My son recently moved into a new house in **********. He is planning to put a fence in and he priced out materials and equipment rental to put a small fence around his back yard. Across the back of his yard is a retention pond with and already existing black aluminum fence. While he and I are more than capable to install his fence which is approximately 180 linear feet, in total, or less, he thought he would check on the pricing from Midtown as they left a flyer on his door. He received his pricing from ******* for the product which was around $3,800 for everything. After Midtown came out and measured for the same fence that he was planning to put in, thier initial price was $21,263. He questioned that price and they offered a $500 discount bringing the new estimate down to $20,763. He continued to talk to them just to see how far down they would come and he got them all the way down to $12,757. By this point, he was done and went back to his original plan of doing it himself over a weekend. Fortunately my son is smart but I feel sorry for the poor person who pays $21,263 for a fence for a small yard where the materials are under $4,000!!!! That is very sad that Midtown thinks it's ok to take advantage of people like this!!

5 starsMidtown built us a beautiful deck. The attached photos are proof. From the very start the sales representative (*****) spent a long time going over all the potential materials to choose from, and the pros and cons of each. We had by this time seen several deck builders, and we're convinced that Midtown specialized in high quality deck building, and had the resources to do the job to our satisfaction.The service team was very responsive to our questions and always made sure that we were informed on the timing and logistics involved in building our deck.The team that did the work, tearing down the existing deck and building the new one were very fast and efficient. The deck was built in just over a week. Midtown handled all the building permits and arranged the inspections with the city .We are very pleased with the results. We feel that we made the right choice going with Midtown Home Improvement for this project and highly recommend them for anyone looking to build a deck in the area.Review fromVarnette R

1 starThis company does shady business. Their sales person, ******, was very aggressive and wrote in the contract that I agreed to waive my rights to cancel in 3 days. This is absolutely false! Why would anyone do that!. Im still waiting to speak with the manager! I would never recommend Midtown home improvement to anyone and they are over priced! They start by giving you this ridiculous price then putting a spin on how you can bring down the cost! Company not trustworthy!Review fromTim R

2 starsI had a fence installed in 2020, when design and construction was started it was to be property line to property line. Once construction was started the team worked quickly and efficiently to put up fence, I was not there and when I returned home the person there told me that they had to make changes to design. Due to a sewer cover causing a deflection of fence line into neighbor's yard which I was told would require city approval and property assessment to move into neighbor's yard. Then I was supposed to get a gate which was forgotten but Midtown refunded me for not getting the gate. Now my HOA has come after my fence design not being to the specification that was designed by Midtown, so now I have to get the fence changed or get fined by HOA. So, I reached out to Midtown, and I was given an email to someone who would be able to help. I have sent emails and have made calls, only to be told that they are behind due to backed up work. But no return calls and returned emails, I have come to write a complaint. All I need is to have the fence moved or corrected per HOA complaint and have sewer incorporated into my yard.Review fromKatie M

Midtown home improvements is a good company that does things the right way. ******* came to our door and was respectful and friendly. We agreed to meet with project managers, ***** and ******* and these young men know what they're about! 1 starI contracted with Midtown Home Improvements last summer to rebuild my desk and install a new sliding glass door. The salesman who came by assured me I would be very happy with the results and that the job was not finished until I was 100% satisfied. Well, I am not 100% satisfied! The deck looks nice and we are very happy with it. The sliding glass door, however is not finished. The salesman apparently did not write down where the new door should open. No one called us to ask which side the door should open. When it was being installed, as soon as I noticed it would open on the right side, I tried to tell the contractor, but he did not speak English and I did not speak Spanish. He just said it had to be that way. So I contacted Midtown and told them the door should open on the left, not the right. After a while, they relented and ordered me a new door. Let me say at this point that these doors are very expensive...so I should have what I thought i was ordering. The new door came and the same contractor came out, tore out the other door and installed the new one. We still have 3 problems with it: we did not get our storm door that should have come with it and that the contractor said would have to be special ordered; the lock locks in a screwy way...up instead of down; and when the door is opened, it sounds like there is a piece of paper still stuck somewhere. I texted "*******" several times and never heard back. I called the office one day and was eventually cut off before I spoke to anyone, so I called back the next day, left a voice mail for the *** who has never called me back. This is very frustrating and I will never use this company again...BUT I WANT MY SCREEN DOOR!!Review fromThomas J

What a horrible experience. They tell you they have exclusivity on their products and they dont. They start with one price lower three times and when you say no, then somebody else will call from an office reschedule the meeting and offer you an even lower price. Not the kind of people I want to do business with.Midtown Home Improvements Inc.
