Your company has called my cell phone - ************ - on multiple occasions over the last few weeks. No voicemails were left explaining the reason for the call.
I have reviewed my credit reports, including all personal debts, past and present, and see no valid outstanding debt warranting the involvement of a collections agency. I therefore dispute the validity of any presumed alleged debt with regards to which you have presumably been calling.
Therefore in accordance with the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15 USC Sec. 1692 you are hereby notified to cease and desist any and all attempts to collect the alleged debt in question. I am hereby declining any attempts to collect the alleged debt in question. I am hereby declining any attempts to collect by Credit Control, LLC or any other collection agency with regards to this or any other alleged debt in my name.
If Credit Control, LLC believes it does have valid debit it may legitimately collect from me, it is legally required to present written documentation to the appropriate court of jurisdiction proving the validity of said indebtedness.
Absent such documentation, you are hereby notified to inform and/or remove from any reporting agencies any and all alleged debt currently in dispute.
You are also hereby notified to cease and desist any and ally contact with me in regards to this matter unless it is to notify me via U.S. mail that you will be terminating all attempts to collect said alleged debt.Business Response

Credit Control LLC is claiming I owe a debt of $8870.64 however they have not showed verifiable proof that the debt belongs to me. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 (a)(1)(A), Credit Control LLC required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report. Otherwise anyone paying for their reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I demand to see verifiable proof from Credit Control LLC original consumer contract with my signature on it) that you have on file for the account listed above. Their failure to positively verify this account has hurt my ability to obtain credit. Under the FCRA, unverifiable accounts must be removed and if you are unable to provide me a copy of verifiable proof, and you must not place this account on my credit reports. I demand that the following account be verified or Credit Control LLC and desist all collection activities on this account.Business Response

Late October 2022 I received a debt collection letter from Credit Control, LLC stating that I owed $37.09 to ********* **************************** PA. I put the letter to the side thinking it was a scam as I had just been in the ** on 09/30/2022 and had not yet received a bill from the hospital itself or my insurance. On 11/04/2022 I received my explanation of benefits from my insurance and contacted them to see if I did in fact owe anything. Turns out I didn't they fully covered the visit and the letter is in fact a clerical error from the provider or a scam and the provider does not bill using that name they bill from the hospital they are part of and try for a minimum of 6 months to collect themselves before selling the debt. I have not received any bills from the hospital and even contacted them directly and they have no record of the debt as again my insurance covered it in full.Business Response

In reviewing our file, we find this account was placed with our office for collection on October 5, 2022, at which time we sent our letter of representation to the consumer. We have not had any contact with this consumer. While we would normally obtain documentation to validate the debt and provide copies to the consumer, unfortunately due to the consumer's request that we cease contact we are not able to assist the consumer any further in investigating and validating this debt. We are closing our file regarding this account and returning it to our client.

We are in receipt of the the complaint of *** *****, forwarded to our office through the portal on October 12, 2022. Upon receipt of your correspondence we documented this complaint and forwarded a copy to our client.
In reviewing our file, we find this complaint to be a duplicate of a complaint received and responded to earlier today from this consumer, through the ****. Credit Control, LLC operates in multiple sites, including 2 sites located in Tampa FL, Las Vegas, NV, and our Headquarters located in Earth City, MO. The consumer stated in his earlier complaint that he found a different address on our website than the address he was given by our representative. The address on our website is the address of our Headquarters in Earth City, MO.
I'm not sure what *** ***** is referring to when he asks for a "Business ID Number", but if he is referring to state licensing, our representative would not have that information to provide to him. Our state licensing information in each state is however public information, so *** ***** would be able to obtain that information on line through whichever state or licensing entity he is inquiring about.
Finally, regarding his request for validation of the debt, after speaking with *** *****, our representative placed this account into a hold status, but as both of *** *****'* complaints contain a request that we cease communication, we are unfortunately not able to provide him with the information he was asking for. We have placed his account into a cease status, pending recall by our client.

Account # ******** I requested verification of my debt, including each purchase made, with date of purchase and location as part of an ongoing investigation into fraud. The debt has been on my credit report jumping form creditor to creditor. When I request the detailed verification, the debt is sold from one collection agency to another. Credit Control, LLC provided me with a verificaiton of the total amount but cannot provide verification of the purchases, the dates they were made or where they were made and for what products. I was medically incapacitated at the time of the debt and am only now able to verify and investigate the fraudulent activity, which they cannot provide. In the meantime, the debt has held me back from employment opportunities as well as housing rentals. and car loans. I would like the debt removed from my credit report immediately as they failed to provide proper verification and there are several collection agencies claiming the same fraudulent debt on my report.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am and have been requesting proof of the details of the debt so that I can verify the fraud. I have been provided the total balance of the debt, but no one has been able to provide me with copies of the original transactions. I know the total balance. I need to see the transactions each and every one. I am requesting proof of the transactions, the amount of each individual transaction and the date and location/vendor of each transaction for legal proceedings. I am retaining a lawyer for the fraud investigation and he has requested that I collect this info.If I am unable to collect it on my own, then I will need to pay him $400/hour to contact you and collect it, which would translate to further damages.
