Hello,I began "Sofwave" [skin tightening treatments] at Light Rx, located @******************************************************************** My first session was on 1/25/23, the next was on 2/14/23, the last treatment was on 3/16/23. The cost for 3 treatments was $2500.00, paid upfront, before they even started the procedure. I was told that I'd start seeing results within 45 days of completion. I NEVER saw ANY ******** ******* been 5 mos. since my first visit.)I wrote to them telling Light Rx that I was displeased, & that these were unsatisfactory results. They responded by telling me to e-mail their corporate office, which I did, several times, along with leaving 3 voicemails!I was finally contacted (2 weeks later) by *****************************, I believe she stated that she was the regional manager. She wasn't very pleasant on the phone at all, and I tried to explain to her that I was unhappy about the services, that they proved NO ******** ***** like a full refund. She responded that she wouldn't provide a refund.Their ************** are fraudulent, & I'm seeking assistance with the BBB to obtain a refund of $2500.Thank you for your consideration!Sincerely,************************* (p.s) I've recently seen a different Dr. to get the desired results on my face, & had to have fillers injected, since Light Rx was less than honorable.Business Response

***** received all 3 purchased treatments, last treatment for the package was rendered on 4/13/2023. Our regional director reached out to Merry to go over results and explained that treatment is conducted every 45 days, and that full results could take up to 6 months. We asked for Merry to come in for a treatment evaluation for photos and personal assessment which she declined. ***** received all purchased treatments and is not eligible for a refund. We do not have a guarantee on any of our treatments and that is noted on our website and in our consent forms which Merry signed. Light Rx ads & services are fraudulent. I followed their protocol & did not see any improvement or results, accept after the treatments, my facial skin is more sensitive to pain & bruising, which leads me to believe that the sofwave treatments caused nerve damage!

February of 2023 I financed treatments through LightRx. The Loan was through this financing company that is affiliated with LightRx called Universal Account Servicing. My loan that I have to pay off is $2,795. I was told these treatments for my excess skin would 100% work. I asked the Director a few times because it sounded too good to be true if these would really make my skin look normal and she assured me over and over again it would work. I went every week and there is no difference. I tried to solve the problem with them explaining that there is no difference which they can clearly see with the before and after pictures. She is saying she never said it would work now and will not refund me or cancel my loan. I dont want to pay for something that didnt work and they are making me pay since I got the treatments even though they didnt work. They scammed me and make it impossible to get a straight answer. Everyone tells me something different and I have caught them in multiple lies. I am not the only person to have a bad experience with them, or to claim they are scammers. This company scammed me.Business Response

I went into Laser Lipo March 2023 to have a free consultation about receiving laser lipo on my double chin. ***** was extremely nice and expressed that I would only need 10 treatments because the area was small and that would deliver my desired results. I paid for 10 treatments in full for $700. I began treatments March 16th, 2023. Throughout my treatment I expressed that I wasnt not seeing results dispute coming routinely and following all the instructions that were provided at the first treatment. They tried to up sell me and said I should have also brought the legacy package. Now why would I spend another $1200 when in my consultation I was told that the treatments I purchased would achieve my desired results. I am requesting a refund because this is unacceptable. The treatments were 20 mins each for for 10 weeks. My last treatment was May 15th, 2023. Staff is very nice but who is going to spend $700 and not get the results they were promised. Thats false advertising.Business Response

On 05/11/2023 I went to this business to have a interview to see if they could do liposuction Procedure , they stated that they could do it today. Normally they look at your body to see what needs to be done. They evaluate your body for possible treatment and that did not happen. They advertise for 40 percent off and $250.00 dollars off and the lady stated that she would give me additional 10 percent off. I informed them that I did not want to finance this, I used my debit card and they debited my card in the amount of $1800.00. They took me back to the treatment room, I took my shirt off and I had scarring from a previous injury. They stated that they could not do the treatment and they would refund me the money. I have called back several times regarding my refund. They have informed me that they have sent information to the **************** and I asked for the number. I called corporate call center to speak with a supervisor and I never was able to speak with a a supervisor regarding my refund. I would like to be refunded in the amount of $180.00Business Response

I came in to the Novi location of LightRx in January. ****, the manager at the time, convinced me to sign up for two Treat2Complete packages - flanks and abdomen. The packages were about $7300. On several instances, there were problems with the machines. Not working right, changing settings, sensors issues. After about 1/3 of the treatments, I voiced my concerns to Novi about how I wasn't seeing any results. They assured me to keep going. After my second bliss on my flanks, this was the second session I had where I was in tears from the pain. I stopped the treatment, but LightRx told me to keep going with Legacy and Lipo. They came up with all these reasons that I could be having pain including to not take my medications prior to the treatment because it could cause pain... WHAT? I have called corporate several times with no response. I have voiced my concerns about the lack of results since a few treatments in. I have been now told that I have gained weight, it is my fault, the treatments work but I didn't do my part, etc... they can only measure results after the treatments are complete and they can't do any refunds because the treatments are complete. Shady shady shady. I have voiced my concerns over and over to MULTIPLE parties. No one is listening. I'm not paying $7300 for something that does not work. I do not want additional treatments since the 16+ I have received do not work. I have been drinking extra water, doing tummy massages, and eating healthier. These are all things they wanted me to do. Their treatments DO NOT WORK. I want at least 80% of my money back. I will pay them for their time, but otherwise, this is snake oil. Also, don't continue to try to sell me other products and services when the ones I signed up for aren't working.Business Response

You can not charge someone $7000 for something that doesn't work. I purchased two Treat2Complete packages in order to amp up the body contouring. This has done nothing. Surgery is cheaper and more effective. Yes, individual results my vary, however, I have spoken to them almost every visit about how I was unhappy that the machines weren't working, changing settings, there were problems, I wasn't seeing results, etc. I am happy to pay for a small portion to cover the time and expense of the team members, but $7000 for no results is absurd. I will not be paying the $7000 and will take this to court if needed. I have not received any results from their treatments and have continued to speak to multiple employees of LightRx without any resolution throughout the process. They are smooth talkers and tell you that you have to finish the treatments to see results, even if you are unhappy, and then won't do anything because you completed the treatments. It is a scam.

I had laser hair removal. The laser didn't work on my skin and when I asked for a refund initially they said all they could do is give free sessions. Now that I finished a package that I paid for upfront and asked for a refund before the sessions were complete they won't even give me my money back.Every time I came here they asked about my credit score so that they could get me to buy more packages. Also they never mentioned that the laser may not work on darker skin before I purchased.Business Response

*************************The so called complimentary items weren't all free. The free facial came with the treatment package I purchased and the other's came after I said I saw no results. What they don't tell you is their machines aren't guaranteed to work and are not likely to work on people with dark skin. They're literally a company that scams people and promises results that don't happen. At the time of purchase they never told me everything regarding my darker skin. This place is racist beyond measures. There's a reason they have new directors every few years and have filed bankruptcy.

I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal in 05/21. Once I finished the Groupon services, I was up sold a package for ******** (sp). Supposedly, ******** did everything... treated acne, reduced wrinkles and reduced hair growth. I thought great; I get bonuses on top of the laser hair removal. So for $1,000, I was sold a 5 treatment package.Unfortunately, after 2 sessions, it became clear the procedure was not working. I mentioned this every time I went in for an appointment. I kept getting excuses.... 'oh, was I being treated for acne or hair removal?' It was always hair removal. Then I was told the computer had me listed for acne.... I wasn't being treated for hair removal at all. Ok, mistakes happen. I agreed to a few more sessions supposedly making sure the procedure was set for hair removal. However, there was still no noticeable improvement. Then I was told, 'oh well maybe this procedure isn't the best for you, everyone is different.' Then I was switched to an 'older technology' (don't know the name) but I believed it to be equivalent to the laser hair removal procedure I had been successfully using for 15 years prior to the pandemic. No such luck, there was hair left on the surface of my skin when the procedure was done, which had never happened when I went to my previous provider. At that point, I cancelled my next treatment (scheduled for 01/28/23) and asked for a refund. Despite asking, calling, talking to ***, corporate liaison, my complaint has not been addressed. At this point I feel that either the techs didn't know what they were doing, the technology doesn't work the way they thought it would or I've been scammed and they knew up front that ******** would not remove hair. I believe that all of the 'oh, we made a mistake, oh, maybe another procedure will work better for you' was all a part of of their defense should I ask for a refund. They are only willing to provide more treatments. What sense does that make when the treatment doesn't work?Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
[You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please type details here:]The 'complimentary' sessions provided by the company were because I continued to be treated for acne as as opposed to hair removal (according to the Alexandria location). This was discussed with 'Naz' at the center as well as other techs during the course of the treatment. I was never told I was being given 'complimentary' sessions, I was told on multiple occasions that I was not receiving the hair removal service. In fact, the reason why a different procedure was used at my last appointment was because I continued to complain about the procedure not working. As in my original complaint, the last procedure also did not show any signs of being effective at what was claimed by the center rep which caused me to cancel the upcoming 'complimentary' session. Again, all of these stall tactics-- the complimentary sessions-- were clearly an effort to justify not returning any of the payment made despite not one of the treatments I received from the Groupon to the ******** to the final laser treatment actually impacting/slowing the growth of hair... which was the point of purchasing the service. Despite what the company claims, the service provided is not effective, does not do what they claim and I received no benefit from the services received. My money should be refunded.

I was getting back treatments done at LightRX and I've completed those, and then they talked me into getting facial treatments, but I just can't afford it, so I told them I can't afford it and I want to stop the treatments, but they said I couldn't once I start on it. How do I not have the right to change my mind when I'm clearly saying I no longer want the treatments because I simply cannot afford it. They can't just force me to continue. I want this to result in getting my treatments cancelled and me not having to pay them any more money. Every time I'm almost done with one thing, they always try to talk me into getting something else after I keep telling them I can't afford it, and they won't respect what I'm saying.
