United Behavioral Health denied some dates of service for a provider used for two years indicating his service was outside of his license. I appealed and they denied again. But they have been approving this same provider for the same service for two years, both before and after! When I called asking how it was possible to get these inconsistent results for the SAME service and provided, they had no answers, would not connect me with a supervisor, and denied my right to be present at the panel review. I also had to spend 3+ hours on the phone with them (call center in ***********) being tossed between various clueless, rude, and unhelpful agents who hung up on me and did not forward me to the feedback survey. I plan to report this illegal action to federal authorities. United Behavioral Health is an embarrassment and a crappy arm of the companysheer incompetence abounds there.UnitedHealth Group

Can I give 0??? No. Fine. The customer service is an abysmal and told me I needed to find a way to lower the cost of the medicine myself by calling the manufacturer. Thats why I pay for insurance. Sorry I have to breathe?! The prices are outrageous. Do yourself a favor and ********************* Healthcare group. They are the absolute worst in coverage. They legit keep telling me my breathing issues with asthma is a simple $350/month prescription. My migraine meds is $1000 for 8 pills! Never ever accept this insurance if you have a different option.UnitedHealth Group

I went to one of their NY facilities where I met with an Orthopedic Surgeon for a forearm injury. I have no issues with the treating physician, or the PT I saw thereafter, but solely with this corporation's billing practice. Specifically, the treating physician asked if I wanted an ultrasound on my forearm, which I responded "sure," as it didn't sound like there was an additional charge outside my health insurance otherwise I imagine someone from this office would've mentioned since they already had my health insurance information. Fast forward a few months later, and I have since received 5 letters regarding a $219.51 charge for this ultrasound. This facility had no approval from me to charge anything other than my copay. I'm about to begrudgingly pay, but I want everyone to note this facility is a scam!!!UnitedHealth Group

1 starOptum RX pharmacy department is requesting the FULL last name of third party callers which is unethical. The *** provided the patients information WITH patient consent to said third party. Terrible plans and false coverage. I was sold on a limited benefits plan without being told it was a limited benefits plan, and had very little almost no coverage for routine annual check *** or vaccines.UnitedHealth Group

I concur with the many others here that this is, at best, a one-star health care company. My complaint is that they advertise special benefits, like the ** card," that are a waste of time because you have to work to get the benefit. You have to sign in here, and there, and there, with passwords and whatnot, just to get the information that you are entitled to. I have received at least five different credit or debit cards with a claimed credit on them, and none of them ever worked, I can't tell what's on them, and the most recent one, I can't use it where I shop online. I thought they said it works at doctors' offices but it doesn't. Then there's the $50 every 3 months you are supposed to get for *** stuff. But the website for it changes every year. First it was some company, then *******, now ******....It seems like every time I sign on my password no longer works and I have to find the new website. It's always out-of-stock on the stuff I want, but if you don't spend your $50 in the 3-month period, it's gone. If you forget, it's also gone. They changed their transportation benefit in a way that hurts my care. Perhaps this OTC stuff is a ******** problem, not United, but United does nothing to make things simpler for the patient. The customer service people are oh-so-nice, but they are not running the company. I don't know if there are better companies out there, but I'll be looking for one this next sign-up period.UnitedHealth Group

OptumRx is terrible.The pharmacy's this company partners with (CVS and Fransiscan outpatient) will not fill prescriptions in a timely manner and do not follow the doctors orders on the prescriptions. This company has caused numerous difficulties through the past 2 decades that I have dealt with them. Mail order prescriptions have been found on the side of the road beneath the mailbox, medications have been miscounted and some prescriptions missing entirely. I have called dozens of times for help in these matters, to no avail. Often I just go to the phamacy I choose to go to and pay out of pocket. One time, about 5 years ago, I was able to get an override to go to see the pharmacist I prefer. I recently requested to do this again, and was told that it is not possible to go anywhere other than the pharmacies that don't follow doctors orders, or cannot (it's actually, will not) take care of refills in a timely manner.This Company should be investigated for their unethical practices, false representation of benefits, and blatant fraud.UnitedHealth Group

United health care is the worst insurance I have ever dealt with. I had Humana last year and thought I would try United this year. What a huge Mistake !! They don't pay half as much as Humana. When they determine what they will cover it is left up to a person with absolutely no medical experience . In most cases they have higher co-pays or won't cover it at all. United is all about money and could care less about the people they represent.UnitedHealth Group

1 starNormally I receive my bills in the mail, except the last time I never received one which I figured was strange but thought it was just late on getting sent. Come to find out they somehow lost my apartment number and were sending it to the wrong address, then sent me to collections without me ever knowing anything about it. Never tried to call me or send me a message through the portal.
