      I needed a picture for my new job badge and employer insisted that it has to be done by "professional photograph". I came to a JCPenney Portrait studio and did it. It happens to be that JCPenney "just did photos" which are further managed by Lifetouch. In short, it took a whole week, repeated visit in person, several hours on the phone (it is extremely difficult to get any sort of real human customer support by calling *******************, more hours on similarly useless chat, ignored email and tons of nerves as delay of new badge making was essentially threatening my new job to get just ONE downloadable picture. It is a kind of action which in the year of 2023 should take seconds. Meanwhile, every attempt to contact Lifetouch was overfilled with "offers" to buy more and more of useless stuff for absolutely ridiculous amound of money, so much that it looked like an extortion attempt. The picture in question was "offered" as a part of "album" for $169, and one person I finally spoke with had the temerity to actually suggest paying that much for only one picture which by that time was already paid for! To add to all negativity, Lifetouch is "partnering" with Shutterfly, another producer of "memories" with its own "security system", taking customers' personal information with unknown purpose and conditions of preserving and "offering" more of the expensive junk. Next time I really will negotiate badge making based on a photo from cell phone, just like salary and PTO, so that not to do anything with Lifetouch.

      AWFUL!!! In the age of digital photography, they least they can do is take a few pictures. Instead, you get one and it's hit or miss. Last year we had to retake the pictures and it looks like we'll have to do the same this year. It is beyond my comprehension how photographers who work with so many children an not capable of producing a natural smile and also think that those are pictures that we would want for a life time.

      Horrible company I would not recommend to anyone 3 years in a row 3 years of messed up school pictures I wish this place would go out of business and wish my school district would use someone else

      Horrible pictures almost every single time. One child decent while their sibling at a different school is too far back in the picture so their face is too small even in an 8 x 10 so they look weird next to each other on a wall. When are schools going to stop using this garbage company? **************** is horrible, prices are way too high and the pictures are not even good. At all.

      Lifetouch is a straight up joke! Cant even get thru to a regular person for help. They just hang up on you and or keep referring you back to their menu options which lead no where useful! Leaving this review in hopes of getting some actual service *doubtful

      TERRIBLE EVERYTHING. Charged me $40 for one digital download with a standards ugly gray background, even though my order confirmation shows "background of choice." Have tried working with customer service on this and only get frustration, no solution. (Their solution was for me to log on to their site and pay more for more backgrounds, which I had already paid for. Our of curiosity I went in to see the other backgrounds and the are UGLY. So maybe it's not worth the fight, except to get some of my money back.)Why would ANYONE pay $40 for one yucky digital download??? Will be asking my credit card company to reverse these charges. My son's school, just down the road, charges same amount for an unlimited amount of background choices, many of which are super cool! So cool that we couldn't decide on one, and just downloaded all the ones we liked. Will be highly suggesting our school switch to AP Visions for future.

      Wish I could give zero stars. Schools should stop using this price gouging company taking terrible photos of the kids and expecting outrageous payments on packages! A digital package for 2 digital photos that will get emailed to me and then I will print myself is almost $50! Ridiculous. We should all ban together and boycott lifetouch taking school portraits!

      This is the second year in a row that we've had issues with my daughter's school pictures. Last year, when our order envelope was delivered, it was empty except the proof/receipt. There were no photos, despite the fact that we ordered a full package. I contacted them, and after several weeks, I received 2 orders worth of the photos (I only needed one order). This year, I just checked my daughter's photo on the Shutterfly app before receiving the physical pictures, and her eyes are closed. Apparently they don't check the photos they take before moving to the next child. It took me 30 minutes to get through to someone on the phone to get my order cancelled. The customer service representative was clearly in another country. They try to get you to use their chat feature for customer service, but it was slow and unhelpful. So now we have to do retakes in 2 months. I'm so frustrated, and I'm worried it will be another bad photo since they seem to just snap one and not check. I wish our school used a different company.

      So I get emails from them saying all you need is this code to order site unseen I might add. Then you get another emailing telling you that they are ready to view and now you need more then your order number you need student ID. Had that but then you need portrait id which of course does not come back until weeks later. I am talking about digital here. So how many codes do you need? Terrible service and not user friendly.

      Their choice of shipping carrier failed to deliver my package or contact me adequately 3 times. I was forced to pay for the re-shipment and was put on hold due to technical difficulties. Their hours are not feasible for those who work during regular hours. The photos were incredibly expensive initially, let alone the additional cost and taking 7 months to date.
