12-4-23 I went for a oil H31**313038363137**32H @H32343336313234**3438H ******************************************************** Cost $95.65 12-21-23 I had an oil spot under my vehicle which I investigated by going under my vehicle & found it to be an oil leak. I returned to H333833****3531313431H on ************************** I spoke to a Tech & advised of an oil leak. They viewed underneath checking for a leak. Said there was no leak & took a few pictures. At that point the conversation got a little heated between me & the Crew Leader. The Area Mgr was in the facility & didn&#**;t want him involved. The **** was not handled professionally. They asked me not to come back there. I left my name & phone#@ ************ with & not one called me back. I left & went to another Midas & told them I was leaking oil. The plug gadget was not put in at H333833****3531313431H originally. . The did another oil chg costing $80.61.

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with an area manager about my issue (leaking oil) and he did nothing to resolve the situation. Will a different manager be reviewing this matter? Either you are in the business of providing quality service to your customers or just taking their money with poor service and kicking them down the road. Please note: The problem isn't whether I paid for the service but the quality of service and how a company resolve issues with their service.

Per the district manager - This customer came back to the shop 12-21-2023 around **** hours and was out of control. He was asked to leave and was extremely vulgar and was threatening our staff. I was there doing my QA and had to step in and speak to the customer. I advised him to leave or we would call the police and I advised him not to return to this Take 5 or any Take 5. There were no signs of oil leaking and he was plug tight filter tight.

I had my oil changed at Take 5 ***** *********. A few weeks after having oil changed my vehicle began making a knocking sound, a few days later I noticed oil covering the ground in my driveway. Had my vehicle towed to Dodge. After doing diagnostic check on my vehicle I was asked who changed my oil last because it was almost completely empty and had caused major damage to the motor and cost for repair is right at $5k. I filed a claim with take 5 on 11/8 and after numerous visits/phone calls and emails to Take 5 , I finally received information from their claims department on 12/27 that my claim was denied because my type of vehicle is known to experience these type of issues. It took 7 weeks for them to make this determination with nothing to back up their claim. I have lost out on several thousands of dollars from missed travel assignments due to no transportation . DO NOT patronize this business. I am not being faced with either putting $5k into my vehicle or now having to buy a new car and getting into another car note when my vehicle was paid in full. This has been a complete nightmare!!!

I went to get an oil change December 10th 2023 to make sure my car was okay for me to get on the road to go back home on the holidays. When I got on the road December 23rd 2023 I was on the road for an hour and the engine light came on and the car started shaking really bad so I pulled over and checked everything and the engine was shaking really bad. So my dad got the car towed and since it was the holidays we werent able to look at it until Tuesday December 27th 2023. My dad checked the oil and there was no oil in the car and the oil stick was stained to where it says full. I called Take 5 Oil Change where I have been getting my oil changed at to see what happened. They said it was most likely my engine with the type I have but I never had this problem before with my car and no one else has ever said anything like that. So we watched the cameras to see if everything was done correctly and it was. So the Take 5 oil change employees came out to look at my car and they said I have three different oil leaks and had them since my last oil change but I was never informed that by the employees doing my oil change and on the receipt in small print it says Major ** and they pointed that out and said that means ********* leaks.I dont understand why the employees continue to change my oil and not making me as a customer aware of the oil leak. But why would you keep putting oil in my car if the leaks are that major to where it would cause it to damage my engine. Since the oil leaks are leaking from the top into the engine my spark plugs went bad and the car is not working and the engine has gone bad. I was not notified that it was an oil leak the leaks got worse and damaged the car. I called corporate and Im still waiting on a call back. The repairs are expensive. The car couldve stopped in the middle of the interstate or even caught on fire. This is causing me to pay for rental and having extra costs for repairs that couldve been avoided. I need my engine replaced.

Take 5 Oil Change damaged and broke my oil gasket during a routine oil change like they have done to so may other customers in ******* at the ********* location and are refusing to take culpability for it. This review is for the antagonistic, racist, misogynistic "district manager" that I encountered on 12/11.Went in on 11/2 for my original oil change. After over an hour wait, they did the oil change and did not put the oil plug in place correctly. This is now causing oil to leak out all over my engine, causing thick black clouds of smoke to ****** from my engine every time I drive, pull up to valet or stop anywhere. In addition, thick black smoke with a dirty oil smell is now filling the cabin of my 2015 *** X3, causing me to drive with the windows and sunroof open to keep the smell and the smoke out.I revisited Take 5 on 12/11/2023 to get the situation fixed according to their fraudulent "30-day policy". The "district manager for over an hour was rude, hostile, racist, antagonistic and attempted to make me think that I had done something to my own car!! From making derogatory comments about me buying a "used car" (mind you that never had one issue until I went to this location), to making discussing derogatory comment about my car being over 100K miles (yet running better than most new cars to asking me if I was a driver for Uber and LYFT?? REALLY???After all that he decided that Take 5 had no culpability and that they had fixed my car properly. Even while the engine was clearly SMOKING IN HIS FACE!!!! LOL!!!I'm going to take my car to the dealership and 2 other reputable *** mechanics in *******, get the repairs done, then Take 5 will be seeing me in Harris County small claims court and yes, I have all receipts. The very rude district manager can thank himself for the worst customer service ever. Hopefully that ************************ of nonsense he thought he was going to put me through was worth it!!

The 1st oil change was completed with no process missed. 2nd oil changes the *** completed the oil again by herself and cleaned the skid plate and changed the drain plug gasket and add new oil as well. Then on 12/11 customer returns to shop. I was visiting the shop at the time she came in so I went ahead to check the vehicle and took Pic of the leak. the oil is along the right side of the vehicle away from the oil filter which was tight, and the drain plug tight which had no oil leaking from it. The oil is leaking from the valve cover and dripping down to on to the exhaust which is why it has the burning oil smell. This vehicle was over heating which she fails to tell that when I try to add her coolant to the vehicle. I cracked open the coolant cap then pressure was being released. After a few second the coolant starts to bubble up so then I re-secured the coolant cap gave her the coolant back. I explain that based on the evidence and the age and mileage on the vehicle this wound not fall in claim take 5 will not be responsible.

On 12/12/2023, I went for an oil change in my **** Explorer. During my service, the manager (?) told me that I also needed my air filter replaced so I approved a replacement. After 5 minutes of checking for one he said they didn't have one to fit my car. I asked him to show me exactly where it was located and that I would order one and replace it myself. He said OK and as I walked to the front of my car I noticed that they had used a stick /rod of wood/rebar to hold my hood up. Not sure why b/c my hood arm works just fine. The stick/rod was placed in the area of my hood latch. When I was told to start my car and drive out, my dashboard alerted that the hood was 'AJAR'. So I pulled out and immediately stopped just outside the bay and pulled my hood release and reclosed the hood making sure it was completely closed. The icon was still on and my dash read, 'HOOD AJAR'. I got the manager's attention and he came over to see what I needed. I told him the problem I was having and that when I arrived I had nothing wrong with my hood. He told me to go to **** and they would reset the sensor. I left and spoke with **** and they said it costs app. $380 to fix. I returned to the shop and asked the manager if this is a common practice to hold a hood up with a stick and he said 'YES'. Because of the damage they caused in the hood release sensors, my car is screwed. I can't properly set my alarm and all functions that allow the car to run once all openings are secure are not working. I filed a complaint after app 20 calls to their pathetic customer service and no one called as promised, I have left countless messages and tried calling every number on the internet with zero success. Please help me reach an upper-level manager so that my car can get fixed. I am amazed that a business like this is allowed to still operate. The manager at the location is of no help. Also there is a VERY young boy there filling air which was also messed up 38,36,39 & 31psi

BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! They did my oil change on 12/13/23 and charged me $113.62, when I left home the next morning oil had leaked on my drive way. When I left work that evening, oil was everywhere! Puddles on the ground and all over my engine. I am typing this a week later because I filed a claim with Take 5's insurance, they had to tow my car, and I have been waiting 7 days without a vehicle for them to review this claim. I just found out this morning they DENIED it. Unacceptable, the manager even told me she believed this damage was caused by the oil change technician. She told me I am the 4th car this week they have messed up. She also told me the technician did not use the correct tool when tightening my oil filter which could have caused it to be overtightened. The diagnostic test done by **** stated the oil filter was overtightened causing the crack in the oil cooler. Now they won't take responsibility for their damages and I am having to pay for the tow and $1400 because they over tightened the oil filter and cracked my oil cooler. Now I also have to pay for another oil change, the tow and the repairs to my car over $1400.

First of all, this is NOT the correct location of the business. This occurred at the ********* **** location @ *******************************. It is a new location that just opened. So, I went there for an oil change and Collant Flush on my radiator on 12/02/2023. I drove the car for a week, and all seemed fine. I was driving on the highway on 12/10/2023 and all of the sudden my car started smoking and overheating. I pulled over and opened the hood and coolant was spraying everywhere. I looked around and found there was a pair of vice grips on the radiator hose. I removed them and started driving again and it still was overheating. I sat on the side of the highway for a long time to let the car cool down. I then drove in the emergency lane to the next exit. I got to a gas station and bought some coolant. I reopened the hood and there was much more light as it was dark out. I found I had no radiator cap on the radiator. Upon further investigation I found the radiator cap and another tool sitting up by my windshield under the hood. I put the coolant in the car and replaced the cap on the radiator. Grabbed the left-over tools and was able to get back on the road. I contacted the shop the next day and they looked everything over and topped off the coolant. They stated they were going to refund my money and were very apologetic. My issue is that I have not received a refund yet and no one will contact me. I have called, no one answers the phone, I have written to the company for help, I have left messages on the customer service line. I have not heard anything. I talked to the manager (*************) when I stopped there again, and she said she is waiting on approval for the refund. That was a week ago, I stopped again yesterday, and she had already left for the day. I think this is carelessness on the companies' part, horrible customer service and I worry for any other vehicle being serviced there as what I went through was unsafe and completely negligent on the shops part.

On 9/30/23 had the oil changed and an air filter replaced in my ******* 10/1 drove to ************* **. Engine was chugging, cruise control shut off, check ***************** control lights came on but made it to my destination. 10/4 while heading home car stalled & shut off completely in middle of 4-lane road. Check charging system light came on. Put car in park, restarted engine, pulled into gas station, called tow truck & was towed to ******************* arriving 5 minutes before service station closed. Had to rent car & *********/5 service center sent video of vehicle inspection/diagnostic test, revealing system lean bank 1/system lean bank 2 & found fuel trim really high indicating vacuum leak. Take 5 Oil Change forgot to reconnect intake hose which caused a large vacuum leak for the engine which created the system to run lean on bank 1. Once they reconnected the hose, tested & drove car the fuel trim returned to normal. 10/7 went to Take 5 & explained what happened. ****, 1 of 2 individuals who serviced car week before, told me they recorded all their services. He went in his shop viewed video & saw they did not reconnect intake hose. Immediately called his manager & came back to me & promptly pointed out the disclaimer on their receipt explaining why they were not at fault. He told me it was possible that his manager would reimburse me for diagnostic test but they would not reimburse me for car rental or hotel & said I could reach out to corporate office. He told me he did not want to lose me as a customer & stated he would give me my next oil change ( or possibly 2 or 3) for free. I called corporate number on 3 different occasions; 10/11, 10/23 & 11/1, left messages each time & NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK! 11/4 went back to Take 5 Oil Change in ********* & explained & **** said he was sorry & they were not able to reimburse me for anything. Oil change/air filter replacement cost ****** & their error cost me an additional ******. Seeking reimbursement.
