United healthcare has told me numerous times through app or me literally calling them and asking if I would be able to use my plan to go to certain doctors. 3/3 times I have visited the doctor with my United healthcare plan after checking it would be covered they denied me coverage and I was stuck with expensive bills. I have spoken to several supervisors only to be told later on calls that I had never spoken with a supervisor. They have gaslit me at every turn to deny me benefits as agreed on in my healthcare coverage. This company is incompetent at paying for their consumers. I am cancelling my coverage prematurely because of the corporate greed and denial of coverages that are listed on my policy. There needs to be a class action law suit for the billions of dollars they have not paid out in coverage to families and individuals who have been held responsible after being lied to by United Healthcare. Would 0/10 absolutely never recommend to a friend and will never be returning even if it is offered by an employer.UnitedHealth Group

I was lied to when signing up and told that my coverage would have an out of pocket maximum. It wasn't until I had a health incident and started getting statements explaining coverage that I realized that my plan only covers a small payment per visit. Nothing like what the sales rep told me on the phone. I feel like an idiot for not verifying the information. Now we are outside of the enrollment period for ACA and am unable to get proper coverage for me and my family. It's such a scam and outright criminal to lie to people about their plan coverage. I have no idea how this operation still exists or how United Health Care supports this. I'm canceling as soon as possible and will never give another dime to United Health Care.UnitedHealth Group

I pay an incredible amount a year for PPO insurance with UMR. As previous reviews have stated, they pay very little to nothing. You have to jump through hoops to get your claims processed. The amount of stress they put you through trying to get what you pay for actually creates more health problems. Do yourself a favor and find a provider that cares. I am so unhappy with United Health Care. They have more excuses than ******** has little pills. I hate the virtual assistant. Takes forever to get through to a live person and most do not speak very good English. They either don't understand what your asking or can't answer you. I am so sick of hearing, Do to plan changes you have to apply for special authorization for that medicine. I have been on it for over 10 years, what a crock of ........ I will be going back to humana, tired of UHC c*** They get a NEGATIVE the whole way around.UnitedHealth Group

I have to say without a doubt United healthcare is the worst insurance. They have gone from having your back to greedy, corrupt, and price gouging their customers instead of covering the important things you need when you need them which is why you choose their insurance company in the first place . I'm Disabled and on Social Security Disability and Have a Autoimmune Neuromuscular Disease and Spinal issues and need an important CT done and instead of covering it like an insurance is supposed to do they wanted to profit off Me instead of the tune of $250 which mind you I barely make enough to survive which includes barely keeping a roof over My head and they have gotten greedy and look to profit off Me with what little money I have left instead of doing what we get insurance in the first place to protect us tisk tisk. Going with Unitedhealthcare was the biggest mistake I have ever made with health insurance they have become greedy and are self serving they care only for themselves and not serve the customers interest or care about their well-beings as they claim and will be talking to My health insurance broker to find a insurance that actually has My interest and protection at heart which is why you choose them in the first place, instead of profiting off of Me Shirking their responsibilities and only see Me as a dollar sign . Does not take care of customer complaints. I was overcharge $75 for my medication in May 2024. This is the end of July and I am still waiting for a refund. I am told they will send it to the accounting department. I will have a refund in 3-5 business days. I am still waiting for the refund. I am filing a complaint.UnitedHealth Group

I am 35 year old female who has had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis since 2013. I am currently going through a difficult time with this insurance we have had for over 12 years because they denied a much needed surgery. I have had a cyst lesion in my T1-T2 spine that affects my walking and causes me pain in all areas of my body (that was misdiagnosed for over 10 years as a "lesion"). I am losing function as time moves forward. I was scheduled for a SPINE, CERVICAL, POSTERIOR APPROACH, WITH LAMINECTOMY and they denied my surgery so I now have to wait longer to move forward with my life because they are greedy and said they didnt have enough information. I have 2 young daughters, man of God husband, and also a dad with cancer whom we are the caretakers of... this is alot on our plate. It's not about money, it's about my life and this is so upsetting.UnitedHealth Group

If I could give 0 stars I would. Optum RX is TERRIBLE TO WORK WITH. Medication delays, lack of communication, incompetent customer service. I've been without my medication several times because of this terrible company. Worst part - United Health Care requires me to get my medication through them. United Healthcare over promises and under deliveres. They indicate hospitals and specialists are in network on both their website and their app. But totally different when you contact the healthcare provider. The customer service advocates have no ability escalate the issue. They do not know if a provider is in network either and cannot report to fix the issue.UnitedHealth Group
