I purchased a plastic reed and the price on the display was cheaper than it rang up for. Other stores would give it to you for what the displayed price shows, but not Music and Arts. Bad business practice.

If I could put zero stars, I would.
Absolutely horrendous experience simply trying to rent an instrument from music and arts.
I accidentally missed one payment and they sent my entire account to collections a company called Kinum.
I have rented an instrument from music and arts for three years. I’ve paid well over $1400 so far with them.
The collections agency has decided that I owe them $2000. There’s quite a few miscellaneous charges…..Music and arts will not speak to me about my account at all.
I just simply want to pay my past due account and move forward.
I was pressured into paying this amount, while being threatened to have everything sent to the credit bureau and go against my credit score, also threatened to have my account total “increased significantly, if I do not pay”.
This was just a terrible experience. I’ve already notified the school board and my son’s school to not recommend music and arts anymore.
I have now paid, almost double what my son’s instrument is at retail value…..
This company seriously needs to be reviewed. Something is terribly wrong.

Horrible customer service. Returned school rental on 6/11/23. Automatic payment came out 6/11/23 also. Was told unfortunately I could not have the money back for that month (that was the Store employee). I feel like that is scamming individuals out of their money. I looked at the contract and no where did it say that the rental must be returned the day before to prevent future charges. I have two more children that may do band in the coming years and I will find somewhere else to rent from.

I am disgusted the way my account was handled by Music & Arts. I made an in-store payment and they withdrew from my account without my authorization. When I asked for a copy of the contract they gave me the runaround. I do not RECOMMEND this instrument rental place to anyone. I want my money back! $393.45

0 stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
They are a very shady company. I ordered a clarinet thumb rest online and they sent me trumpet cork. I called them to tell them their mistake so they end up sending me my thumbrest but also sent me a bill for $45.31 which I already paid. I called them and they told me they wouldn’t take the bill off until I sent back the trumpet cork. I asked them to send me a return label so I could… it was their mistake and they should pay for the shipping. They said they would email it to me and they never did. They then gave me a tracking number telling me to take it to UPS and then UPS would print a label… that isn’t how it works and UPS couldn’t print out a label.
I have been wasting so much time trying to get this bill cleared since I already paid it and they keep sending me to different people to talk with and nothing has been done. And for some reason, they don’t know each others extensions. I have had to talk with them at least 7 times now waisting my time… nothing has been done and this bill still hasn’t been cleared. I was supposed to talk with a Devon Paine and haven’t heard from her. I am so upset over this. Do not buy anything from them!!!

David G**** the manager at Music & Arts in the Highlands in Arlington Texas is into devil worshiping or in some sort of demonic cult. He openly promotes the aspects of devil worshiping. He had photos in his phone of obvious demon images.
I took my nephew to the store to explore the possibility of music lessons and was stunned and appalled at his demeanor. He suggested pills for music enhancement. He was apparently under the influence of drugs or pills.
I quickly left when he started suggesting the sacrifice of young girls in some demon rituals. I thought for a moment he was about to go off in some rage.
I suggest you take some immediate action before he completely loses control and acts on his deranged fantasies.
I have never witnessed such a display. He is obviously so obsessed with demon worship he has lost all sense of reality. David G**** shows all the signs of being a stalking psycho

Music and Arts cares nothing about you - they just want your money - and they don't care whether you receive what you paid for. According to them, it's your fault if you didn't.
My son's piano teacher in Ellicott City cancelled his lesson on March 17th. She sent us to the cashier to set up a make-up lesson. The employee saw us coming to make the appointment and walked away. When she saw we weren't leaving (after 5 minutes), she came up to us and her first words were: "A. doesn't have any make-ups until April so just try to get a make-up next time you're here. We said April was fine, and so after a few minutes looking at her screen, she said' "there aren't any until the end of April.' We said that was fine, but we couldn't make the one date she offered. I asked if A. worked other days and she replied. "She works Saturday, but she's booked solid. She works Wednesday's, but she's so busy I'm not even going to look there. I said that if we couldn't book a make-up, we would be fine for a refund. She said the contract says you have 90 days to schedule a make-up. I said, I'm willing to make an appointment today up to 90 days out, but if you won't give me one, we should get a refund - it's not our fault the lesson was cancelled. She quoted the contract again, but I said, "You can't charge us for a service not rendered, do you understand that?" She got furious, yelled that she was very good at her job and walked off, refusing to give me her name. The next day I cancelled my son's lesson, and although I think there is a two-week cancellation policy, no one could tell me if I would get refunded for half the lessons I had just paid for. The next week I tried to get a make-up, but the day that was available was 31 days after my cancellation and not allowed. They said they would fix it and call me but never did. Today they called to say that A. was only giving online lessons for the foreseeable future. I declined, so they cancelled my remaining lessons but are keeping my money!!!

Horrible scam of a company! I rented an instrument for an ESL student so they can experience playing an instrument. Never again. No one is ever available via chat, email, or phone. I'm also filing a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General for their shady business practices.

0 STARS! I was renting a clarinet for my daughter. We were moving from the school so I called customer service and asked them how to return the instrument, they gave me a return number and told me to take it to back to the school so that's what I did. 5 mouths go by and and all of a sudden 5 payments were taken out of my bank account all at once. So I called customer service and they tell me the instrument was never returned. So I had to call the school to find out where the instrument was. It was at the school the whole time setting on a shelf. I've called customer service every week for the past month and a half and now I'm having to wait for a refund that they say I may or may not get back.

The "customer service" here is abysmal bordering on fraudulent. We rented a trombone for my son and my credit card was compromised so I updated my credit card information online, and emailed and called customer service. They have continued to charge the old card and are now billing me for late fees. Additionally, I tried calling three different phone numbers, emailing, and the chat feature on their website which literally just times out after two hours. I went to a physical store and the people there were super nice but had no way to fix anything with my overall account. I finally managed to speak to a human today (after literally months of trying to call them and getting cut off) and she informed me that my web account is not at all related to my rental account and so the information that I see there has no bearing on...apparently anything.
