      I have a sleep apnea machine and my electricity was shut off. I called to see if I could arrange to pay it next week and the representative refused to work with me. I know my doctor needs to submit the paperwork but ******* told me I wouldnt be able to get my electricity turned back on until I pay $955 even with the doctors note.. Ive paid $500 over the month of September and October and its still that much which doesnt make sense. Theyre charging me an extra $250 for nothing on top of my regular service charge. How can I get caught up when the bill just continues to rise with additional fees? I anticipated to pay another $500 next week but they shut off my electricity before I could pay anything. With the prices of literally everything rising its difficult for me as a single mother. Not to mention I have children one with special needs. I just need a little help trying to get caught up and erroneous fees removed.

      Sometime in July 2023 or August 2023 Xcel replaced my gas meter with a new one as part of their new gas meters agenda. Since then, the meter has been sending out wrong data to the passing truck that reads gas meters once a month. It reads high as if it were ******* when my furnace is on. Every time I get a bill I have to call in to Excel and give them the correct meter reading. They then send me another bill reflecting reality. They say their policy is to fix problems within 30 business days but it's past that time now. When I talk to someone for help they tell me the Saint **** ***** is small and they have a lot of other more important emergencies to take care of first. Frankly, I'm fed up with this. What am I supposed to do? Read them the correct meter reading throughout the winter? Why can't these technicians give me a call like any other business so I know when I can expect service? For a company this large to be so dysfunctional is not acceptable.

      Service getting worse & worse. Frequent power outages. Long delays of several hours to return service.The *********** needs to intervene to stop this company exploiting & abusing it's customers.The state needs to stop the monopoly of Xcel Energy & allow its citizens to dump this company & have a different electricity provider.The *********** has a precedent for stepping in in these situations. In 2018, they forced ******* *********** off their healthplans because it was determined more competition was needed in health insurance.Well it is time to create new electricity options.In the meantime Xcel should be disciplined for its long delays in resting power, just like airlines are for lengthy flight delays

      Highly Unreliable Power Service I have been extremely disappointed with the power service this year, experiencing over 8 outages already. This level of inconsistency is not only frustrating but also highly inconvenient. The most troubling aspect is that it doesn't take much for the power to go out; even a stormy day can result in an outage. The lack of prompt response from the service provider is concerning. It leaves us feeling vulnerable and uncertain about the reliability of our power supply. In a world where uninterrupted electricity is essential for everyday life, these frequent outages are unacceptable. I hope the service provider takes these issues seriously and implements measures to improve the reliability of the power service in our area.. *********** is not prompt and we know that a stormy day can result into power outages any day. This is highly unreliable.

      I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, and somehow my bill has been 243 and 199 this summer. That has been less than everybody Ive talked to that OWNS A HOUSE. Yes we have a wall unit and a portable ac, both of which are barely on. Every time you call the customer service line, the operators have bad attitudes. They just tell me that perfectly normal for a 1 bedroom apartment even though friends/family, my apartment manager, the attorney generals office, and the renters attorneys office all day thats very high for a 1 bedroom.Ive been waiting pretty much a month for them to come check my meter, they came out once and couldnt access it and instead of contacting me to say that, they didnt say a thing and I had to call and ask whats going on.Another 2 weeks passed and Im still waiting, so I call again. This is probably the rudest operator I have ever spoke to. When I explained that my sister paid around 60 and my friend in the other building paid 70, she told me theyre both lying. Then when I explained to her that last September, we had our window unit running 24/7, all month, because it barely worked, and that now we barely run either unit, she proceeded to tell me Im also lying. How is an operator going to tell a customer theyre lying? I think I know how much I run my own ac? Im focusing on the ** because thats what they just keep telling me is the issue. This is probably the biggest joke of a company, they are criminals and the stuff they get away with is so unbelievably sad. Just last year I had to get the attorney general involved just to get them to work with my family and get our electricity turned on after having it off for 2 months due to a bill that wasnt even ours.

      My monthly bill jumped from $25-35 a month to almost $300. When I called customer service they claimed my meter wasnt reading correctly and that the bill was an accumulation from incorrect readings starting in Dec 2022. They gave me no notice and now Im stuck paying 12X the bill. They also said they will be installing a new meter in to make sure its reading correctly but Im not sure why thats the customers problem only to send me a large bill with zero explanation.I also live in a small 530 sq ft apartment (for more than 2 years) by myself and my electric bills have always stayed consistent until recently. Overall, Xcel is scamming you out of your money and have very unethical business practices. Please DO NOT use this company!

      I dont even live in the states anymore. I called and cancelled everything and they said I was cleared to go. I now have been charged the last 2 months for home sense. I had to call long distance and be transferred to 3 different people for them to tell me that they will cancel it but they will keep my money for last month and this month too (because they said it was too late to stop it this month). Also, I took off my agreement for auto pay but they still helped themselves to go into my account to charge me for services Im not using.

      Just looked at my bill it was 700 this is absolutely ridiculous should be illegal! Taking honest hard working familys money! We are being over charged and basically stolen from us!

      We signed up for average monthly payments a few years ago. It came to the end of our year where you get money back if you over paid or pay a little more if you underpaid. $592 came out of my account today. I looked at our past bills and for 3 months in a row they only charged us $29. I called and they said it was because they installed a new meter and it took the meter a few months to read correctly. Why is it my fault your meter didnt read correctly? On our statement we were getting billed an appropriate amount but only charged $29. It completely screwed us over. The whole point of the average monthly payment is to avoid getting a shocking bill. This was way worse. **************** said there was nothing they could do for us.
