      filed a claim 3/21/23. I was told that someone would be out to assess if the rug stain could be removed or if it needed replacement. A person came out after several weeks at a scheduled appointment. He had a rug washer with him. I was told they wash the rug but was not notified prior. I contacted the company who sent this person to find out 1)if the steam cleaning would hurt my wood floors 2) if pad was included in claim. During our discussion the guy left. The cleaning company reported I would not let their rep in my house when I was actually trying to get clarification. Furniture had to be moved which I had not planned for and could not do on my own. I called guardsman three times. Each call lasted 40-45 minutes when I was put on hold. No one got back to me and I’m told today they have too many calls and can’t take more until next week. I strongly advise that people think twice before purchasing this expensive insurance.

      I filed a claim for animal damage (cat urine) on a sectional piece. I filed a claim on 2/16/2023 and did not hear anything so I refilled a claim on 3/16/2023. At that time i also called Guardsman to set up a repair appointment as I had not received any correspondence. On 4/17/2023 a technician came the to house to assess damage and on 5/11/2023 the animal damage was determined to be ineligible for replacement under this plan. The biggest waste of money and time Ive dealt with.

      5-1/2 months after I filed claim for a motor that had quit on my recliner, I am still fighting to get the right part shipped and a technician worth a **** to my house. 2 tech visits, 1 wrong part, 2 months to get the 2nd part (still waiting) shipped. These people have got a great scam going. I bought the warranty through *********, will never do business with either again. If I could do ZERO stars I would.

      CRIMINAL!!!! CRIMINAL!!!! ALERT!!!The actions from this company! Where do I start ??? Rude operators, And I would say slow service ,,,,, but that would be a lie !! NO SERVICE is more like it . I have been waiting over 2 months now and the chair is still broken . Avoid them at all cost and save your self the *************************** of being taken advantage of !!!RIP OFF !!!!

      never take any type of protection plan from Guardsman,4999 36th street SE,Grand Rapids,MI 49512. I bought a massage chair from LAZ BOY,GLEN COVE,NY with Guardsman protection gold plan for 5 yrs. This is 2nd time we have same problem. I filled claim on 03/11/2023, till today 05/01/2023 no one called or email for an update. The person on phone keeps on transfering one department to another. At the time of purchase, they promise you 7-10 business days of fixing the problem. So i request you not to waste your money on these third party companies.

      Would give a zero if possible. This sompany has done everything in its power to not process our claim requests. The only time a "fix" was done was a poor stitch job on the seam of our couch cushion. That spot has ripped open again and even though we have had the same type of tear repaired before, they now claim that it is no longer covered. We still have a year left on our "warranty" and have just settled on the fact that the couch is c*** and they won't help us anyway.

      Same as all the rest. They ****. My 91 yr old MILs recliner won't raise her feet. This is important since she gets edema in her legs. Waited 2 months to get a tech out and of course they have to "order parts". It'll be another 6 weeks at least. I HATE THEM.

      Reclining couch cable broke so unable to put feet up. Filed a claim 2/25/23 didn’t hear from them until I contacted the furniture store and asked if they could please help. Technician came out 3 weeks later but didn’t have the right parts…even though you send the model number and literally told them it was the cable. Not it’s 4/29/23 2 months later and only got a email that the technician was there and couldn’t make the repair and they will review what to do next. Expect this to take 30-45 days for review… even though their web site states it only takes 7-10 days…ridiculous is what I call it. And shame on the furniture co for selling this crap protection

      Many lessons have been learned about this fraudulent warranty. I started a claim in August, 2022 and still have no resolution. My phone call today (after waiting on hold too long yesterday) netted nothing but my request to end my warranty so I can get my refund from the furniture store I purchased this through initially. I know that store is no longer contracting with Guardsman -- no surprise there. I also got nothing but attitude from *****, who was the customer no-service representative who took my call. She claimed Guardsman never received further documentation they had requested after my initial claim in August. I was able to pull up both emails with my response and included attachments as requested. She had one excuse after another. At least I am getting a store credit for the $435 I paid for this useless warranty. Never again!! Buyer beware:(

      slow or NO response. they will do anything to avoid providing the service you paid for. Called to get some answers, as I followed their ridiculous rules for submitting a claim to *** and never heard back; the man on the phone was not helpful and repeatedly tried to talk over me. I've never complained about a service in my life. how are they still in business???
