      Mohela operated in unethical business practices while servicing my two loans. The loans should have been place in in-school status while I was attending school. However, Mohela did not recognize my student status for many months which caused the one subsidized loan to accrue interest. I explained multiple times that I intend to make payments while in school to keep the interest down and potentially even lower the principal balance however I would not make payments on the illegitimate interest balance of the subsidized loan. Finally, the in-school status was upheld after repeated follow *** between me and the university, but the accrued interest was not removed from the balance. Several phone calls, email, and online chats (all of which I have documentation of) did not get the matter handled. Mohela maintained the unwarranted subsidized loan interest and then later transferred servicing to EdFinancial which still has the unauthorized interest balance on the subsidized loans. So now its back to square one with EdFinancial in trying to get this unjustified interest removed. Add to this, all the loan detail records have been whipped from Mohelas site.... Good thing I kept detailed records. I want to make payments and pay back what is rightly owed... But this is not what is owed, and this practice is incompetent at best and unethical at worst. Shameful.

      I have been eligible for PSLF for almost a year now. One of my loans has been forgiven but not the other. When I am able to get through to them I just get the run around and they are working on it. The interest is racking up as well.

      Worst loan servicer out there. Do not use them! Theyve set up their entire system with redundancies to creat barriers to providing the service they advertise. For example: needed to renew my payment plan. They sent me to *** site to do so. Then FSA informs me that MoHELA does not accept automatic updates from them. Forcing each borrower to do the whole process manually or by mail. These are intentional barriers to slow renewals and forgiveness requests.

      Scam/predators/liara. This company is in bed with the ***t- student aid dot *** literally told me to transfer my very low interest loans from ****** *** to here to be eligible for forgiveness. Note I have been eligible for public service forgiveness for 10 yr now. But good luck navigating that maze. Transferred low on test loans to HIGHER interest mohela. No forgiveness and sore never works. Reset password every single time. Auto pay doesnt work so received chargers die late pay. FRAUD SCAM. You need to taken down. This country is capitalist filth. Theft of the highest order.

      Being reprimanded from the government. Switched to new platform but yet I am still getting emails that a payment is due soon. In 2031!!! Not to mention accruing interest on loans that were put in forbearance due to government issues in court. Stop the B.S interest. Makes no sense why we are being punished for your mismanagement. This is why the education system needs reform. I hope no one makes the mistake I did and buy a degree I will never use because I was told I should. Expensive mistake that feeds the corporate money mill.

      ZERO STARS! Mohela is worthless and should be out of business for how badly they service loans. In my case a $10k payment was made and here it is 5 months later, 3 phone calls later, countless hours on hold or the phone asking about this - and it is still not applied to the loans. I wish I could charge them for my wasted time. All they care about is lining their pockets - my money is sitting in their OLD system (probably earning interest for them) and meanwhile my loans do not show anything has been paid. They should be criminally investigated!

      I waited on hold for 40 minutes (automated message said it would take 74 minutes to speak with someone) and I was disconnected. I called back and chose the call-back option because they said I would have to wait on hold for ************************************************** and the call was disconnected again! How do they expect you to get anything done?! Some people have to work to pay back their loans!

      Cannot get ahold of anyone. I tried every possible option, but nothing applies to me, however if I don't choose something, it hangs up on me. I've also tried contacting my senators and representative. MOHELA is completely unresponsive.

      Worst company I have ever encountered. I have already made 124 payments towards my student loans; they have explained to me multiple times that I will no longer be asked for payments. Well, now I have a past due payment and no one can tell me why they have not released the loan. They have forgiven one and held onto the other. Both have had 124 payments. They are so frustrating because it seems as though no one ever knows what's actually happening.

      ***! Ever since MOHELA began this new website platform they have failed to properly debit my monthly payments for the last 5 months, even after I've registered twice onto the new site. I've contacted them several times and have been given different time periods of when this issue will be resolved but it never was. My account clearly shows AUTOPAY is in effect with the correct information and the DAY of payment. I've re-submitted multiple AUTOPAY approvals (even though I've been on AUTOPAY with no issues before the new platform) but yet their worthless AUTOPAY system fails to debit my bank account on the day it was supposed to which in turn reflects an OVERDUE PAYMENT to my account My other gripe is why is it difficult to login on to the new site?I saved the website but each time I'm unable to get on so I do a common ****** search and it always leads me back to the old site - why is the old site still active? I then continue searching until the right login page pops up. "ZERO" Stars - not anyway near 1 Star.
