      Of course they're garbage. They do nothing. They don't answer the phone. They don't explain anything. It should be a crime that the federal gov't hired them to do anything.

      So so bad. I'm in the process of refinancing with another lender. All the customer service agents give different answers for the same questions. I can't get through to a supervisor. The majority or all of my payments ($345!!!) are going to interest, which doesn't make sense. I asked them to put a large payment towards my unsubsidized loan and they split it any way and when I called asked for them to correct it...3 times....it still hasn't been done correctly!!!!! This is by far the work loan company I have ever dealt with and I feel like I'm getting robbed. Do not finance with them!

      This loan servicer is unhelpful, unequipped to help loan borrowers, and continues to change the platform and account information. I have expired nothing but frustration with the online portal and when attempting to speak to a representative. It's absolutely infuriating to work with this company. The software is inadequate, and does not update in a reasonable timeframe. Even after making a payment, it's still marked past due, and it attempts to collect funds that are not yet due. I can't get help with my issue, because they won't help me until I've made a payment, even though I ALREADY MADE A PAYMENT. Some poor customer service person can't get accurate information and is therefore unable to help me. It's awful for everyone, except the company leadership which I hope doesn't sleep at night for the way they treat people.

      I would give 0 stars if I could. I have had to call and wait on hold for hours 5 times just in the last 2 months. All because they overcharged my income-based payment in March. I never get the same answer twice from an employee, they are sorely under-trained. I am more knowledgeable about PSLF standards than their employees, and you need to be in order to fight for your rights. They never send letters or emails documenting the interaction, even when requested and confirmed by the employee. They don't seem to note anything in their records either. I have taken to recording our calls, and if you are forced to work with them like I am, I suggest you do the same.

      I do not understand how the government would entrust MOHELA with students loans. The company seems to be unable or incapable of collecting the money for which it has been entrusted in a manner in which it can provide accountability. I have made my payments on time each month but yet I am being told that I am behind by 2 months. Is anyone in the education department overseeing this organization? I have not been able to get an accurate account of payments made. The excuse is that there is a lag between the old and new platforms. What should my next steps be?

      I would give this company zero stars if I could. Someone has fraudulently taken out a student loan in my name. Mohela has made it impossible for people like me to contact them. I cant get through to talk to an actual person without the account information that I dont have since I didnt take out the loan. I cant even email anyone. I cant find a fraud department to talk to. My life could be destroyed by this company that has left people like myself with no way to handle this. Something is foul with a company that avoids accountability.

      I have had several loan servicers over the years, some good some not so good, but MOHELA is undoubtedly the worst. MOHELA clearly has no idea what they are doing and are ill-equipped to handle the loan volume they have took on. It is an absolutely shame the Federal govt has not moved federal loans out of this backwards state. 1 star is too high. MOHELA MUST BE SHUT DOWN.

      ZERO STARS!!!!!!! AWFUL SERVICE AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ********************** knocked my credit score 200 points for "trying to contact me". I have never missed a payment. Their only reason for contacting me was to tell me about this "transition". 200 POINTS OFF MY CREDIT SCORE TO TELL ME YOU'RE TRANSITIONING?! I'd pay the rest of my loan off in full just to be done dealing with this crummy loan service company, but I know that won't benefit my credit score. This is the second time in 5 years that this company has made a "transition" and screwed over it's clients.

      It's cute that the master's in business I just spoke to thinks all loans accrue daily compounded interest like student loans do, and that the daily amount isn't based off the entire principal loan balance. My loans would have been long paid if the interest structure were like other loans (car,home, credit cards), and Mohela, all student loan borrowers, the government, and every loan officer you ask know this. If my interest were only a couple of hundred dollars a month. Hilarious. I do like her optimism, though, declaring things so in the future, knowing full well the government changes its mind regarding student loans every single day and my loan will transfer to some other inept company to mishandle. The good news is my loans would be $0 with interest that operates like a car or home loan! Great news. I wish it were true, ******************. I wish it were true. Why do all of your staff say different things when I call? Get on the same page or stop answering questions.

      I have not receive a notice they they switched to a new online platform to re-register my account. Then I was locked out of my account and had to call back several times and kept getting disconnected when they put me on hold. Maybe there was something wrong with there internal systems, but from the other reviews I see this is just unexceptable!
