The Energizer MAX battery leaked in my oculus quest 2 controller. The controller no longer works. I've tried a few other batteries and have cleaned up as much of the battery compartment as I could. This just happened today (December 8 2023) and the battery expiration date is supposed to be Dec 2029.
There is no such thing as a replacement controller for my quest 2 so I can't even replace it, unless if I go for the quest pro standalone controllers. so I want Energizer to replace it for meBusiness Response

This request is related to case Reference Number: CAS-************* that I have on file with Energizer and Armor All. The product I purchased from them is a headlight cleaning wipe. Instead of cleaning my headlight the product damaged and fogged my headlight. I have followed all requested countermeasures suggested by the company to fix the damage myself. The instructions the company provided only damaged the headlight further. The company asked that I provide quotes related to fixing and replacing the headlight housing. The company is running me in circles at this point. I have done everything they have asked to prove the damage, resolve the damage and provide cost to fix the problem. I need help getting the cost to repair the damage caused to my headlight lens by the company’s product reimbursed. I filed the complaint on Oct 23rd and purchased the Armor All product a few days earlier. I can sen you my correspondence that I have had with this company if you can provide an email to send to. I tried attaching it to this but I think the file is too big. Thank you for your consideration and help on this matter.Business Response

I have provided a ton of evidence of the damage followed all of there steps including taking my time to go get quotes and no results. The product clearly damaged my headlight. It is not the same as before I started using it. The had me perform the steps again damaging the headlight further based on there instructions to meThey are running me in circles vs respecting me and the work I have performed at there request I am happy to provide the materials back to them so they can protect others but I want restitution so I can make my vehicle right This is not a scam I am sure there products cause damage occasionally Nothing is perfect I want them to respect me and what I have provided and actions taken

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
Energizer has not acknowledged anything regarding reimbursement or consideration despite the fact the additional request steps they asked me to take damaged my headlight further.Additionally Energizer requested me to go out and get quotes and this implied reimbursement for the damages their product caused and the additional steps requested caused. I have invested significantly in getting quotes and following up on this issue.
Without reimbursement for the damage done to my vehicle I can’t close this matter out.
I will send my materials to Energizer as requested. I am not very trusting in this process however due to the fact that Energizer has requested to me do so many steps and these steps have wasted so much energy and my time. I have had to initiate all follow up on this matter and emails for responses. Nothing proactive from Energizer. I am a very disappointed consumer and feel I have not been treated as a valued customer of their products.
Sincerely,

I had purchased several hearing aid battery packages from Kroger and apparently the hearing aid batteries that I purchased has some acid leakage buildup. I have reached out to Rayovac via email on the issues and provided all the pictures of the battery packages and as well as the acid leakage buildup. The 1st email went out on 10/16/2023 and it is still going back and forth with more pictures needed from Rayovac. I can provide you with all the emails that I have communicated with Rayovac customer service and all they ask for is pictures from different angles. The batteries does not expire until **** and/or ****. I have provided numerous pictures to prove that the batteries have acid leakage and they keep asking either the image is not clear or take from different angle. They wanted all battery packages lined up and wanted me to take pictures front the side and back side and when I do the images do get a burly when you expand the picture. And if I take it to close I can't get all the packages to come in one snap shot. The emails has been going on for the past 15 plus days and still asking for pictures. At least I provided what they need and they have a clear picture where I proved there is acid leakage and still not resolving the issue. I am tiring of sending pictures and no resolutions is being resolved from Rayovac so BBB is my next source to help me resolve the issues. Touching the acid leakage batteries is bad for our health, but they keep telling me to take pictures and send it this way and that way. I have sent enough pictures to prove it. Please look into the emails and pictures attached.Thank You,*********************** ************Business Response

I first contacted Energizer on October 5, 2023 explaining I could not remove the end cap on my flashlight to replace the batteries. They suggested I should contact the flashlight manufacture; which I did. Not being able to help me, I again, contacted Energizer. As a result I had to cut the end off of the flashlight to get the necessary information to satisfy their requests. They required dates on the batteries, where they were manufactured, and multiple photos of the batteries, and the flashlight. After numerous emails back and forth and redos of the photos I was told my on October 15th we are reviewing your claim and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Not hearing from them, I contacted them on October 19th. They informed me on October 20th After careful consideration and investigation, we have concluded that the reasons behind the device damage is that the device was not used for over a year and the batteries were installed inside, implying they were not honoring their warranty even though the expiration date was December 2028.Their warranty makes no mention of batteries being left in a device; Even as ********************** technology has evolved, battery leaks are still a problem today. Many brands of batteries can still corrode and damage devices after being fully used. Energizer batteries are different. Our batteries are designed to prevent damaging leaks or we will replace your device."In good faith, I would expect Energizer to honor their warranty.Business Response

I bought a 10 pack of double A batteries. The batteries leaked and I wanted to bring this to the attention of Everready Energizer. I sent them a complaint as they provided and heard nothing back. I would have expected at least a response. I received none. All I want is a replacement of the 10 pack of batteries.Business Response

I have bought 3 packs of 60 batteries each with 10 years warranty. Less then a year after the purchase all of the packs have leaking batteries within and my devices that had those batteries within have contacts damaged from leaking batteries as well. I have contacted rayovac for a warranty replacement, providing all the information and pictures asked about and have received no restitution so far. I have followed up on my warranty claim again and it is just being completely ignored.
***************** - claim case number in rayovac from 10/23/22 - so almost a year, i believe more than sufficient time to honor warranty.Business Response

Refer to attachments:1. Pictures of suspect, damaged and leaking batteries sorted by date and origin.2. Pictures of damaged flashlights and leaking batteries.3. Letter sent to company.4. Screenshots of warranty.guarantees.I began to purchase Energizer batteries over the last couple of years for my household devices. Recently, I found two flashlights that had severe corrosion (so much that one had to be cut open). Many of the stored, new, unused batteries also had beginning signs of leakage.Speaking with Energizer customer support staff they requested documentation and photos of the issues. I sent these on 8/31/2023 and 9/01/2023. Subsequent emails from the support staff (09/05/2023 and 09/06/2023) asked for additional photos and each stated an entirely different set of standards for the guarantee processessentially making the process incredibly difficult. I sent over 25 photos. After sending all the photos, multiple emails and phone calls, my claim was partially denied due to:1. A mix of batteries in one of the flashlights. Support said: Policy does not allow the use of different batteries with different manufacturing (good though) dates.First, the batteries were all (purchased) new and placed in the flashlight at the same time and, although the batteries did have two different manufacturing dates, this is not a condition of guarantee and not explicitly stated on the Energizer websites or packaging. Finally, stores will typically sell various dated but new packages of Energizer batteries and when purchasing these packages there will always be a mix of dates.2. Unused batteries would still work so a claim was denied for the replacement. Why would I trust batteries from the same packages that the leaking ones came from? Some of these batteries were showing beginning signs of leakage and were a mix of country of origins.Out of good faith, my hope is that Energizer Holdings would retain me as a customer and reimburse me for the purchase of two replacement flashlights and all the unused batteries.Business Response

On 9/13/2023 I purchased a Energizer ** *****power bank from **** *** in Marietta, Ga. It would only charge to 87 percent. We went on vacation, tried to use it to no avail and it would not recharge. I brought it back to Best Buy for an exchange and they refused to check it out nor exchange it because of a 15 day product return policy. We called The Energizer Company and they said that they did not make it but ******** did and gave me a out of US phone number. Since it has the Energizer name on it that they have some responsibility? What are my options or any recourse?Business Response
