SS&B installed my heating and air over 10 years ago and have had to have them come out and check a couple things since then. I had **** come out to find a certain error code problem I was having on my air conditioning system. Within a short amount of time, he found the problem, repair and fixed the problem in a timely and very professional and personal manner. When I called SS&b the day before to set up an appointment, even though it was around 4:00 or 4:30, the lady on the other then end of the phone was so pleasant and so helpful. Very frustrated! Called to check coolant levels. They came out turned off the outside unit that had been running, just not keeping up and suddenly the capacitor is reading zero, they wanted to charge $180 to replace the capacitor (Clip three wires to a capacitor) (a $30-$40 part) on top of the 125 dollars for coming out. They were not able to run the coolant level test without a running unit. I headed to stone parts to pick up a capacitor and the tech left before I got back, I called back a few days later and was told it would be another 125 dollars for them to come back out on top of what it would cost to add coolant if needed "because we refused the repair". The capacitor just starts the unit, it does not have anything to do with the cooling on the inside. Cody was great, he had never seen a capacitor read zero after disconnecting from a working unit. I was under the impression they would come back to check the coolant level within 30 day.SS&B Heating & Cooling, Inc

*********, we are very sorry you were disappointed with our service. **** had a full schedule and could not wait while you sourced a replacement part. Our diagnostic is guaranteed and the parts we install come with a 30 day warranty but we cannot make multiple trips for free. The technician was very courteous and professional.
He seemed to really care about our comfort. He went above and beyond to make sure that the filters were installed correctly. He took the time to explain the results of his diagnostics.
