******** has been getting some strong winds. Well Xcel decided to shut down "select" neighborhoods of all power. They cut the power 3-4 hrs earlier then what the "bad" winds were supposed to be. They only let people know same day so not enough time to prepare. There email They sent out also said they "may" cut the power in your area. Now still almost a full 24hr with no power and almost no winds. My recently bought groceries gone bad now in my fridge. We have had neighbors call and Xcel just says "too bad" . If you look at the neighborhoods and businesses around us they al have power. Why cut ours. Not fun sleeping in the cold with no heat.

If I could do 1 star, I would. Last bill we received is for almost 5 times our usual usage. They blamed it on estimated meter readings. They did estimated readings November, December. Actual readings for ******** February and March. When I received the March bill, actual readings had been changed for ******* and February! Is this not illegal? I called them 3-28-24 and did not get a positive response. They only offered a payment plan. Asked them to come calibrate the meter and they have not come and said it can take up to 15 business days. Called back and they offered to come read the meter within 5 business days. That was 6 days ago. Messaged their ******** account and did not have any better luck with that. He told me they never change actual meter readings so I sent him pictures of the bills and he did not respond to that. Asked to have someone in authority look over our messed-up account and he has not responded. I have also emailed the ************************** I don't believe what they are doing is legal.

**** electric energy uses kubra pay to take your payment online. Then at the end of the pay it ask for your account number. So if you put it in to make sure the right account gets it. IT DOUBLE PAYS YOUR BILL. BS! NOW WHAT IS MY 90 YEAR OLD MOM GONNA DO TO PAY HER OTHER BILLS CUS XCEL ELECTRIC WON'T GIVE IT BACK BUT IN A CHECK. THAT'LL TAKE FOREVER TO GET HERE. BUT THEY SURE DID TAKE IN A SECOND. BUT WON'T GIVE IT BACK JUST AS QUICK. XCEL ENERGY ***** N SO DOES KUBRA PAY. I WILL NOT USE YOUR APP AGAIN. YOUR PEOPLE ARE WRONG. AND YOU KNOW IT.

I was being billed for the wrong meter for 12 months without my knowledge. Xcel has now charged me $1000 for my usage over the 12 months Ive been here. Would I have know my electricity bill was crazy high for 12 months I wouldve conserved more energy. I should not be paying for there mistake, its absolutely insane they can do this to people and not give a single F.

Worst company to use. Unfortunately most of us dont get a choice. After they wrongfully turned off the power in my apartment cause they put the wrong apartment number down when I moved in a month ago. Theres no urgency to correct their mistake. I use a medical device to sleep and will lose the food in my fridge due to not having extra family in the area since Im new to this city.

Xcel is the rudest unprofessional public, they accuse there customer for messing with a ********************** product when it was made for a ticket to get fix, failure to get someone out here to fix the company product, was taken photos and shut off the lights of a family of four the technician that came out here to the family was being aggressively rude and almost came towards the family in a threatening manners, when calling to get all this situation resolved from billing department from the protected revenue department to there supervisor everyone was being very unprofessional with the customer, it now 30 degrees cold at night I know that this is illegal. We as a customer deserve much more better respect and service and not get faulty accuse and charge for a company equipment that shouldve been fix on there part now, they are even charging us with all this other stuff that costing over ***** dollars plus having a private company to come check for something that shouldve even been check and should of already been fix a long time ago I would like to have sometime to talk to and have this resolved

I was misinformed that my new house had utilities with xcel. When I tried to start utilities at my new house, the system did not give me an error message that my house was not serviced by them, instead it defaulted to the most similar address to mine (same address but different city and zip code). I called customer service to ************** up, and luckily they were able to get the utilities back to how they should be, but instead of the charges going away, they kept doubling. I called again to get the charges cleared up and was told it would be handled. The charges kept going up and then I received an email threatening to send me to collections. I called again and they finally did an extended program to prevent me going to collections. The first and third customer services reps were helpful but the second one was snippy and acted like it was my fault their system didnt give an error message that my residence wasnt serviced by them.

There website never lets me log in. If I try to reset my password I never get sent the link. If I need to pay my bill Im forced to call in and then get charged more for calling. And if I need to call customer service the wait times are ridiculously long. If I ever have a choice to not use them I wont.

This Company is a crooked company! Very bad stealing from poor people! A monopoly only company in ******** to choose from! Does not read meters and estimated huge amounts of electricity that was not used! Then claims they are putting new meters in to ensure accuracy.

I tried to switch to XCEL Energy as my service provider. I thought I was on automated billing but apparently that didn't take. **** failed to notify me and then when I inquired found that is was overdue with a service fee. The phone call Rep sent me to XCEL.COM, MyXCEL.com and myexcelenergy.com none of which took me to my account which I had with them in the past. I called XCEL to try to fix it using a password reset and was told to log in which I did. There was no information on my account but had three menu options none of which pertained to my account. Going to the Phone link to XCEL I was bounced around and when I got to login I used my phone number in the login process. Then to their Menu and I tried to sign up for automated information on my phone and when I entered my phone it said it wasn't valid (twice). I would like to be informed that I have bill needing paid. Finally got the bill paid with 2 penalties. The rep on the phone informed me that automated payment which had to be a mail notice which when paid would take up to 8 days and likely incur a late payment. On the other option it would be drawn from my checking account with no notification of how much was to be drawn which could incur a overdraft at my bank. This is a really poor system where youre bounced around to a a couple of outside services that very poorly interact. This is coming from a software tester of 40 years and companies like ****** R&D, Raytheon satellite systems, ********* and others.
