      Mohela is an extremely convoluted and incompetent student loan servicing organization! I worked in the non-profit space for 16 years and, after two years of going back and forth with Mohela, spending untold hours on hold listening to nerve rattling "music" that set my teeth on edge and then needing to explain my story over and over again to different representatives with no conclusive results, the result is that I still don't "qualify" for loan forgiveness (this after I was reassured by several reps that they were just backed up and it seemed that everything would go through.) The final determination was that periods of forbearance or deferment can't be counted toward my qualifying payments, which is in direct contrast to what I was told at the beginning of this process. Had they said this up front, I never would have wasted my valuable time and put up with the extreme aggravation dealing with this organization. Since it's part of ************ Services, I know that nothing will be accomplished by this complaint, but I just wanted to express my disappointment and to let others know about my experience. I know most of us don't have a choice but, if at all possible, stay away from ************s! The worst part is that there is really no way to contact them by phone. The "secure emails" are all pre-fabricated topics and, if one's particular situation does not fit, you aren't able to save time by sending a real message. Of course, everything is designed to buy time for an incredibly overworked staff who have no real chance of making determinations by the "promised" 90 days. What a farce this whole program is!

      My loans were transferred to Mohela, as part of the ***** You cannot contact anyone at the company, and you cannot lo into your account. When trying to log inn, it indicates the combination doesn't match their records. You can change your password and try and log in again it gives the same error, then locks you out of your account. When you call to have them unlock, it's automated, and then says your account can't be unlocked or the system disconnects. How is anyone supposed to stay on top of their loans when they can't even log into the system??!! This is the absolute worst company and we as borrowers are forced to use them.

      Mohela raised my payment amount on a fixed interest loan after claiming they miscalculated beginning interest, even though their letter said I overpaid interest! Despite that, my amount due was increased. How is this legal?

      I wish I could give them zero stars. The fact the Feds force you to consolidate with them to take advantage of certain programs is borderline criminal. The level of incompetence would be no different if they just allowed people to walk in off the street and start handling calls with no training. Every time I call with a question - I get a different answer. I have heard everything from you didnt submit an application to youll be getting a refund, to you already got your refund, to you cant get a refund because you consolidated your loans, to every other possible answer imaginable. This company should be shut down and not be allowed to handle any loans let alone entrusted to handle a huge portfolio of federally consolidated loans that are designated to certain loan programs.

      I have been trying to complete my **** process with them simce July and it is very difficult to get in contact with Mohela and when I do I get contradicting information from precious calls a day letters they send. I have been told i need to send updated information then they reject the form saying its already on file. I was recently sent a letter saying my employment has been certified yet over the phone they tell me its not all complete although the information they say they need is in the forms they reject. They also say they need information from FSA and FSA states that Mohela is the holder of the information. They seem to be intentionally dragging out the **** process and won't tell me what's actually needed to finalize my application or how long I can expect the process to take.

      Very Upset. Loans were transfer to MOHELA in October 2022. I have been in the **** for over 5 years with FEDLOANS. Never did I have problems with FEDLOANS. With MOHELA, they admit that they have made errors with my Employment verifications forms and yet they claim they do not know how and who to fix it. I have called MOHELA multiple times and talked to various managers yet no one knows how to fix their errors and get my account current. In addition, you have to wait over 5 hours for someone to answer your call placed on hold. Once I do get a hold of a manager, all they say is give ** 2 weeks to fix the error. Well, I have been on this since January 1, 2022 and I am still looking for MOHELA to fix their errors.

      Mohela is grossly incompetent and grossly negligent when it comes to working with their clients. For months now I've trying to get out of deferment to stay on track with my PSLF progress, and for months Mohela, almost blatantly has dodged my requests, and now has thrown me off track with my PSLF progress. And after calling for a resolution I've been placed on hold, and at this point it's starting to feel deliberate in attempts to dodge answering and owning up to their lack of action. Due to their less than due diligent, I'm now being penalized because they can't seem to follow through and process requests in a timely fashion or at all. I also get conflicting information regularly. Before Mohela I never had lack of trust in in my PSLF process or that requests got done, now I don't trust a single email, notification, or response that comes from Mohela.
