I purchased an "energizer" power pack for recharging my cell phones with two ports. We took it out yesterday because we are going on a trip. Both sides of the battery swoll up so much that they pushed the case open.

I called customer service twice, after looking up the product model and serial number they told me that it was licensed and made by another company and I was given a customer service number in Taiwan. Absurd! I am not going to call Taiwan (by the way no USA phone number and yet product is sold here!).

Could not be transferred to a manager or supervisor. Second call after some research another licensed manufacturer and they do not make the product. Helped tell me who. Sent to the website different from the first referral, different name but under warrantee listed same original referral, no customer service number only email but secommeded going to original purchase site (by the way bought on my honeymoon far away from where I live).

Energizer is clearly licensing and making money on the name. Customer like me associates to good product experience with Energizer in the past. Purchasesds without any sense not their product, but they are making money on licensing and do not stand behind product. Making customer service and warrantee useless!

I will like a replacement and easy mechanism to get with the model number and serial number. Otherwise will not buy any products from Energizer again and will spread the work on these deceptive and bad business practices!

      Dear, BBB

We apologize for the challenges the Consumer is having
with this product.  As mentioned to the Consumer Energizer does not
produce this product. This is licensee product. The licensee for this product can be reached
via their website at **************** or by calling Consumer
      Care at ************.  Energizer is
committed to customer service, however since we are not the manufacturer of the
product in question, ******** is the responsible party. Energizer therefore
      considers the matter close.

      Sincerely,
      Energizer

Eergizer is running a promotion where you can get rewards points for
purchasing their products. I submitted my purchase on December 14th and
redeemed points for 2-$5 rewards in ******. To date I still have not
received my rewards. I emailed ***** ***** on 12/21 and on 12/22 received an email from them saying they were out of the office until 1/3/23. One 1/6/23 I emailed again since I had not heard back; they emailed back saying these redemptions are done from their accounting office in batches. No timeline was give. I emailed back asking for a timeline and no response yet.

I understand these taking a few days to complete but not 3 weeks. I would like my $10 (total) redemption put into my ****** account.

P.S. to Energizer: I know these are done through ***** ***** but for me this is a direct reflection on Energizer.

Energizer is running a promotion where you can get rewards point for purchasing their products. I submitted my purchase on October 29th and redeemed points for 2-$5 rewards in PayPal. To date I still have not received and no one will respond to my emails. At first i was lied to and told was only done once a month. So when November 29th passed I emailed again and was told there was an issue but I would get in a few days. Now no one will respond. FALSE ADVERTISING. Large cardboard display in many stores advertising this "rewards" program. I know it's only $10 but it's Energizer....come on, do better.

An Energizer AA battery leaked inside one of my electric devices and damaged it. Called Energizer, they sent an email asking for many photos of the leaking battery as well as the damaged item. It was clear from the pictures and from my device that the battery had leaked and cause this issue. I’ve attached images that clearly show this. Energizer got back and refused my claim stating that while all three batteries were from Energizer the lots did not match. Called the customer service rep and she was rude in telling me that it’s common knowledge that I should switch all energizer at the same time. Is the company saying that if I have a perfectly new energizer battery with a full charge I can’t use it because I can’t find a matching battery from the company? Do they expect us to throw out new batteries? So if I buy a pack of four batteries and my item only takes three then once the three batteries run out the fourth is rendered useless! Also, if only one of the batteries charge runs out in my device and I can’t find the matching one one expected to throw all three out. The image speaks for itself… the Energizer battery leaked, my item is damaged and Energizer is not standing behind its product.

      Dear BBB,

Thank you for informing us a complaint has been
filed. After careful consideration and investigation, we have concluded
that the cause of the damage to the Consumer’s device was due to mixing battery
selection. Per the packaging of the batteries, you should not mix batteries and
you should always replace all the batteries at the same time with the same
batteries. For this reason, the Consumer’s claim was denied.

      Sincerely,

      Energizer

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      - the packing at the time of purchase didn’t state that the batteries couldn’t be mixed with Energizer batteries of different expiration date

-when I asked Energizer to provide proof of the packaging from that specific lot and year of batteries they were not able do so

-as shown in the pictures I have provided, the battery date hasn’t expired and the battery has leaked before the expiration date

-Energizer has asked me to provide many pictures of expiration dates and yet they are now telling me that the expiration date is irrelevant

-if a battery leaks it’s an issue with the product quality by Energizer … not because of mixing dates of expiration.  I asked energizer what percentage of their clients don’t mix batteries and they weren’t able to answer … that’s because most clients likely mix expiration dates.  This is just a loophole for Enegizer not to be liable for their cheap batteries.

In summary, Energizer doesn’t stand behind its product,  the battery leaked before its expiration date and Energizer refuses to cover the cost of my damaged item.  I have done some research on Duracell and their warranty doesn’t have loopholes and they pay for damages items without having to send a dozen pictures and answering ten questions that are meant to get out of being responsible for a faulty battery .  Bottom line … avoid Energizer and go with Duracell because they stand behind a better product

      Sincerely,

I purchased 4 energizer cameras for my home. In order to record you have to purchase the cloud services or use a sd card. I purchased the cloud service for 4 cameras on August 21, 2022. I noticed in September that my playback was not working nor had it been saving to the cloud. I called technical support just to get the run around about how they have to send my request elsewhere. September 21st they charged my card again without resolving my issue or contacting me back. In October I spoke to several different reps about my refund. All of them say the accounting team only meets bi weekly and they have your request. It is November 12th and no response no refund. I want my money back now. They are a fraud.

I bought a 24 pack of Energizer batteries that are supposed to last 10 years which is untrue. The batteries are in the original package and there is the white toxic residue coming from the majority of the batteries. iI contact Energizer to no avail. They insist I open the package and subject myself to this toxic mess to obtain a number they need for any refund. I told them numerous times I will not jeopardize my life or health. The last email they suggested I wear protective gear. I told them a number of times to send me a postage paid label and I will send these very dangerous and toxic batteries to them. They are refusing.

I think they were 9.99 a pk I bought a pack of AA and a pack of AAA Rayovac brand batteries they were purchased black friday 2021. These batteries have leaked in about everything i've put them in I think i've had at least 2 pair of AA's leak into my roku remotes and other devices. They have leaked in the storage box (battery daddy) I would like to be compensated for at least the batteries either a refund of $20 for both packs of AA and AAA's. And this is my second complaint one was through email support a few years ago I bought a smoke detector with a rayovac battery in it. the detector failed to work due to a faulty 9v rayovac battery I feel this was a safety concern and felt a recall should of been issued or at least a warning to consumers issued about the possibility of bad battery's instead I was issued a coupon for $10 off an energizer product or batteries which i purchased a head lamp with but still don't fix the main problem of shoddy batteries coming from the energizer family of batteries. This is unacceptable in my eyes. when I have batteries in storage leaking out from your brand and batteries from ****** basic batteries that haven't leaked or given me problems at all their is something wrong on your end that needs to be addressed energizer/rayovac
So either refund me or replace these crap batteries with something that isn't going to leak and potentially cause damage to my equipment and lights or buy me another roku remote since your batteries seem to like to leak into them on the regular
