I've been on the phone after three hours of wait time to get ahold of a life customer service representative and finally spoke with ******** who was in training she stated as she was going through my account I told her my account does not occur due to the count is off, I've been making payments since 2014, She apologized and stated they are still inputting the number of payments since from 2010. I mentioned to her I would qualify for the **** because you are off my numbers of payments- IN fact including the payments I've been making through COVID, etc. I never stopped making payments etc. She mention they are still inputting all the data from 2014. ON Of course, her line went into static mode, more likely put me on hold and then hung up on me. FYI: This was the second call to them after the first call I waited for **** hours and never got through to a life agent the first time. I want and need my account up to date so I can apply for my ****. This is hurting me on my end due to lack of ... whatever you want to call it. Why should we suffer for the issues taking place on their end?

This government student loan agency screws over students trying to pay back their student loans. You cannot speak to a human, when speaking to their online automated service it wont accept your correct phone number or social security, making it impossible to speak to anyone. Students are at their mercy because it is a government agency, you pay what they say whether its a correct balance, if you dont they ruin your credit and deduct from your wages. Any person applying for a government student loan....BEWARE, because it will ruin your life.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! The epitome of "lowest government bidder"! Nonresponsive to messages. Fortget it if you are trying to contact by phone, wait times are ridiculous and once answered the person on the other end of the phone is no help at all. Send letters with improper information. Just terrible

Never in my life have I dealt with such incompetence. The wait time to speak with a representative can reach upwards of two hours (from my experience), once you are connected to an actual person, they are unprepared to answer questions or provide explanations. Over the past three business days I have spent close to four hours on hold, only to be "disconnected" within minutes of getting a live body on the phone. It appears disconnecting with the consumer is Mohela's solution to difficult questions. The amount of time and effort required to deal with Mohela's business practices is unacceptable and should be addressed immediately. How many personal hours should someone be forced to forfeit, only to be given contradictory information with each phone call? Unfortunately, I'm just one of many dissatisfied with the level of service offered, and it doesn't appear as if Mohela is working on ways to rectify the situation.

After being told that my payment for the year would be $0 and I would not need to re-qualify with my current income until ****, a monthly payment of $442 popped up on my account and was withdrawn from my bank account automatically. I had qualified for a mortgage loan based on the $0 monthly payment, and while in the middle of closing on the house, I no longer qualified unless I came up with a large sum of additional money at closing, which I did not have. I was on the phone almost daily with Mohela for 3 weeks trying to resolve the issue, being told that what happened with my payment amount was a mistake, and that my payment should, in fact, be $0 for the year. **************** being rude and unhelpful in the 10 times I called, On 4 occasions I stayed on the phone for hours waiting to speak to a supervisor. Each time, the supervisor would see a mistake was made, and when I said I have to have this resolved by X date or I cannot buy a house, I was told they had "expedited" my request to have the issue fixed, and that it would be done by X days. The time would pass, I would call again, and they would say, sorry, there's nothing we can do. Finally, the day before closing, customer service told me the error would be processed within 2 MONTHS. After waiting for hours to once again speak to a manager, I finally got a very nice one on the phone who saw the problem clearly, wrote an email to upper management explaining the situation that she read back to me and sent while I was on the phone, explaining that I needed the issue resolved by the following day in order to close on a mortgage loan for a home, and to please process the request to have the error fixed for me right away, and...nothing. 3 days later, and still nothing has been done. I had to scramble to call relatives to see if anyone could immediately loan me the additional cash I now needed so I would not lose the house. It has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life.

HORRIBLE TO CONTACT. My online account is locked., Cannot reset online or over the phone. I have called more than 80 times over a 4 day span and unable to get in contact with a live person. Selected every option to try to contact a live person after I selected reset password option more than 50 of the times I have called. Phone just hangs up. The reset password email I receive from "Mohela" takes me to a link that says I cannot access online info because it is not a secure link. HORRIBLE to get in contact with!

You call them you wait online for a while to speak to someone. The introduction message is about 10 minutes long and it takes too many prompts to get to someone. Then the call is disconnected and they never call you back horrible customer service.

TERRIBLE experience trying to resolve my loan! 4 attempts to get answers. Every time I tried to get information, it was different. They had to put in a ticket to get updated billing information regarding my loan. I was told to keep calling back but then on HOLD forever and kept getting bounced around Still waiting

I have had nothing but a terrible experience trying to resolve my student loan balance. After 3 separate phone calls, 5+ hours of sitting on the phone waiting for someone, I am no closer to resolving my issues. I paid off my balance in full using the payoff option, and after processing, they are claiming I still have an outstanding balance that equates to the interest that I paid. They refuse to provide me a ledger for review, the website provides no historical breakdown of balances, and no one will allow me to escalate this. This feels like extortion and explains why companies like this are profitable. They force you to double pay your balances at the end of the barrel of a gun. Serious reform needs to occur, and I hope that a class action lawsuit develops as I cannot be the only person who is getting extorted.

I just received a communication from Mohela about resuming my payments. NOTHING was addressed about the underhanded manner in which I was made to change to Mohela as a servicer due to student loan relief efforts. NOTHING was said in apology about what the Supreme Court did with their case. The morale cultivated was - ****. What word could one use for my feelings about MOHELA.
