      Run! Regarding FIT Mastercard. They will take your money and run. Change dates and stories every time you call and flat out make things up to suit thier needs over yours. Dont bother. Go with someone else. ??

      Another issue with a different credit card company same scenario making payments and they are not being applied to the account. Also sent in hardship application due to myself being unemployed effective 1/24/25 and would like to get the ball rolling on my credit protection plan. I've worked very hard to build my credit up and I am not going to let it be destroyed.

      I was behind on payments to my Aspire Credit Card. I was receiving regular emails about a match pay program, where I could make a payment and they would match 50% of the payment to give more credit back to the user with a lower payment. While I was aware the account was behind, there was no indication online, or in monthly statements that the account was closed. After making the payment, the available credit on the account did not update, it stayed at $0, despite showing a $720 credit limit (see image). After contacting the Live Chat support, I was told that my account was closed on 1/16/2025 and that a letter was sent via mail. I never received any letter and there was no other indication anywhere that my account was closed or that the credit would not become available. When I checked on the status of the payment through live chat previously, it just said it could take 3-6 business days to show up, again, never mentioning that the account was closed. I asked for a refund of the money, as I intended to use that credit to buy groceries when it cleared, but they refused, saying that they could not provide a refund. This payment was made under the false pretense that the account was still open and the funds would be available. If I had known the account was closed, I would not have made a payment yet. I need that money for food.

      I actually received a refund. I did not have this information in the BBB response, or couldn't see it when I got the email, so I assumed nothing was done. I am happy with the refund and no further action is needed now.

      I closed my Aspire Credit Card account a few months back and was paying down the balance. I go today to review my balance only to find that an Annual fee of $29 has been added to my account. If I canceled the card, why in life would I be charged an annual fee? I don't want your card anymore. When I reached out via chat to inquire why the annual charge, I was told that any balances over $25 will incur the annual fee regardless if the account is closed or not. WHAT A RIP OFF!! GLAD I CANCELED!
