      I received dental work from Great Ecpressions and was told my insurance covered all charges. They then started sending me bills. I called and they said they made a mistake and would fix it. But a year later they are sending me double the bills for something that was covered by the insurances company. From what they tell me the person who did the billing originally and told it was paid is not working there anymore.

      My daughter, ************************* orthodontic treatment was completed in March of 2023 at the ************* location. During her treatment her secondary insurance changed and a claim was NOT submitted to the new insurance and I was overcharged $1100.00. I was originally told that this insurance would not pay anything even though the insurance told me directly that a claim was not submitted to them. 8 months later on 11/28/2023 I finally received a call from **** telling me that I WAS owed $1100.00 and that it would be deposited to my account within 2 weeks and definitely before Christmas. On 1/2/2024 I called **** to see why the money had not been deposited. He said he would put in another ticket. It is now 1/17/2024 and I still have not been refunded. I have emailed with NO RESPONSE and have sat on hold for hours on their main customer service line and couldn't get through to speak with anyone. IN SUMMARY, I HAVE BEEN OVERCHARED $1100.00 BECAUSE OF A FAILURE OF GREAT EXPRESSIONS TO SUMBIT AN INSURANCE CLAIM, WAITED 8 MONTHS FOR THEM TO ADMIT I AM OWED MONEY AND NOW THEY WILL NOT RESPOND TO ME.

      I took both of my children to Great Expressions in ************, ** for orthodontic care(Braces) and after a consultation and signing my contract for braces for two children, paying a $600 deposit as well as my dental insurance paying their portion I thought everything would be ok. Both of my children went in the back to begin the process of having their braces applied. My son brackets were put on which included the wires that will be tightened on the next visit. As for my daughter they put maybe 8 brackets on her teeth and told me that she have to have several teeth removed first and then they will finish putting on her brackets and wiring. I was then walked to the other side of the building for the oral surgeon consultation which but they dont have any appointments until February for a consultation and then they will schedule her surgery to remove whatever teeth that was requested to be removed. Because of this I asked the office several times to pause her monthly billing because the several bracket stickers(Some has since fell off because they werent secured) doesnt equate to having braces. I was told that management will call me once she arrives, not only was I not called but my card was charged. I have no problem paying for services but its not way that I should be billed or my insurance company be billed for a patient that doesnt have braces. This company could have just say have her teeth removed first and then we will start her braces, they are so money hungry they had my daughter lay on the table, have her a couple of brackets to say that shes started her treatment, billed my insurance and we received nothing. My daughter is so upset that this happened. Every time she eat a bracket fall out. I want my daughter to be treated properly. My son has an appointment next month as well for tighten of his braces, my daughter doesnt which is why I know this company know they shouldnt be billing me yet for services. My daughter billing should start later.

      1/8/24 I had a root canal done followed by a crown last year january by Dr ******************** Over the holiday the crown fell out when I was brushing and I Called the great ***************** and they gave me an appointment to put it back. The dentist Dr. **** said my crown came out with part of my too th and there is nothing they can do, the only option is for dental implants. The implants office charges from theisr side is $ ****. The oral surgein has not yet added hs charges yet. The office and dentist are not atking responsibility for their part, they should pay for that procedure because of their incompetence, but now they want me to pay all this out of pocket to get a solution for my teeth.

      My mother is an elderly patient of this office. They coerced her into getting expensive braces when they are not needed. She is on a fixed income and she can now no longer pay for her other bills. She has gone 72 years without a single dentist telling her that she needed braces. When she expressed concern about whether or not she truly needed them and the cost, they called Care Credit and signed her up for a credit card without her truly understanding the amount of money she would be spending.

      No quality customer service. As soon as I walk in and approach the desk I am deliberately ignored. I sit down and wait. Not even 5 minutes pass and a white woman comes in, thats when the receptionist immediately looks up to acknowledge her. I let that slide. I sign in and sit down. Waited a couple minutes before being called in to the back room. I am told to have a seat that the doctor would be in shortly. Exactly 1 HOUR after being taking into the back which at this point is 1 hour and 15 minutes since initial arrival and I am still waiting. The doctor has yet to come in. As I peek my head out the room Im waiting to be seen in, I see the doctor, the oral surgeon Im waiting on, go into another room to start with another patient. I go to the front to ask them whats the hold up and I tell them that I have been waiting exceptionally long just to be seen for a consult. The first thing out the receptionist mouth is that nobody has taken my turn, so then I ask who am I waiting for and she walks me to the back and then realizing that the doctor is mid surgery in the next room, she incessantly starting making claims that the doctor would be right in and a couple more minutes. This went on for ****************************************************** the next room. The receptionist blatantly lying to my face doesnt have any answers for me. I mean seriously, I was just there for a consult which means just talking. So why was I being made wait for two different patients and their procedures? I understand theres always a wait when goin to see a doctor but after an hour I should be face to face talking to the doctor. Not going on to two hours with no end in sight. TERRIBLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE PEOPLE!!!!

      I was told in person June 2023 that I would receive my $492.00 refund within two weeks. It is now December 2023 and I yet to receive my refund. I have called twelve times to the **********, ** Great Expressions Office and no one with authority abilities to handle my refund will answer the phone, nor call back. I have just called for the thirteenth time. Finally spoke with ******, whom handles the refunds. ****** informed me she sent an email back in October 2023 to the manager *********************** about my $492.00 refund. ****** stated she sees the refund was never sent through by them. I am more than irritated from the unprofessional practices of this location and ***********************, manager and ******, treatment coordinator, refusal to give me my $492 credit back which they have stated, and its in the paperwork that I should be receiving it. Six months and I do not receive any phone calls back nor have I received my refund. This office is completely unprofessional and they are literally stealing money from clients.

      GEDC billed a specific amount for specific services in Sept of 2022, which was paid in full at time of services. Approximately (2) months later in November of 2022, and immediately after I had just gotten up from the chair of a moderately intense oral surgery procedure at their facility and was paying for that most current service, GEDC proceeded to inform me (verbally) of an additional amount (disputed amount, $237.20) still owed for services already rendered, invoiced, and paid in Sept 2022, but had provided no prior notice, bill, or invoice. Having no prior notice or documentation, I declined to immediately pay this additional amount and instead requested supporting information needed to validate the new request. To this day this has never been received. On 12/5/23, when in office by appointment to obtain information originally requested, the GEDC receptionist ***** became extremely irate and aggressive when failing to provide the supporting documentation and was informed the charges were too vague and ill presented to be considered for payment. Despite my remaining calm and reasonable throughout our interaction, ***** proceeded to become increasingly aggressive in her language, at one point questioning what I did for a living and then made derogatory statements towards me based on my stated profession, made strange allusions to GEDC "having 400 offices and doing well, so, just pay the bill", and vaguely threatening statements that GEDC "may be able to charge even more so I should be happy and just pay this amount. When I informed her legal action may be forthcoming, she threatened me with police yet made several aggressive advances towards my person while becoming increasingly abusive verbally. She then told a coworker she "was kicking me out because she already told me the office was closed and I was there anyway", despite being there by appointment. I felt extremely uncomfortable and threatened in the final minutes of this interaction.
