Worst insurance company ever been with. Avoid this company, in fact run away fast. Had a claim, not our fault, insurance company didnt investigate it properly, accepted liability and refuse our medical claim. Other motorist was uninsured. Poor customer service. Non responsive. 1 starThe fact I cannot speak with someone at Auto-Owners Insurance at the negligance from my agency is an absolute disgrace. 1 starThank you for talking me into taking the pictures and sending them in so you and your company can Payless then what I need to get my truck fixed. I guess this is what you get for being a honest person. Your driver hit me and altered my life thank God my family was not with me! You go about your life in this position of not being the person you should be by being someone the world can trust. I pray the next claim that hits your desk you be more understanding! Now I have to add a $1000 dollars to the low payment you sent me to fix the damage your customer caused. One again thank you for just being You! Leaving Her name out but just know if one of there people hit you. DON'T TAKE PICTURES through there system..just take it to your shop of choice and demand they PAY! 1 starOne of their customers hit our vehicle and totaled it. This was the worst service I have ever experienced. We worked with ******* quotes at the ************* ******* office. When we reached out with issues we spoke to ********************* and ****. We had to fight hard to get payment while being a family of 4 and having no vehicle. They were rude and stopped responding to my emails and voicemails. I did finally receive the payment but after I reached out to higher **** They had the office call me today and **** was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. She spoke to me in a very condescending way. Im still waiting for my vehicle loan to be paid. They are telling me it will but its up to my bank. Im patiently waiting and hoping I never have to call them again. Do not use this company if you dont have to. It was a terrible experience for us in so many ways. We already were stressed over a car accident that involved my daughter, loosing a vehicle, trying to find another one with no money and then a rude company on top of it was not needed at all!Review fromJanan L.

1 starIn July of 2021, a 200 square foot section (40'x60') of our roof collapsed during a severe storm which caused a neighboring brick roof to fall onto ours. This claim was immediately reported to Auto-Owners and their adjuster visited our business the same day to view the damage. Two years later, our roof remains damaged and Auto-Owners has not protected our business from this catastrophic claim for which we paid premiums for years. We have had numerous contractors, engineers, structural engineers and consultants assess the damages and provide estimates for its repair, all of which have been submitted to Auto-Owners for approval. Auto-Owners has provided us with an amount that they will pay for the repairs; however, the amount offered is less than any of the estimates we have submitted. Auto-Owners has refused to abide by their agreement to protect our business in the event of damages yet they have continually refused and/or failed to provide any type of concern for the damages we sustained from the storm in 2021, nor any other consequential damages caused by flooding and the roof's continued state of damage. Auto-Owners refuses to return phone calls, answer emails, or provide any service to our business even though they collected the premiums we paid for coverage without any ado. Two years is far too long to leave damages from a catastrophic event unrepaired. Two years is far too long to leave an insured in a situation that restricts the work and storage areas that causes more damages due to lack of workspace and unsafe conditions. 1 starWith my first basement flood they were actually pretty great. This time, they dropped the ball. Especially the claims adjuster ***************************. She never once called to let me know she was my adjuster, never informed me about my limit. I had to find out from service master that I'm reaching my limit, but that I had to call her to find out my limit. Service Master sent me her contact information, because she never reached out to me. Apparently a failed sub pump is considered back up and sewage and there's a 10K coverage that includes both mitigation and repairs. So now I've reached my limit on coverage and I can't get my basement repaired. I have to pay over 10k to get my basement back to it's original state. CEO Auto Owners Insurance My letter to you dated January 5, 2023, sent via USPS Certified Mail with return receipt, was received by your office on January 9, 2023. However, the signature and printed name on the return receipt are undecipherable. As elucidated in my letter to you, my dissatisfaction with Auto Owners personnel is based my observance regarding reliability, thoroughness, rectitude, dedication, sophistication, or simply put, professional behavior. I am disappointed that I did not receive a reply directly from you. Instead, I received correspondence from the one of the lowest common denominators in the organizational chart of Auto Owners, the claim personnel. “The Buck Stops Here” is a desk sign made by the Federal Reformatory at El Reno, Oklahoma, and delivered to President Harry S. Truman in 1945 at the request of a friend of President Truman, Fred A. Canfil. President Truman referred to the desk sign in many public statements, including his farewell address to the American people in 1953. He stated, “The President – whoever he is – has to decide. He can’t pass the buck to anybody. No one else can do the deciding for him. That’s his job.” In regard to President Truman’s assertion of where the buck stops, this would be you. It is evident other persons are dissatisfied with personnel from Auto Owners Insurance. The Better Business Bureau’s overall rating as of February 19, 2023 is 1.32 out of 5, or one (1) star out of five (5) stars. Over the last six months, many complaints of BBB customer reviews are extremely direct, unpleasant, expressing the feelings of disgruntled customers, and for which there is not always a response from Auto Owners Insurance. In my opinion, evaluating the issues I identified should be investigated internally at a much higher level than the lowest level of the assigned claim office. Obviously, the claim office cannot be objective due to its invested interest in the matter.Auto-Owners Insurance Group

1 starThis is the worst i have ever been treated by an Insurance company. After being rear ended by one of their customers at no fault of mine. With damage to my automoble and trailer i was hauling work supplies on just as i do every other day. Now they dont want give me the money to replace the trailer with even the cost of a used trailer. They want me to get brand and vin numbers from used trailers that people are selling so they can see if they are compatible with my trailer. I dont feel that should be my job to try to do that (also someone is not just going to give you that infomation that easy) so to make a long story short if you deal with this company exspect to be taken advantage of and no get what your suppost to get . I was injured by Dr. *************** assistant on 02/28/2020 when the assistant allowed a steel rod to swing down and hit me over the head in Dr. ****** exam chair. I suffered a concussion and a hit to my right upper arm. I have permanent short-term memory loss and other damages. Dr. **** purged my records but filed a claim with her insurance, Auto-Owners Insurance ****** *** sent me an email on February 13, 2023 and called me stating that I had 30 days to respond with information on the claim or the claim would be closed. I responded with a demand letter within the 30 days and explained my damages. *** replied back on 3/16/2023 and said that the claim was closed. Had a fire in Sept 2021 in apartment unit from a fire. The Apartment Complex placed a collection on my credit report without taking me to court. I notified Auto Owners as my insurance agency. Even though I had them as renters insurance at the time of the fire and they determined I was not negligent, they have refused to step in. The collection agency has $30,000 on my credit report and for two year Auto Owners Attorney's say it's not their responsibility unless I am sued directly. They refuse to provide any legal council or direction regarding the fire issue I should have coverage for. I have never been served court papers and there is no judgement on the amount, but they still won't help me in the situation despite the fact I had renters insurance.Auto-Owners Insurance Group
