      I ordered pieces of large expensive pieces of furniture and added the guardsmen warranty to protect my purchases. They denied the claim in which the wood broke and the screws are now coming out of the bed. I dont understand why consumers are purchasing this as protection and then get denied. It is a total scam. Consumers are not protected or covered regardless and now we are out of money for a warranty that sucks! I will not be purchasing anything warranties from Guardsmen ever again.

      I will never buy a policy-or from a store that uses this company for warranty- again. Several attempts to contact with minimal response. Like weeks to months. When one of the three repairs occurred, the repair person broke a different part of the furniture and refused to fix it. His advice was to open another ticket for repair. Never, never again.

      SCAM SCAM SCAM I bought the policy from ******* for an area rug. I discovered a stain on the rug, and wasn't sure what caused the stain as I didn't witness the spill. So I filed a claim, the 1st claim "wasn't received" even tho I downloaded photos, and went thru the entire process. Shame on me for not writing down the claim number. So, I submitted everything a 2nd time. After reaching out to them when I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, they finally emailed stating that b/c the cause of the stain was "unknown" which is what I clicked on in their drop down menu, the stain isn't covered. I wrote back to say it was most likely apple juice, or another beverage, & they responded with...."we cannot modify your previous claim". I didn't want to state initially that it might be apple juice, as that could be giving false info, making a false claim can result in prosecution as they mention in the claim process. So by stating, I didn't know exactly what caused the stain, the claim is dismissed.

      On Feb 13, 2023, after contacting Sleep Galleria, and being emailed a receipt by them, I submitted a claim to Guardsman Warranty company concerning a massage chair I had purchased from Sleep Gallaria on 6/10/21 that I had purchased a 5 year Guardsman Furniture Warranty on, which claim went into their queue to be checked out later. On March 18, 2023, over a month later, a technician was sent to my house to check out the defective chair, who assured me that he would be able to fix the chair, but needed to turn the information into Guardsman in order to get their approval, and obtain the parts needed to fix the chair. On April 26, 2023, over 30 days after the technicians visit, I received an email from Guardsman informing me that they were finally reviewing the technicians report, and that they would be in contact with me within 7-10 business days with more information. Then on May 1, 2023, I received an email from Guardsman informing me that the retailer that I bought the chair from was now either closed, had changed ownership, or had stopped selling their protection plan, and stating that per their agreement that if they were unsuccessful in repairing the damage to the furniture, and are unable to provide a replacement, or re-selection, or if the retail store where I purchased the chair has closed, changed ownership, or no longer carries the Guardsman Plans, that they will provide me with a refund of the purchase price of the plan, and asking me to verify my address for the refund check. Since the reason we are in a situation now where the retailer that I purchased the massage chair from is either closed, or has changed ownership, is because Guardsman failed to process this claim in a timely manner while the retailer was still in business, I believe that Guardsman should either fix the chair, or replace it with a new chair like they stated they would do in their warranty instead of merely offering a refund for the purchase price of their warranty.

      I'd leave negative stars if i could. I made a service request in February for a broken power recliner. The repairman finally came on Mar 29 to "evaluate" the damage. He suggested it would be quicker if I went through LaZBoy and got the parts myself. I had them in a week. Now it's six weeks later. Guardsman is now stalling by telling me they're so busy and they'll get to me soon. These people are nothing but unscrupulous charlatans. They have no intention of honoring the warranty I purchased. Save your money.

      I purchased A 10 year warranty on my recliner chair. In the eighth year, the chair had some issues in which I submitted a claim to guardsmen. Guardsmen continually lies by saying they did not receive the claim and when they finally did, they denied it saying that it was not covered. On their policy it clearly states what is covered. The damage I have is exactly in line with what the policy is supposed to cover. I contacted them over and over and was met with nothing but rudeness and they hung up on me multiple times. I left a message with the corporate office several times and no one has called me back. Every company is dropping guardsmen because of the unethical unprofessional way of doing business. They steal your money and dont honor there warranty. Our family is seriously debating on taking guardsman to court.

      I wish I could give them a zero! Waste of money arrogant employees. They don't accept any claim. Wish I never bought it!

      They are the worst, I just lost 300 dollars for nothing. These people are doing nothing more but stealing people's money. I will never add insurance to any purchase ever again,it's a scam. The Better Business Bureau Agencu should definitely get involved, we are being ripped off.

      The warranty is useless. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I had two issues with the furniture. The first, (which should have been covered & they completely disregarded) I could tell them the exact date it.... happened within hours. The second, (an arm) was covered and I wasn't able to tell them how or when it happened IS covered? Wait, what?

      Look at everyone else's comments. Terrible business practices. Don't answer calls, they play the game of wating for you to give up on the line. They make you jump through hoops to file a claim. I'm sick on this. The furniture companies also need to be held responsible for partnering with these sleezy companies. All state offers insurance. Just use a reputable company..
