1 starReceived a gift card for Fathers Day and when I tried to use it I got an error message telling me the card number was invalid. I contacted my son in law and asked if they had the receipt. Once I had the receipt, I noticed the last four digits on the receipt (you can only see the last four since the rest are starred out) dont match what is on my card. How does that happen? Sounds like theft or fraud to me. Ive contacted customer service about the issue. Buyer beware and check your gift cards before leaving the store.Review fromJeff B

Bought a pair of hiking boots several months ago. Tried one on in store. Fit good. Took them home and first time I put both on one was extremely tight. That boot had the same tag as other boot. I put them sole to sole and one was a lot smaller than the other. I took the boots back and showed the customer care employee what was wrong. He took the boots back and on my receipt he put RESALEABLE after I pointed out the flaw. I went and got another pair of shoes. Took them home and when I tried to lace them one of the lace loops was broke. I called them and refused to return them because of the distance. They sent me a mail voucher to mail them. Been a month and have not heard from them. So I called and was told it would be sometime in june before a response was made. It appears to me that cabelas is selling substandard merchandise at extreme prices.Bass Pro Shops

1 starI would like to talk to you about an issue that happened in your store on 3/19 concerning my son and me. I went into your store (a store we frequent and buy from regularly) to look for a 12-gauge shotgun. The sales associates were very pleasant with my son, letting him hold it, showing him the proper shells to use and even talked to him about turkey hunting. I than had a background check done on me, my son paid for the gun with his card, and we walked out of the store. Easy transaction, right? We got home, shot a few rounds with it and it jammed. I called the store, and they told me to take it apart. And that was the beginning of where your store went wrong. First of all, it was a brand-new purchase. You absolutely do not tell someone to take it apart. You tell them to bring it back for a replacement or refund. So, we brought it back after a discussion on the phone. When we brought it back, a conversation started up about my son using it for turkey hunting. And that is where the second problem for your sales associated went wrong. When they found out that the shotgun was for my son they immediately got concerned, told her they were refunding the money and red flagged me in the system so that I could never purchase a gun from Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops again.
So basically, this is what happened. Your sales associates up front while spending the time with her son talking about the gun, never ONCE questioned his age. So, your associates screwed up and to cover it nicely, refunded her money (actually it was purchased on his card, but the money was refunded to me) and then your store had the nerve to red flag me forever. Fast forward to 4/24 I get a call from John W store (GM) and he told me over the phone that if I would be able to pass everything legally then I could buy a gun from Cabela's again just not the shot gun. Well, 4/25 I asked for an email stating this, and he won't send me an email stating our convo through email on 4/24. States he cant do this...........Review fromDawn S

1 starI had to order my husband boots by phone because the website would not work. When I called them their phone system was not working so I had to hold through the menu and for customer service to get on the line. When the woman came on I gave her the name of the boot and the price. She said it back to me but quoted a price that was cheaper. I told her as much and her response was “that’s what is coming up” so we placed the order. The immediately took money from my account. Later I got the order confirmation email and noticed she had ordered the wrong boot! I called back and was told they could not stop the order and I would have to order the correct pair as well. She gave me 10.00 off for my inconvenience and said when I got the tracking number for the wrong boots to call and they would do a reverse ship and refund my money. Well today (the next day) I called because I got the tracking number and was told it may not work and I may have to just return the boots when they come and it would take about 7 weeks to get my refund? What??? It took them 5 minutes to suck 230.00 out of my account but I have to wait 7 weeks??? BullS___! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase from here! I used to have an account there and made tons of purchases but they have definitely gone down in service! Oh well LL Bean will get my business from now on!Review fromBill S

2 starsI left my electric side by side for nearly 3 months waiting on a new part. After picking it up I had to return it to them to fix a loose wire from the ************. After picking it up the second time I returned home to find I didnt have a key in the ignition. I called them and they told me they would immediately mail my keys to me. Now Im setting here 3 days latter still waiting for my keys. It is a 170 mile trip each time I have to return to the repair shop. Please get your act and service together.Review fromCarl N.orman

1 starI ordered a pair of hiking boots, which arrived with MOLD on them. I immediately threw them in the trash, and emailed BPS voicing my displeasure. They offered to send a new pair, which I declined; my son needed the boots for a trip within days, so the new ones would not arrive in time. Instead, I told them to fix their issues but leave me alone. Instead, they sent a new pair. -But to the wrong address! (The Fed-Ex photo looked nothing like my house or neighborhood). They said they would send a refund and a gift voucher for $25. I immediately said no, I want nothing from you. They sent the refund and voucher anyhow. Four months later they go into my bank account and remove the refund, overdrawing my account in the process! When I called to complain, they said it was because I never mailed back the original boots. These people are crooks, and look for any angle to take your money. I've sent NO LESS than three email specifically telling them to send me nothing, remove me from their mailing lists, and leave me alone. Now they go and do this. There is nothing fair or honorable about this company, and you would do well to take your money -and account information- elsewhere.Review fromSam T

1 starTheir customer service reps are either incompetent or malicious is their intents. I tried to return a product on 4/11/2023. CSR, *****, indicated that the computer was off line and to come back in 15 minutes.
I went to shop for a bit and returned to the customer service desk. ***** went to lunch, and I was attended to by *****. ***** is atrocious. I asked her to help with refunding a product and she indicated that ***** is the only person that can process the refund. I asked if I could speak to a manager to help with the refund. ***** stated that no one else in the store was trained to processed refunds except *****. Since I drove over 50 miles each way for this transaction, I asked if the refund could be completed without me being present and requested a call to confirm completion. After 4 hours of no update, I called the store and was advised by ***** that I needed to be physically present, with my credit card, in order for her to process the refund. I spoke with their manager, ****, and he confirmed *****'s statement.
***** is either incompetent, lazy, or was intentional in not wanting to help me. I would avoid dealing with her. If you have the misfortune to come across her, make sure to report her ineptitude to management, corporate, ****, bbb, etc. This woman should not work in a customer facing capacity.Review fromJosh S

1 starI attempted to redeem a gift card for a rain suit via phone. When I scratched off the pin # the numbers became blurry and could not identify the digits. When I gave the card number to the salesperson and told her about the *** she said she could not take the card. Now I have a $100 piece of worthless plastic. Very disappointing customer experience.Review fromDan G

Horrible customer service at the lacey wa. Cabelas . I spent 180 bucks on fishing gear and a reel. No one was around the fishing dept . I found the reel I wanted so I grabbed the box below the reel which was empty which is understandable due to the security. I took the box to checkout and all the gear and paid, I asked the teller if I needed to go back and get my reel or does she call to have it brought to me, she said to go back to fishing dept and ask the guy. I went back and he was there with customer, I told him I needed to pick up my reel and handed him my empty box, he laughed at me and said you paid for a empty box, and I about lost my temper on him. I said yes I did isn't this part of your security process and he continued to snicker thinking it was funny . He said he needed to go in the back to get the reel. I waited for 10 min and finally walked back to the checkout and returned everything and walked out. Never again am I going in any cabelas. No wonder everyone goes to ******.Bass Pro Shops
