4 cancer and I need to be able to pick up the phone right away in case he needs me for anything, and it's really bad when I have to frantically rummage through my purse to retrieve my ringing phone before it stops, only to see that it's this awful group robocalling me again.

      Better Business Bureau:

The business says they have no record of my phone number, but they sent me a series of calls from these phone numbers: *****************-323-4820, ************, ************, ************, and ************. Each of these calls had a "smart" icon next to it, identifying it as from (in all caps) CITIZENS DISABILITY LLC. I'm not sure I believe that they couldn't find a record for me, but at any rate, they have now stopped calling me. For that reason, I have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.

This company calls multiple times per day and leaves a voicemail (with no message). I reported them to my cell phone company, yet the calls persist. My number is on the Do Not Call Registry. This company should be fined for violating the Do Not Call Registry. I will pursue this with the ***** Attorney General seeking a monetary consequence (fine) for this annoying company who feels it is exempt from honoring citizens' no phone contact requests. The company should not contact me again. This report is my second form of request for this company to not call me, the first form of request being the National Do Not Call Registry.

I am going on month 8 of little to no results in my disability case. This company advertised payment within a certain time frame and I am now out of that frame. It is impossible to get a clear answer as to why this process is taking so long. I believe they are purposely dragging my case out to receive a bigger payment.

      Dear ****************-

We are sorry for this inconvenience. Unfortunately we have no control over when SSA will give an answer. I see that we signed you up in April 2022. I am having someone call SSA today for a status update, and then someone from Citizens Disability call you with an update. Please note we do not advertise we can get you paid faster as we have no control over SSA and this unfortunately is a long process.

Over the last two weeks of December 2022 I have been receiving at least 2 calls a day from Citizens Disability LLC. I finally had to block them, but my phone number has been on the federal do not call list since ****. All telemarketers are required to adhere to this list and remove numbers from their call lists BEFORE calling. Failing to do this can result in fines up to $11k from the federal government and $5k from the ****************.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

Businesses are *required* by federal law to pre-screen numbers being generated by autodialers to eliminate numbers on the federal do not call list.  in the call that I received yesterday the caller claimed that I had "contacted them" for assistance.  This is a blatant attempt to presume an existing relationship to get around provisions of federal law.  I would like to be removed from your calling list as well as a written (mailed) letter advising me that the number has been removed from your calling list and a root cause as to why it was called in spite of being on the federal DNC list.

      Regards,

      *****

      Date: 01/06/2023

      Dear ****************-

Businesses are not required to reference the Federal Do-Not-Call list if prior express written consent was obtained for the contact at issue. We are not claiming any existing business relationship with you from my understanding; however, we did obtain prior express written consent for all contact from an online form from a partner website. Per your request, you have been on our internal Do-Not-Call list since 12/29/2022. This was also made permanent, so any future online opt-ins will not trigger calls.

      Thank you-

I have *never* provided consent to be contacted via phone from a telemarketer.  What partner website are you claiming obtained consent for you to contact me?
