      This is early in their game, maybe 3 weeks so far so there will probably be more humorous stories to be told about this A+ BBB rated company that has over 400 reviews that are all 1 Star. How does that happen??? Anyways. Got a chocolate stain after a party on a covered fabric chair and they sent out a spray bottle basically saying - try to clean it yourself (that had already been done or we wouldn't have contacted Guardsman warranty protection. After reporting that their stuff didn't work they looped us back to re-file the report that it didn't work, and they looped us back with an email that has a do not reply back to this email function. The new email stated that they will send out (the same) cleaning spray bottle and we should try to get the stain out ourselves (again). So funny!! You can see why this company is successful. Somehow receive an A+ rating from the local BBB while at the same time keeping business costs as close to zero as possible while at the same time having a review rating of 1.06/5 stars via over 400 reviews. Fabulous business plan.

       star since I had to for a review. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! We purchased the protection plan at a local furniture store. We had the items for little over a yr n half when I remembered we had the protection plan. So I did a claim Feb. 10th 2023, on our couch (discoloration, cracking, scratches, and motor going out on the end recliner) & also on our recliner (same issues, something broken inside). I never got an email from them. No calls. I’ve repeatedly tried to call almost for a year now to get ahold of someone when I have time to waste. Normally set on the phone for a good hour before you give up or may get a person. Well today I spoke to 3 people. They had to keep transferring me , finally the last one a man told me I submitted the claim in 23’ but I listed on my claim the issues happened in March of 21’. I did not! We had just bought them around that time and definitely had no issues. I informed him that’s not right. I submitted claim in feb 23’ and the issues had happened just before that, kind over some time with coloring. He said nope. Also said the emailed me 30 days after my claim informing you it was denied. That’s a lie, I never had any email. He told me i should have read my claim over before submitting it so I didn’t screw up. I asked him to email me the claim I filled out he’s reading and he told me no! I said if it’s my claim, that I filled out then email it to me so I can see I messed up the date. I don’t remember the claim asking a date or why I would ever had put 2 years prior! He said no you had your chance to proof read before sending the claim. I said are you freaking kidding me? You can’t even send me that. He said have good day and hung up! Mind you I waited an hour to speak to someone. Their lines were cracking the entire time so it was so hard to hear what all they would say. I’ve called the furniture store and left a msg for manager due to this is the protection service they are recommending and how people are being treated. Terrible!!

      This company is a joke - they wont cover anything. I reported a wine stain on the chair and they refused to clean the stain because there were a few other spots elsewhere on the white chairs that i didnt ask them to clean - i just wanted the wine stain removed and they refused. They also considered fabric pilling the first month is normal wear and tear when it was hardly even used. Do not buy their warranty!

      Bought my first expensive couch & loveseat and included the Guardsman protection plan. The loveseat headrest reclined, which quit working. The repairman they sent took the back of the seat with him to repair it. He returned it completely ruined (fabric torn, missing the motor for the recliner, staples sticking out all over the back of it). Guardsman emailed me that it was unrepairable & since the company I bought it from was out of business, they were just going to refund me my $69.00 cost for the plan.

      I filed a claim more than 45 days ago. They told me I’d have to wait that long after their furniture repairman came and said that there was nothing that he could do, and that he would let Guardsman know that. He said you should receive an email within 3 days. I then called Guardsman. After waiting a long time, the person I spoke to said that I would wait much longer, 30-45 days. I called today, and the person said that I received an email. I didn’t. I made sure they had the correct email address. I check my email and junk email twice a day. I didn’t receive it. Now they’ve transferred me to another number. I have been waiting for over an hour on the phone Please don’t waste your money on their furniture insurance through reputable furniture stores. They take the money and just try to wear you down so you’ll give up

      Horrible customer service. It takes a long time to file a claim and then you get no updates for weeks. Id never buy this plan again.

      They do not cover anything. Please don’t even spend you money on this garbage company, and I will talk to a lawyer to sue them because what they do is still your money and never offer services

      DO NOT BUY GUARDSMAN!! We bought a brand new sectional sofa and bought the gold plan warranty. They had a person come out to look at our sofa and he said we should get a new one because the fabric used on it has a dye lot issue and is turning purple. We called the company and after waiting on hold for 2 hours, they refused to cover our sofa after THEIR mistake!! Cheap quality, horrible customer service, countless loopholes, can I give negative stars??

      FYI Guardsman insurance on Furniture sold via Nebraska Furniture Mart is A rip-off along with the repair technician ***************************.. We filed a claim 8-15-2023 and our furniture still isnt fixed and the technician cancels every time(reports to ckmoany we cancel) and then its another mth before we get scheduled. Just so frustrated for the cost of furniture shouldnt have to deal with this

      Guardsman Protection Plan is horrible. I purchased it on a $900. leather chair, the color wore off in the 1st year. Doesn't cover anything.
