The response from Credit Karma states it is an automated response and has no bearing on this matter. The creditor does not show that the account was paid. If the account was paid by the consumers auto carrier, then AFS would ask that the consumer mail proof of payment. That information will then be forwarded to the creditor for verification. AFS will mail documentation to the consumer so that the consumer can have a better understanding of the nature of the debt. AmeriFinancial Solutions (AFS) does not claim to have a contractual relationship with the consumer. AFS is a collection agency and the account in question was placed with AFS for collection. AFS will honor the consumers desired resolution and request that account be deleted from the consumer's credit. AFS does not control the amount of time it takes for the credit bureau to honor such a request. AFS will send documentation that will enable the consumer to understand the nature of the debt. I am writing to file a complaint regarding the validation of a debt on my consumer credit report. Despite multiple attempts to seek proof of validation, your company has failed to provide any evidence regarding a debt that does not belong to me. Furthermore, you have furnished this alleged debt on my consumer report and failed to validate the claim pursuant to Sec. 809(b) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
As a consumer, I have a right to privacy and protection from inaccurate reporting on my credit report. Your company's actions have not only violated my right to privacy but also the permissible purpose of providing accurate information to consumer reporting agencies. According to 609(a)(1)(A), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report.
I demand that this item be removed from my credit report immediately as it is furnishing inaccurate and incorrect information to the consumer reporting agencies. The reporting of such inaccurate information has caused severe damage to my character, my reputation, my general mode of living, and my ability to obtain credit for personal and house purposes. Your inaccurate reporting has also damaged my livelihood.
According to 15 U.S. Code § 1681s–2 - Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies, furnishers have a duty to provide accurate information. A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.
The IRS clearly defines a charge off as Gross or Ordinary income, INCOME DOES NOT GET REPORTED ON THE CONSUMER REPORT which in fact makes your reporting of this account inaccurate! By definition, The IRS Clearly says a Cancelled debt or Charge off is Income. The reporting of this account as a debt is inaccurate.

AmeriFinancial Solutions (AFS) has no previous record of the
consumer requesting validation pursuant to Sec.
809(b) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. AFS is not sure why the
consumer is quoting Section 609 of the FCRA as that section governs the action
of a consumer reporting agency not a data furnisher. As to 15 U.S. Code § 1681s–2 -
Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies.
AFS had no reasonable cause to believe that the information it was furnishing
is inaccurate. The consumer’s statements about the IRS appear to be out of
context and not applicable to this account. Even though it is AFS’s position
that this matter was handled properly, AFS will honor the consumer’s desired
resolution and request that account ******** be deleted from the consumer's
credit and will make no further attempts to collect this debt. AFS does not
control the amount of time it takes for the credit bureau to honor such a

received a notice that I have a collection from AMERIFINANCIAL SOLUTIO on my credit report. It says it was opened on 04/20/2017 for $25 with account number starting in ******** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. The consumer may not remember but on 1/5/2018 the consumer made an arrange to pay $25.00 per month until the account was paid in full. On 1/24/2019, the consumer called AFS and changed the arrangement to $50.00 per month. The consumer has made numerous payments on the account the last one being made on 7/5/2019. The consumer still has a pending balance of $25.00, but after reviewing the account an considering the payments previously made AFS will honor the consumers desired settlement and request that the account be removed from the consumers credit.
