In December of 2022, I asked ********** to give me my money from my bank accounts. I had one account with $200.00 in it and another one with $902.00 in it and I received $200.00 however never received the $902.00. ********** would never give me the money so I have tried contacting US Bank since US Bank took over ********** and can not get any response from them either. The bank returned a check for $290. I then made another payment via check for $290. A couple days later the check that was returned was then cashed. I was then unable to stop the payment. I was then assuming the next check for $290 would be returned because I didn't have the funds available. Yet the bank cashed it anyway. I have a pay card through US Bank. They won't give me access to online banking. They lie about resolving my problems when I call them. They won't unlock my card. They're very rude and they don't listen to me when I tell them that I can't do what they tell me to.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.It's unfortunate that it took a complaint to the BBB and over a month to resolve this problem. It'd be nice if the customer service reps could say something like, "I'm sorry that everything I've tried hasn't been working. Please, allow me to refer to someone who has more experience/authority and find a solution to this problem." instead of continuing to insist that they're right and the customer is mistaken about the existence of a problem. At least, it's been fixed now.

On 10/12/2023 a gift card in the amount of $300 was purchased at Ralphs at ********************************************* The card was activated and registered online. The card was attempted to be used at multiple stores and it never worked. I attempted to get a new plastic sent to me and was asked to fax or upload a proof of purchase. When I go online to try to upload the information requested the website is not working. Over the phone all you're able to do is speak to someone who is adamant that you fax over the information.Business Response

The ELAN FINANCIAL SERVICES of Copper State ************ in *******, ** continuously persists on sending me letters regarding the Bank account and **** Platinum Card I have closed since June, 2020. I am extremely angry now after 3-4 years that they DO NOT respect, acknowledge or follow my request to STOP calling me and/or sending me letters regarding the account and **** Credit Card that I no longer have and closed since June, 2020. I am now tired, frustrated and disappointed with those numerous calls I've made to both ELAN FINANCIAL SERVICES and the Copper State ************ in *******, ** informing them that I no longer have an account and/or **** Credit Card with them. I've explained and requested to please remove my information, address, phone number from their "Mailing / Contact List". I purchased $500 prepaid **** card on March 26, 2023.I tried to use the prepaid card, it was asked to enter the *** #. I have tried to use the last 4 digit as my *** # as the package did not have separate number or code. It is noted as invalid and I cannot use it. I have tried to ***** number for month over 40 times but cannot fix. I was asked to go through the automated system but it always directed to live person in call center who cannot help. I have tried to register via website but failed. it is noted that the card is locked as I attempted too many times. Also, tried the "card not working" link on the website with full bar code number, but failed again. As such, I have received fax number to resolve this issue. I faxed on May 2nd 2023, they have not updated the status. I still cannot use $500 prepaid card.Business Response

- The dealer received a payoff quote for my vehicle for $56,375. - I traded in my vehicle on 10/26/2023 and the contractually agreed upon payoff amount was $56,375 - On 11/1/2023, I made a payment for $1,064.57 for the vehicle I traded in because the dealer had not yet paid off the vehicle. This was done 5 days after I traded in the vehicle.- On 11/8/2023, the dealer obtained a new payoff quote. The quote was for $56,375, which was the exact amount as the quote prior to my $1,064.57 payment.- I spoke with US Bank by phone various times and they told me that no overpayment was due and said that I would not be receiving a return of the check I sent in 5 days after I traded in the vehicle. - The payoff quote given by US Bank did not reflect my $1,064.57 payment and therefore I paid unnecessary money and US Bank obtained an extra $1,064.57 unethically.Business Response

I was sent a pre-approved offer by USBank for applying to a new credit card.my credit history is very good, i always pay on time, and don't have a high revolving balance.they pre-approved me with a credit score of 712 for only $600 I consider this a scam, hitting my credit for that ultra-low amount should not be allowed as a pre-approved offer.they did not want to rectify the situation over the phone I consider this a complete scam just like credit karma did with its preapprovals I have another card with usBank for $2400 limit and zero balance.I have paid all of the payments on time. and have a lengthy credit history.Business Response

I am the victim of Credit theft/ID theft since 2021 and have security freezes and fraud alerts in place for the better part of a year at all main agencies. I have attempted several times to resolve the issue with this bank since 10/05/2023. After opening this account: ************ at US Bank using my valid name since my husband's death in 2014 I received letters with an alias stating 24% backup withholding would begin in 30 days for mismatched name and TIN number combination. The *** and SSD had my valid legal name and SSN combination since 2014. This bank did the following: issued several products with aliases, online suspicious activity attempting to cause overdrafts several times, rigged my debit card for hidden fee deductions at ATM, issued checks with the wrong name, deducted payments from posting balance instead of payment balance and put in hold for merchant causing overdrafts, sold a control agreement from my father ************************ in 2008 of which I was a designated beneficiary, caused negative balance then refused to except payment to cure deficit and close account, continued to harass me with several letters after prior complaints to the BBB and most recently to the **** asking them to stop this bank from contacting me because the money owed is a 30$ dollar forced close account fee and a ***** negative created by US Bank along with Bancorp creating a duplicate account with same negative balances for a fictitious amount of 275$ for reporting and collecting purposes. After request for no contact, I have received 3 different letters via **** about still receiving collection attempts and reporting all to credit agencies. They also mentioned something about 99-R distributions. I have had the same problems with other banks and my royalty company Antero about aliases created with my SSN and being circulated to the credit agencies. All attempts to phone conference resolute unsuccessful. Bank continues to report and harass me endlessly. HELP STOP this bank.JJFWBusiness Response
