I am a current resident in Homestead, FL. I have been with Geico for almost a year and never had an issue until today. I received my next bill to renew my insurance for $1,781.25. That is including my discounts and paying in full for that amount. I noticed that there was a huge increase from the last six months, which was $1334.76. I have attached what the increased amount has been every six months paid in full. When I noticed the amount increased, I contacted Geico because I thought it was a mistake and that would be the amount divided into six monthly payments with nothing included. When I spoke to the first agent, she told it was due to the inflation in the market and the rise of cost living, they needed to increase their prices for insurance. I was appalled by what I was told and could not believed it jumped that much. I am a full time student, working part time and I knew I would not be able to stay with the insurance, so I started shopping around. From asking other insurance companies, my insurance was around to the original cost of insurance back in March. I decided to call Geico back, to see if I could get a breakdown of the increase of cost because on their website, you can ask to see why the increase. I can see the breakdown of coverage cost. When I told the Geico agent what the previous agent told me and how my insurance increased by $446.49 due to inflation, she said that was not entirely the correct answer. Due to the area I live in Florida, Geico has to reassess the area and due to primarily car accidents and the lost of cars, the cost of insurance has affected everyone tremendously in the area and it happens to everyone. She said the main focus was the car accident that I have caused or been in and the medical cost as well. With the information she was sharing, she did mention my medical cost with an accident that I was in. That accident happened in a different vehicle, I was not even the driver, but my back did get i

In July 2022 GEICO increased my auto insurance rate 90%. No changes in my driving record, credit score, and 0 accidents. GEICO claimed the rate hike was due to inflation.

I would like to record my frustration with Geico. Worst customer service, difficult communication, and inefficient service delivery. I've been trying to solve a problem for over months (since February) and I can't. They didn’t pay me what they owed me, didn’t cover for my car rental after the accident (that wasn’t my fault) and they contacted a person who had NOTHING to do with my car accident and looked up their personal finances just to find an execuse to not pay ME. I don't recommend this company to anyone, I'm almost having to go to court to try to solve this problem. Very frustrated about how they didn’t give me any support.

Just shady and underhanded. They won't "lie" but they won't tell you everything either. Called for home owners insurance and come to find out its not even from them at all. Turns out they are just brokers for other companies. If you have to get any answers or talk to people about your policy it becomes he said she said or musical phone tag.....45mins round and round just to get a simple yes or no answer......

The worst business I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve been paying full coverage insurance & have been a loyal customer for years. First time EVER I called to get road side service & this is my experience. I called at 1:20pm on Aug 2nd to get my vehicle towed to my mechanic shop they told me arrival time is 90 mins wait I said ok. After 90 mins I called they said it’s going to take another 30 mins. 30 mins pass I call again and now it’s additional 40 mins wait after additional 40 mins wait I called back and came across the rudest agent Amary or something like that hung up on me when she told me it’s gona take additional 20 mins & I was expressing my experience. 4 & half hours later no tow truck ever came, I called out of work for this and waited in this heat. Words cannot describe my frustration and disappointment with this company.

My bill was $85 , and I needed to change the date for automatic payments from 1st of month to the 4th of the month, so I called customer support and requested the date change, the nest day i checked the billing and my insurance went from $85 a month to $113 so I called customer support and was told they treated me as a new policy and then increased my payment so beware if you are in same situation as I was , very disappointed

Geico is the Worst Insurance Company Ever! They say they will call you back and never do. I was part of an injured party and I spoke with an agent name Jeremine R***. He was very help at 1st but then he stopped answering and has not giving me call back in about a month. I have left countless voicemails and even reached out to a supervisor Stephanie with no resolution. My medical bills are now due and at risk of collections and I can’t even get anyone on the phone to answer my questions!

BEWARE AND READ EVERY PAGE YOU ARE SENT! IF POSSIBLE HAVE SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS INSURANCE REVIEW YOUR POLICY. Geico does not care about customer service, good faith, or you when you need to file a claim. I insured my home, 3 cars, 2 motorcycles, 2 four-wheelers and a motorhome with Geico one year ago. There were several emails with quotes for each of the different policies. Due to multiple policies I spoke with different agents. After two days of emails and phone conversations I chose to switch to Geico. I signed up for auto pay on my vehicles. Paid a year in full for the motorcycle/motorhome policy. Home is paid through escrow. Three weeks ago I scraped the bumper of another car in a tight parking lot with my motorhome and I filed a claim. From the very beginning I was given the run around from Geico. I was told my motorhome was on my auto policy. The following week I was told it was on the motorcycle policy. I was instructed to email the bill of sale, title, email quotes and the previous policy to the motorhome. I submitted all documents requested. This week after multiple calls I was told that they did not have a policy for the motorhome. I asked how this was possible when I email them the quote I was given. Bottom line, Geico missed insuring the motorhome and I didn't catch it on the final three policies. It was very clear through emailed and verbal quotes the intent was to insure the motorhome with everything else I owned. The worst part, even though I have auto insurance on three vehicles and two street motorcycles, Geico is taking the cooperate way out and denying my claim. I don't care if they don't pay for my paint scuffs but they refuse to pay for the other car! BEWARE, YOU ARE NOT INSURED, ONLY YOUR VEHICLE. However I was told that if I had hit the car with a shopping cart I could claim it on my home owners insurance. Now I'm at the mercy of the people who own the other car, hoping they aren't going to make me pay for the most $$$ estimate.

11 years!! 11!! Not one ticket, not one claim, never late with one payment,no accidents. From Florida then to New York I had Geico. But no more.We canceled our policy today and got a new company.Almost $200 a month for 2 vehicles. When I asked why our rate kept going up,we were told that we weren't paying for "us" that we were paying for others who didn't have insurance, that the cost of parts for vehicles was getting higher and that they wanted to be sure that in a cae that we needed to file a claim that we would be covered.I have a new company, paying less for the same coverage and also get discounts for being good drivers.Geico could and should do more for loyal customers that have good driving records and great payment history.

Raised rates $700 for 1 accident. Terrible service after the accident. Kept leaving messages about my claim at the wrong number.
