      Been without power or word from ameren for over two days. They dont care and they have no competition. I dont know why this company is allowed to operate the way they do but I dont like it, or them. If you have any other option, I implore you to avoid ameren.

      Seems like whenever the power goes out, Ameren always focuses on the higher income non minorities areas first.

      When meter was changed they hooked them wrong. I was getting apt A's bill and they were getting mine Apt B.. $60.00 more on my end for 5mths before I found the problem. They gave me a $50.00 Owe me at least $300.00. this was in 2019. I have lived here since 2017 to the present.. you can see My electric bill is between $20.00-25.00 8-9 mths out of the year..4mths out of the year is summer and that's when it's $80.00 not in dead of winter. Neighbors in Apt A use electric space heaters in winter and that year I got to pay it. I'm disabled and on fix income. It took years to recover. Neighbors too had to pay back what they owed, don't know why because I already paid there bill.. Ameren had the nerve to tell me to take my neighbors to court???... Please help me get my money back. They said this matter has been closed n hang up on me. I gave up until someone told me to ask you guy's... HELP!!!.

      Specifically said i did not want my meter changed. They refused my request went ahead and changed it and now my bill is double. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Scam of a company. If there were another electric company available I would switch immediately. They continue to raise my budget billing even though for the past 2 and a half months I’ve had no heat or AC running. So do the math for that? Purposely trying to make people go broke

      I’d give them a zero if it were possible. My bill tripled and they told me it’s probably because it’s getting warm out and I haven’t used my ac at all. I paid less when I had the heat on all winter then I am right now not using ac or anything. If there were more options I’d be done with Ameren and *****. Neither of these places care about customers and they’d rather bleed you dry then simply allow you to pay for use. I wish this review mattered but it probably won’t do anything because terrible people get rewarded for being terrible.

      Not sure what this comment has to do with my review or why I had to wait 5 days after the review to do this so it would go through. It almost seems like you guys are trying hard to get people to not leave reviews because you know youll get a lot of bad ones. But guess what, waiting all this time hasnt made me forget that my bill tripled out of nowhere.

      I’ve noticed Ameren has been charging me an extra $10-20 every month for the past 5 months or so. They send me a “breakdown” of usage every month via email and I noticed they have listed the highest billing under “heating,” which I have not used since November, and even then, I turned on the heater for just two days. Then, I got another email yesterday with them adding on another extra $9 under “electric vehicle” which I do not own, nor could I use as I live in an apartment.
      I called about this today and the lady couldn't answer anything but tell me a supervisor will have to call me back later. Another lady calls me back and basically vaguely evades the whole thing by saying things such as oh we’ve had a few people call about the electric vehicle thing and it’s not completely accurate but there’s nothing we can do. They said there is nothing wrong on their end and that all I could do is just turn the whole breaker off to see what is using up so much energy like that’s a viable solution.
      I haven't turned on the heater because it really dries me out. I also haven’t even used the space heater, nor do I hardly ever even turn on the lights. There’s absolutely no reason why my energy bills have been so high and is higher than when I was actually using the AC during summertime, but I can't seem to get a straightforward answer from them. Even when I was visiting back home and was not physically in the apartment, my energy bill was never less than $23 so something is going on here.

      In reviewing the information, the customer was additionally contacted on 03/23/2023 regarding their questions and concerns with how the usage is displayed. ***** were discussed and compared in detail. The customer was advised how to update their ********************** profile which will assist in making the usage breakdown become more accurate in the future. The customer was advised the usage breakdown would never be 100% correct. The customer has been advised they may reach out to the customer service department if they have any additional questions in the future.

      I think you guys need to make sure when you turn power on in a residence that you're getting the person whose information you're receiving that it is the legal person that belongs to that social security number so that people like me don't have to run around town trying to prove who I am because you messed up my apartment is freezing I have a pet I have nowhere else to go but you guys don't care I have to wait for you to get your stuff together till you figure out that I am who I say I am and you messed up and then what so then you turn my power on but then what about all these weeks that I've had to go through this doesn't matter though right disgusting I just don't understand how I'm **** everybody else you have to prove who you are but you don't have to prove here so people just get these outstanding bills and they just walk away

      Well I'm trying to sort out my issue with autopayments to ameren, they have lost my information 3 times now. I keep getting hung up on. my bill is over 1 grand now because I simply cannot get them to fix the problems with autopay...they have this nice little pass the buck scam going on where if you call ameren they say you have to fix it with speedpay if you call speedpay they say they can't see your account information without calling ameren and both refuse to do a conference call to sort out the mess. They also REFUSE to get you a supervisor, and put you on indefinite holds hoping you hang up. all the while I'm getting collections notices and threats they are going to shut off my ************ they will direct me right to an automated system that will take my payment but speaking with a person is at least 10 minutes of the automated system doing it's best to keep you from them. then when you get them they just try to get rid of you as fast as possible. the first lady I spoke with said she was sending me to speedpay but sent me back to the bottom of the que. the second one I spoke with transfered me to speedpay where the lady proceeded to place me on mute hoping I would hang up. after half an hour she finally decided she could explain hanging up easier than a call that never ends...I cannot for the life of me understand why this is a problem, I have the exact same credit card I always have, it processes fine for a few months then out of the blue it just stops...I have several other bank drafts all of which do not have issues I use the card daily. but they sure want me to call my bank to see what is wrong...rather than do any investigation or escalation what so ever. even though obviously the problem is that they don't communicate very well with their payment processing company and they are too cheap to buy the licenses to take payments themselves.

      I had solar panels installed on my home in 2022. The installation coordination with Ameren was handled poorly by my installer and installation/turn-on did not occur until April of 2022. I called Ameren numerous time in 2022 to get my solar project approved, and I received NO BILLS from April of 2022 till December of 2022. After a delay in billing from April till late December of 2022 I was informed I had a late bill of 433$. Prior to installing solar on my home I was enrolled in Ameren's Community solar project at 50% of my expected yearly energy usage. I ASKED to be removed from community solar during my calls to Ameren's customer service personal, I found out two days ago, I was still enrolled in Community solar although I asked for this to be discontinued earlier. So although I received NO BILLS for 9 months, I was being charged for a program I was told was removed. The following needs to be changed on Ameren's procedures: 1) **************** solar participation of ALL customers converting to rooftop solar, and remove them from community solar. 2 ) Streamline billing so that a (7 to 9 months) years delay in billing does not occur. 3) Provide an estimate of expected bills after rooftop solar is installed, I know this cannot be exact, but something should be possible. (I Know this cannot be exact, but some estimate should be possible) 4) Provide the tools to customer service to answer a) billing questions of this sort b) automatic procedures related to community solar & roof top solar. I DO STRONGLY FEEL I am due a refund for the last years community solar program, in as much as my rooftop solar always generated an excess of energy to Ameren's grid.

      In reviewing the information, changes to the account were made and the customer stopped receiving a regular bill for a period of time. The billing was adjusted, and the customer began receiving bills again. A Specialist reviewed the information and contacted the customer. An additional adjustment was made, and the customer advised their concerns had been addressed.
