      They try EVERY possible way to keep you from filing a claim. Example:1. Weird rules, hoops, and fine print to ensure they are bound by their own contract (claims must be filed within a certain time frame; they don't specify any information you need, drag their feet, then surprise! you have to MAIL in a picture of your online order receipt that must be ON LOCATION within 30 days of the INCIDENT, not the claim, and not POSTMARKED by then.)2. Their website is awful. You can't really do anything there. There's only a phone number to call, and the wizard to submit a claim isn't great. 3. **************** is bad. The first two times I talked to them over the phone their phone system was acting up and we couldn't hear each other. Kept having to call back, though! Clock's ticking on the claim. Office hours are 9-5 Eastern, so if you don't live in that time zone you may need to get up at odd hours. 4. They have NO EMAIL ADDRESS. As in, if you need to submit information to your claim (like a receipt or a picture), you have to MAIL IT THROUGH THE MAIL SYSTEM. And, the kicker? It's all while the clock is ticking. It's painfully obvious that the company tries everything in their power to A) Frustrate you, B) Confuse you, and C) Waste your time; all so they can ******* down the clock and make you lose out on your benefits THAT YOU PAID FOR. The whole thing is a scam.

      We purchased a rocker recliner We purchased the extended warranty with Guardsman that guaranteed that IF anything went wrong with the recliner within five years it would be guaranteed fixed or replaced it. When my rocker broke a couple of weeks ago, I contacted them through email. Filled out a form and they asked at the time if I had pictures I could send or if they may require them later. I didn't at the time. Never heard back so I contacted them again and then they said they needed my sales to slip. Ask them to contact the place we purchased it Never heard back. I contacted them again and this time they said everything had to be mailed to them, without offering an address. I ask why, since we have been corresponding with them through email. They said because I never sent pictures the first time. This was never required with any of the other conversations. I ask him if he was just trying to give us the runaround and he then hung up on me and I have never heard from them since.

      Terrible customer service. I filled a claim for a tear in my sofa. And they denied it because its not covered I looked over the T&C and it say it covers punctures, rips, and tears. I asked how my tear wasnt covered when it clearly says it is in the T&C the representative said its in section 7.9 which my T&C does not have. I requested for that to be sent to me and they didnt. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me I couldnt. They told me the only way to get a refund would be to MAIL them a request. I feel like Ive been scammed

      This place is a scam!!! You pay a lot of money to have protection, but when it comes time to use that protection, you get denied. When calling about it, you get hung up on. Terrible place! So now Im out $2500 for my couch and $500 for the warranty.

      Unfortunately like everyone else, this company ripped me off. Lied about the coverage, and told me that they dont have to put down in the contract what is not covered. These furniture companies need to stop using them completely. Submitted the form online within the stated timeframe. Resent pictures which was the first excuse customer service gave me for the initial denial. Never heard from them. When I called after some time, I got hung up on. The absolute worst experience, but what do they care. They already got my money. The BBB should update their rating. They Do Not deserve that rating.

      It has now been 3 months since I submitted a claim on a recliner that the foot wont raise. It took 6 weeks before someone came out and looked at it. It needs a little plastic part but it is now 5 weeks later and Guardsman says it will be up to 6 weeks before they review the claim and then they will order the part from Lazyboy. Who knows when that will happen and how long that will take. It is a worthless warranty I paid for. Would definitely NOT recommend this company.

      I brought a ****** natuzzi sectional along with these losers to come and repair a small tear in the leather.well its seven months of many phone calls and lip service and NO repair .all types of excuses they send one loser named ****** who showed up after 5 pm and jerked around making excuses not to fix my couch and left !!! Lazy jerk he should be fired and rude to me DO NOT USE these people read these reviews

      I filed a claim and in less than 30 days I sent the paperwork. They claimed they never received it twice so I finally sent it certified and all of a sudden they received it and denied my claim. So I sent a letter to the reconsideration department and they still denied my claim. I asked to speak to upper management and she said I would have to write a letter. What freaking company doesnt have management to speak with. Im going as far as I can. I talked with the place we bought the furniture from and they canceled doing business with guardsman due to so many complaints from customers about guardsman. Tells ya something when they had to do business elsewhere

      Do not purchase the protection plan! I paid $120 for the protection plan. I was told it would cover any spills or a general cleaning. I've tried to submit 2 separate claims to have my couch cleaned and both have been denied. I wish I would have spent $120 paying a different company to come and clean my couch versus wasting my money on this protection plan that covers nothing.Horrible customer service as well!
