      They are absolutely terrible. Hour + long wait times and then when you finally get them on the phone, they give out wrong and contradictory information. I have to call them about once a week and they keep telling me that it's all resolved but then of course when I check the system, my requests are not resolved at all. Someone truly needs to do something about these people because they are incompetent and are messing with people's money and credit!

      Are they stupid or just stupid? My brother passed away in 2022. We informed them he was deceased, provided them with a copy of his death certificate. But they continue to bill him. Called them back and told them we sent them a death certificate, which they say they never received. So they will continue to bill him. Good luck to Mohela getting any money from someone who is no longer alive. Just sad they dont know what theyre doing. We gave them what they needed to close the account but they dont seem to want to listen or act accordingly.

      MOHELA sent me my first statement for a payment due in October of approximately $740. I contacted them by phone asking to simply change my due date. Not only did they change my due date they now say I owe approximately $900 a month. I have written, by certified mail and in my portal countless times and yet they will not correct my account. I have no issue repaying my loan but the correct amount is $740. AND when you go to pay, as I still have been, when i put $740 it makes me sign an acknowledgement that I am paying less than I owe WHICH IS FALSE! I am simply looking for someone to fix my account. I have called several times and have waited over an hour each time just to be told I need to be transferred to someone with another hour wait time. HELP!

      Getting timely information from this business is impossible! EVERYTIME I call, I receive inaccurate information that results in my having to call back. Today, I have been on the phone for over 2 hours; a majority of it (1 5 hours) has been spent with my being on hold. My situation is in reference to just verifying when my Paid In Full status would be reported to the Credit Bureaus and I've been waiting to speak with a "credit supervisor" all of this time. Unacceptable! If my loans were defaulted or in arrears, they wouldn't have any issue reporting that to the credit bureau. Again, this is unacceptable.

      I have made over 13 phone calls in the last three months. They always have staff in training, who don't have the understanding to help you with your problems. My last seven phone calls is to complete my payment certification for loan forgiveness. I have already made the payment but none of their staff seem to know to complete my four certifications in 2015. They have certified everything before and after that. When you speak to their staff, they all acknowledge the gap but don't seem to resolve the issue. I was on 53 minutes on and off hold today, where ******* needed to reach two supervisors, no resolution. I finally gave up and decided to write my review. They should be making it this difficult for students have met the requirements to be forgiven. Not sure where I should go next. I believe they were penalized by the federal government recently about notification issue to loan holders.

      My name is *************************..Mohela has fraudulent changed all of my student loans, keep placing me on pending for the SAVE repayment plan, and switching up all of my documents, along with doubling my interest rate due to no payment and then a high $151.00 monthly payment... I've completed three SAVE repayment applications in the year of 2023, was approve once w/ no monthly payment and faxed over my W-2 w/ my HIPPA confidential information by law, deleted all of that, with sending me a payment around 2:35 a.m. in the morning with proof....They are scammers, very not trustworthy, liars to hardworking students, and unsafe with personal documents...The government should have kept Cornerstone....My documents went from Cornerstone to Nelnet, and now Mohela....This company have wrongfully, mishandle all of my student loans.... Please treat my student acct with forgiveness! It was to $0.00 then one morning I owe again after my account was forgiven with $0.00...Then consolidate some of them, but ended up with mishandling my account.... Please allow for Justice to be serve upon Mohela! This company needs to go away....Their wrong doers

      When you call to pay the interest on your loan so they don't capitalize it thereby enslaving you a little bit more day-by-day and the agent tells you, "Oh no, don't pay the interest! You are on the SAVE plan. The interest will be forgiven," - PAY THE INTEREST. They will tell you that your principal has not increased because they are looking at it in their system. Go to your credit report and you will see that the principal has indeed increased the same amount that they told you NOT to pay. After you look at your credit report, go look at your account in studentaid.gov and you will see that the interest was added to your principal on that site as well. Mohela, my student loan servicer, is the only one whose system isn't reflecting the interest added to the principal, BUT they are the very same ones who report it to the credit bureaus. Send them a Message on their very own website - they will send you a message back telling you to call them.Call them - they will give you misinformation as if you're not looking at your credit report with a new principal amount due to unpaid interest that THEY TOLD YOU NOT TO PAY! After they gaslight you, they will then proceed to pass you along to other agents so they can all get a piece. "****** (badge #**** - I'm going to connect you to the credit reporting department." Then you are stuck on hold from 9:15 to 10:05 a.m. Hang up. Call back. Hold for 20 minutes and ****, who is in training, picks up. Hang up. Call back. Hold for 9 minutes. ******* (ext. ****) puts you on hold for 10 minutes while she does "research" then comes back to say that I've been approved to be transferred to a Supervisor. 4 min hold. Robot: a Supervisor will call back at some strange number that doesn't belong to me with no prompts to change the number they are to call me back on (the games they play). For those reading, push #2; it will ask for the number you want them to call you back on. Good luck. They aren't trying to service customers. 0 stars!

      I was on hold for an hour and ended up disconnecting the call. I have been making payments but keeping getting letter that the loan status is past due. I don't know another way to speak with a representative.

      Out of the several loan servicers the government has put federal student loans through over the years, this one is the absolute worst. It is impossible to speak to anyone. You have to sit through 4 minutes of an automated system, before you can get put through to be told you can wait on hold for 40 to up to 180 minutes, or wait for a call back. If you choose the call back option, you are lucky if this company calls you back. Messages sent through the portal are not replied to. Both myself and my friends have had calls go unreturned. On top of this, they screwed up the payments resuming. I made payments in October and November 2023, and received an email from MOHELA 12/31/23 that if we paid between September and December we would have it applied to future payments. The person I spoke to on the phone did not know any information on this, and had to put me on hold to clarify. This company does not appear to even communicate to their own employees. I eventually was told she could manually apply the two payments for ******* + February, and clarified for my friends that they would have to call to request this. The email says differently. This takes up to 10 business days to process, and my payment for this month is due in 6 days. So I now get to wait for this to get applied & get back credited. I was fortunate to be off of work today and have the time to wait on hold and spend 55 minutes on the phone when they called me back. These loans need to be given to another servicer that knows its head from it a** All of my friends have had the same issues. In the interim, the loans should be put back in forbearance until they can get their issues straightened out.
