      I'd made numerous attempts at contacting MOHELA by phone (unsuccessfully), waiting more than 64 minutes with no help. Five secure message attempts were sent through the MOHELA website over the course of a month beginning September 19th and most recently yesterday (Ocotber 19th), There have been no responses from MOHELA to ANY of these, even though their website says to expect a response withing 3 business days. While I understand that MOHELA might be experiencing a high call volume, this can hardly have been unexpected with everyone's repayments beginning once again this month. They've also incorrectly calculated by repayment amount, which is showing as more than double what I actually am supposed to pay. My repayment amount is confirmed by StudentAid.gov, and I'd been trying to get this corrected through MOHELA for the past month, which is the reason for contacting them. I'm giving up any further attempts at contacting MOHELA at this point, and I'm just sending the payment that I think should be made rather than what their statement says. Unfortunately, this was the message on my payment page, "By selecting a payment amount that does not satisfy the total amount due, your account *** become past due. We *** report information about your account to nationwide consumer reporting agencies." If I'm making honest and numerous attempts to contact MOHELA, with no absolutely no responses made on their end for the past month, then is this reasonably fair? No reporting of any information on anyone should be done this month, since MOHELA is clearly overwhelmed and/or cannot provide basic customer service or reasonable response turn-around times with payments resuming this month.

      Horrible loan company! I was transferred when I applied for PSLF. I submitted my last documentation for PSLF 8/2/23 (120 payments), as of today (10+ weeks later) they still have not processed it. I sent an email which was supposed to take 3 business days to get back to me, they sent me back a generic response 3 weeks later saying that they would process my loan paper with in 45 days (this was 6 weeks into my paperwork being submitted). YET, they are on time for taking money for loan.

      My loan payment was calculated for $109 per month, and out of no where was changed to $247 per month without my application for that amount. My *********** site still reflects the $109 per month due as well. When calling, I was on hold for over 3 hours before talking to someone, who ultimately had to escalate since she was unable to determine why. I was on hold for an additional 2.5 hours for someone to say they will process for the correct amount and expect this to change within 10 business days, before payment is due. Now they have sent me correspondence that my request is delayed up to 90 business days and the $247 is still due. I am 3 days away from the due date and no one will contact me to resolve this error they have made. I cannot make the new payment and in order to even make the other payment.. I cannot afford to miss work while on hold for over 5 hours for Someone to not be able to assist. I would give negative stars if I was able to

      Called and was told 11 min wait time, I hung on thinking "that's not too bad". I'm now at 53:49 and NO ONE is picking up and I doubt they will. I NEVER had this problem with myfedloans.gov! They were so good to work with. Mohela is the worst company I've ever dealt with.

      This company is a joke. *** tried calling to get a hold of someone for 5 separate days. Im currently still trying and Ive been on hold for 45 mins with no updated wait time hence I called as soon as they opened at 7am ct. its impossible to get in touch with anyone to resolve any issues. They want me to pay close to $700 which I cant afford and Ive yet to speak with anyone to get a lower payment. Each time Ive called the wait time has *** ******* min wait time. This is the worst customer service experience Ive ever experienced!

      I misunderstand the way the lender calculates the interest applied to my student. I have a fixed interest, which is *****%. The interest supposes to be down on a monthly basis, which is not. I attempt to call the lender many times for explanation; unfortunately, they can not provide me any convincible details. Every time, I did call they kept me on hold for so long probably searching for information but without clear details. That is the reason, I contact BBB for help.

      Mohela does a very poor job at handling the public student loan forgiveness. Their representatives are clueless and cant answer questions. I have been on hold for over an hour, just to not have my question answered. I think the **** should be given to a different loan contractor that will do a better job at handling our student loans.

      They put me on hold for fifty-three minutes, which is the nastiest that any customer service center has ever treated me.

      They wanted $2777 for my payment. I filled out an IDR plan, which brought it down to $450, which was still too much; they reassessed it to $353, which was manageable. Now my account says I owe $635; I called and waited for 1 hr to have them send in a reassessment that was supposed to take 10 days. I received a letter that it will now take up to 90 days to review the new IDR plan. So, I called again and was supposed to get a call back in 62 mins. I never got a call back about waiting for an additional 40 mins past the 62-minute call-back time. Then I missed the call because I had to go to lunch; not only did I have to wait 62 mins for the callback, I also had to wait for an additional 40. Now I have to wait for over 109 mins. It is not our fault that MOHELA did not prepare for the student loan payments to resume. They are unorganized, have no idea what they are doing, the customer reps are not properly trained, mislead consumers, and are impossible to get a hold of. I wish I could give them no stars because they don't deserve one star.

      Zero stars would be more appropriate. Wish I had an option to do business with a different company.Changes have been made to account with no explanation. I have been attempting to clarify a billing issue and have been waiting on hold since 430 PM CST. It is currently 700PM CST. After business hours and still no answer. No option for a callback, no estimated wait time updates, just complete silence (aside from music).This seems to amount to negligence.
