1 starI truly feel like this company business practices are shady as **** My husband got in an accident in June. **** sent us here to get a rental car. We drive a large vehicle and get stuck with a much smaller one that reeks of cigarette smoke. You get a whiff every time you get into car. Hubby just got rear ended and is shaken, so he takes them up on their recommendations for extra protection and signs up for the extra insurance so we dont get screwed if something happens to said car. Extra insurance is $16.99 a freaking day- he thinks whatever - a week or two to fix said car. We get hit with more life **** and dont think about said insurance and find out last week they are charging our card over $900 for insurance. I call to discuss the outrageous cost and they say if you cancel now and something happens, $ comes out of your pocket since you cancelled. We still dont have a pickup date for OUR car. What the ****? Our car is taking foreverstill paying that car payment by the way.. Weve had the rental 57 days and its like taking on a few more extra car payments in a two month period to cover this. I am freaking out! Called and they were so condescending. Youre husband signed the contract and its been 57 days and its $16.99 per day . Like no big deal. Why not a flat rate? Wont go over this $ much per month. Why not credit it back if nothing happens to the car? Or some percentage? This whole ordeal has been a horrible experience while having to deal with a stressful situation. This seems like price gouging! Its a freaking rental car that is literal ********* never own this car and will NEVER go through Enterprise again. I am so ****** and disheartened by their business practices. Take advantage of people losing their vehicles in accidents for repairs or for the many other reasons people get rental cars. ******* insane practices and horrible customer service. Its manipulative and corrupt.Review fromSusan F

1 starthey asked for my drivers license, my state farm card, and my credit card. then they asked me if i wanted insurance for the rental, I was under the impression if they seen my state farm card and i had full coverage for rental then why would they ask me if I needed insurance? I assumed that my insurance would not cover it and that the party at fault which was farmers would cover it. That did not happen I got billed $492.71 for an insurance that i did not need because they are scammers and do NOT tell you that you do not need their insurance. To me that is price gouging, i talked to the manager at the Berwyn rental location and he told me that it is not their responsibility to see if it is covered or not. how do this people sleep at night so many people fall for it. please alert everybody else and help me get my money back. RA#****** thank youReview fromMatt B

1 starThey let you make a reservation at a location even if that location has no cars. Obviously they care way more about profit than anything else... I'm done with them.Review fromAnne J

1 starI have an accent because I am from *************. Today March 23, at 4:59 PM, I experienced the worst discrimination case at this enterprise location. I called the business at 4:50 PM, and I had an appointment to pick up a car at 5 PM. I talked to a young lady there and told her that I was on my way and should be there by 5 PM. She answered we're closed at 5 PM. I told her that I should be there by five or 5:01, according to my GPS. She replied, "if you're not here by 5:00, I'm leaving because we told you that we're closed at 5 PM." then slammed the phone in my face. I have never spoken to her before. I only talked to a young man yesterday who reserved the car for me, whom I told that I would pick up the car at 5 PM. I managed to get there at 4:59 PM due to traffic. When I entered the place, I announced myself and politely said, you did not have to slam the phone in my face; I called as a courtesy and talked to someone yesterday who told me that I could pick up the car at 5 PM. She took one look at me and said, "I don't need this from you" "Get the **** out," "I will not rent you a car."As I begged her to give me the car I reserved, she said, "Your kind need to learn to be an example to your children' Get out, or I will call the authority." Meanwhile, my eight-year-old is watching her treat me like this. I could not believe this young lady. I was respectful; I said nothing else to her and made my way out. My job depended on this car. I already dropped my car at the dealership; I have no way of getting it back today. And I have to go to work at 5 AM then pick up my sister from chemo in the afternoon. At the moment, I have no way to get to work and no way of picking up my sister. That was discrimination at its finest. I recorded her if you need proof. Thank you, ****Review fromJeff G

1 starMy car was recently hit and had to be taken to a collision center for repair. The insurance company rented me a car from Enterprise Rent-a-car. Yesterday the car had a flat on the side of the interstate around 6:30 pm. The car did not come with a spare so I could not change it and move the car. I called roadside assistance and they told me to get to a safe place and call back. So I had to call a highway patrolman to give me a ride. When I got to a safe place I called roadside assistance again and they called me an uber to take me to the nearest open enterprise store. When I got there I was told that they had not cars for me. I called roadside assistance again and they said they would get me an uber to another enterprise location 30 minutes further away and farther from my home. I waited 15 minutes and no uber arrived and I did not receive a text from uber. I called roadside assistance again and was told conflicting information and that they could not guarantee me a car if they did get me to the next location. So I had to call my wife to drive 2 hours to come pick me up.The next day I called the local Enterprise where I rented the car and they told me they could not help me that I had to call roadside assistance again. I was also told they could not get me another car until the one that broke down was checked in. I call roadside assistance again and they gave me a number to the supposed location of the rental car. When I called that number it was not in service. I called the local store again and gave them the information. They said they would take care of it. That was at 11:00 am. I called back at 5:00 pm and they still had not been able to find anything out. They could not help me and that I could go by the office in the morning and they would see what they could do. I am now 24 hours without a rental car.Review fromEnola W

Went to pick up a reservation. Employee was in the back cussing talking about killing cops the next white person he sees. So I remind him they have a customer in the store. He proceeds to talk about freedom of speech and becomes confrontational. The Manger came back into the store. I explained what was going on, she (also black) kicks me out for threatening an employee. I have it on video and my lawyer has it. Stay tuned....Enterprise Rent-A-Car

1 starFirst let me say I rented a car from Enterprise through my
insurance company. I paid the additional monies for a larger vehicle due
to having a family of 6. I knew it was an up charge which was ok. I
returned the car a week after the insurance date but insurance advised
them they would pay the bill. Needless to say they charged my card any
how and I found out two weeks later because I was not using the card.
They never called me and advised that the insurance company had not paid
for the remainder of rental yet so I could contact them, instead they
charged my card $968! After speaking with Enterprise they blame it on
the fact that they switched managers and etc. They took no fault of
their own and it was always an excuse why something was done
incorrectly. This story has so much more to it!! The prices are observe
and might I add they charged me for gas and I bought the vehicle back on
exactly what it was given to me on. How can I prove it besides my bank
receipt. Please run from this company I will never rent from them again
and I will be notifying the FCC and Thank God my insurance company is
amazing!!
