      Absolutely disgraceful and horrible company. We have collectively had the same experience with them as borrowers, and it appears they have zero accountability for their actions. What are you doing about it, BBB? I could go on and on about the hours of my life stolen trying to reach someone only to find out nobody knows anything over there. They have owed me money for months and failed to even correctly do the paperwork to get it to me despite telling me repeatedly it was being processed. They never actually call you back, they do not have any information when you call. How are they still in business!?

      I've been trying to reach them for months. I sent emails and messages for a call back which I've never received. There must be someone over them that we can file a complaint with. My next step is a lawyer. I'm sick of it. What really me makes me mad is that I was just transferred to them without anyone even asking me. We should have been given options as to who we would want our loans with!! I don't even want to give them one star but again no choice...

      It is so hard to get through to customer service with **********************. I regret having them service my student loans and wish it was with another loan servicer. I have never had this issue before with other student loan servicers. I have been trying to get through to MOHELA for questions regarding what other documentation is needed to fulfill my deferrment and I cant get to speak with anybody. It tells me I have to wait 45 min and when I do it just hangs up. This is dreadful having to deal with these people. Something should be done about this, especially if they want their payments.

      Terrible excuse of a company. We've been *********** payments on student loans to get them gone. My first lump sum payment made to Mohela came out on 11/25, as of 12/12, it still isnt reflected on my account. Tried calling in, 35 minute hold time, requested a call back. Received the call back 45 minutes later to verify every single detail on my account, have the *** agree they also couldnt see the payment and stated they had to transfer to a different department for further investigation. Got to that hold line, for an additional 45 minute wait time. This is absolute insanity and a disgrace.

      They call my business multiple times a day. I believe it's a robocall because they call even when our message states we're closed. I've answered a couple times but there's no sound, then it just disconnects.

      Every time you call Mohela you wait for hours and the representatives can never answer any of your questions. However, this is the experience of all borrowers associated with this company. My question to BBB is what are you doing for borrowers like me and reviews below and above to assist us with the plethora of issues we encounter with every interaction with this company? It is more than the student loan debt is it the true mishandling of every employee and staff member of this company. It should be zero stars, however, that is not an option.

      I spent a total of 4 hours, 24 minutes, and 52 seconds on the phone and talked to a representative for maybe 5 minutes of that time. I waited over 2 hours before the representative finally answered my call. When they answered, the representative was snippy with me and did not appear overly concerned with addressing my situation. When I asked for information about other repayment plan options that were not under the SAVE program, the representative stated that they would transfer me to another department to have my question answered. After I was transferred I waited over 2 hours and 15 minutes for no one to answer my call. This company does not have any interest in helping people make their student loan repayment more affordable and instead appears to be solely focused on creating more hoops for their customers to jump through while charging them as much money as possible. MOHELA is a horrible company and if I could give it 0 out of 5 stars, I definitely would.

      Same as everyone else stay far away from this company and student loans in general. My children will never have this death of student loan debt upon their heads. I am sure Ill die before this gets paid anyhow, at least you cant come after for it then. They denied my application for student loan forgiveness on private loans, funny how they even offered an application in the 1st place. This unfortunately is my last student loan, all the rest have been forgiven including private loans held by another company. ****** *** = Navient = MOHELA = Fraud!!!! Do as the government recommended and forgive all ITT-TECH loans.

      Absolutely terrible terrible company. They have left me in "in-school deferment" so my qualified payments have not counted towards PSLF. **********. Even worse is that it is near impossible to change this. You cannot get a hold of anyone at this company. They should not be in charge of peoples 6 figure debt...

      MOHELA is one of the worst companies on the planet. It doesn't even deserve one star. It deserves no stars. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. They have failed to process my IDR application since May 2024! I can't afford my monthly payment, and they know it, which is why I have been on *** for the past few years. The customer service is incompetent, but I can't even truly blame them. It's this trash company and its failure to provide services to those of us who would gladly pay back our loans if we could afford it. This company has carried out illegal practices that a smaller company would've been shut down for. They need to be sued and everybody who had to deal with this garbage company should have their loans forgiven for the heck of it. Throw the whole company away!
