      Not sure what they are smoking in this company, but they do not update either promptly, semi-promptly or AT ALL (very likely) credit reporting agencies on balances owed.Logging into my bank account this morning, I was surprised to find that not only my credit score had a super significant drop, but it was finally updated to reflect Mohela as a creditor (it used to be federal student loans or something along those lines), however, with balances from over a year ago. Not the 1st time i've ran into something related to finance with this company

      I have requested a financial history 4x and received none. This delays my employer reimbursing me for the payments I have made. I am lucky my company has delayed their due date otherwise I would be out $10,000 all because MOHELA can not correctly send financial histories. I have spent hours in the last 2 months and each rep says the same thing "I'm going to submit this the RIGHT way for you" each of them have said that, none of them have made it to me. You used to just be able to print financial history statements, now they are only available by mail. When I needed to make a payment, you bet they could help me. Anything else? Complete incompetence.

      Long wait times. Cant answer what I consider very reasonable questions and inquiries when it comes to asking about my loans. Terrible. I may refinance and pay a substantially higher interest rate just to not deal with their company. Such bull s*** you just get assigned a loan servicer without any choice and based on my research mohela is far and away the worst one. Truly hot garbage.

      MOHELA is incapable of applying payments to borrowers accounts. I've made four payments since December 2023, and none have been applied to my student loans. My loans are continuously compounding interest on an amount that should be lowered. This is the WORST company the federal government could have chosen to manage repayments. Spending countless hours on the phone with representatives and sending messages back and forth with both avenues stating to give it any where from ***** days for payments to be applied. The given timeframe comes and goes with no resolution. Absolutely insane!

      DO. NOT. USE. MOHELA. My problem is that my school loan provider (Mohela) is not handling my account properly. I have paid several times since 3.13.24 and these payments are not showing up on my online account. I do not have confidence in this provider and I am not getting a clear answer for resolution. They said the payments will take 90 days to show on my account and my ******* is over 90 days and still not visible on my account. Two of my loans that I have cleared are still gaining interest because of their mistake. This is also impacting my credit score. I want to make a 10-thousand-dollar payment to settle the rest of my loans and I cannot rely on this company with my money. I have tried to contact them several times about this and have received different responses. They switched to a new website and since then it has been a disaster. They cannot access the old website to see my past payments and no payments are appearing on my current account. I have documented everything with confirmation numbers and dates. A total of ******** had been made for two loans and that is the payoff amount. In which Mohela still has not corrected on my online account and cannot find my payment I made on 3.13. I am so tired of them taking money but not treating their customers properly. They need to be shut down. Do not trust them with your money.

      Company is terrible. They are theives, who in this country can withdraw money out of someone acct and not give them credit for a payment, hold the payment for 90 plus days without any info about its whereabouts. Payment is not in bank and its not applied to your debt and no one can help when calling them. Robbers!!

      My loans were transferred to Mohela, but I cannot login, the platform doesn't recognize my social security or my account number, and emails go unanswered. I've called three times but the wait times are so long I have to keep hanging up because I have a busy JOB to pay for the ridiculous interest on my loans. Absolutely disgusting of the government to put a generation of people who are already locked out of the basics of society (decent wages, ability to save, buy a home...) at the whims of Mohela.

      Their INCOMPETENCE IS SICKENING. They lost my loan payment due to the restructuring of their computer system and I was told it would take up to 90 DAYS to solve. WHAT? Putting the clients on excessive phone hold times is a common practice in this company, this happens to me almost every time I have to call. They always have to put me on hold and is always for over 20 minutes (THIS IS AN ABUSIVE TREATMENT TO THE CLIENT. I have to call several times over the same issue. They give you No recourse or confirmation of your phone call. I'm at the mercy of the phone operator HOPING they will do their job. I certainly can't trust this company to handle my loan.

      I left active duty military in December of 2023 and I received a 100% permanent and total discharge for the VA based on medical issues I incurred while in service. I went to the appropriate website disabilitydischarge.com and filled out my application for student loan forgiveness and was approved in February on 2024. I then submitted all necessary documentation showing that my student loans were approved for the discharge. It is now mid June and the balance of my student loans has only increased due to interest being applied even month. I spoke with multiple representatives from Mohela and some reps act like they are unable to see the documentation and others say that they can see it but it's just still in the middle of being processed. I just don't understand why it is taking Mohela going on 6 months to process this action when other service members with other loan servicing companies had everything completed within 45 days. Now I'm being told that Mohela can't answer any questions about my account because it is being moved somewhere else within the company. I feel like Mohela is purposefully dragging their feet on discharging my student loans. They have zero reason to do this. I have taken all the necessary steps for this to be completed. I even spoke with representatives from Telnet and they told me that they don't understand why my loans have not been waived. It must be Mohela's company that is causing the delay. I just want this company to be held accountable for what they are doing to Vets and anyone else who is fighting this company. This is not right. I made all my payments on time over the years and now I have to wait longer without any explanation. This should be unacceptable. If I could leave a negative rating I would.

      This is the most inept company in the United States. They should go directly to jail: do not pass go and do not collect $200. Why they were chosen to handle PLSF is a mystery that can only be explained by the US government hoping MOHELA messes it up so bad that nobody gets their loans forgiven
