Received an Oil Change on 10/21 in the evening around 5pm at Shop #** at **** ***************** over 20 minutes because they lost my screws and elected to zip tie my skid plate on without notifying me. Less than 150 miles afterwards the skid plate partially detached, and was tracking on the ground. This was in the middle of rural *****, and I had to pay someone to attach it at a local shop.I called **************** on 10/25. They told me that only the *************** Manager could issue a refund and order a new part if it is damaged and they would be in touch within 48 hours. They weren't in touch within 48 hours, I reached back out to **************** and had to leave a voicemail on 10/27.Ticket Number ******.

Summary of Incident:On Sep 5, 2023 at 4:32 pm; I had an Oil Change and Radiator Coolant flush completed at Take 5 Oil Change at **** FM ********, **.On Sep 6, 2023 at approximately 1pm with less than 20 miles driven on the truck, I noticed fluid pouring out of the bottom. An area manager from Take 5 arrived at my location with a tech and they had my truck towed to a local shop; what I later found out was (Shorts Garage). They also provided me with a ride home. They have kept my truck for almost 60 day and had their mechanic take my engine apart. On 10/24/2023, I get a letter from *******************; stating after his investigation no evidence states any wrongdoing on behalf of take 5 However; The Mechanic that they hired to look at the truck has a different opinion. ( Take 5 choose this mechanic ) has stated to me that he believes that Take 5 caused the damage. My truck was operating perfectly fine; within 20 miles of heading a radiator flush; I had radiator fluid pouring out of my truck and cracked head gaskets. My additional evidence is a recording of the mechanic ***** from Shorts Garage telling me that Take 5 damaged my vehicle and that they applied to much air pressure to my engine when flushing out the system and that he has had to fix other vehicles from the same location for the same reason.

I am rejecting this response because: Take 5 dispatched 2 employees to the location that my vehicle had been pouring out radiator fluid, after getting a radiator flush at one of their locations. The 2 employees had my vehicle towed to an automotive repair shop (Shorts Garage).  The mechanic that they hired to take apart my engine and investigate the cause of the problem; stated in the Technician Discovery:  " Radiator was flushed at to high of PSI that made head gasket leak coolant into the exhaust; will need new motor and turbo"

This is the mechanic that they chose; to send my truck too; I found out the location of my truck through a text message from the manager.  There have been other vehicles that have had the same issue when getting a radiator flush from this location. I also have a video of a truck that had a radiator flush weeks before mine and the customer went through the same issue.

Attached is the receipt for a radiator flush then the next day, 2 employees from Take 5 had my truck towed to ( Shorts Garage ) the mechanic at Shorts Garage have provided documentation that Take 5 caused the damage to my engine.

Also attached is the text message from the manager giving me the location of my vehicle, after they towed it from the site where it was leaking coolant.

Date of service was 10-18-2023 We took our car in for a quick oil change at take 5 oil in ******** off *********** and *********************. when the employee broke off a part to drain the oil. They claimed it was a manufacturer issue but we have had oil changes before and never had any issues. The employee said they need to contact corporate. We gave them the opportunities to do the right thing and gave them a day and that they would do the the right thing and communicate with us by fixing the problem. The next day we went back and they refused to do anything about it. We had to hire tow truck and replace the parts and labor at our own expense. The manager refused to provide us with his bosses number or corporate number.

On October 9th, 2023 i went to the take 5 oil change place located at ********************************************************************. While there i got new wiper blades installed, new cabin filter, new oil filter and an oil change. 9 days later i was driving home and heard a noise, got home and slept for the night. The next morning i go to my car and see a pool of oil in my driveway. I drive my car to the nearest take 5 to me and they discover the drain plug in my car has fallen out. This means my car has been drove WITHOUT oil in it. Dreading the worst i took my car to my ***** dealership where they did an extensive inspection. Thankfully there wasn't any damage BUT it took 2 days and 690 dollars to figure this out. On top of that, being without a car i had to get a rental. I believe that take 5 should fully reimburse me for my bill at the dealership AND the rental since i only had to get these things done DUE to their improper job performance. I tried calling them, left a message with the call center AND their customer support but no one has reached back out to me.

I took my vehicle to be serviced at take 5 oil change on 10/13/2023 on ************ ******* **.. After receiving the oil change my vehicle started stalling and broke down before I could even get home. I had to leave my vehicle in a parking lot and catch a ride back to the take 5 location that I had just left from . Upon arrival an employee greeted me and asked what was wrong because they had just seen me there. She went with me back to my vehicle location and saw all the oil leaking out my vehicle on the ground. I spoke to the district manager ********************* and they had my car towed back to the capital blvd location. He stated it was nothing they did that made all the oil run out of my engine so I asked him for a professional diagnostic. It has been a week now and they had my car towed to meineke on capital blvd I have waiting on my diagnostic and still havent received it . I went to meineke today and they gave me a estimate and said that take 5 wasnt responsible for the damages and when I called to make a formal complaint I found that the company that owns take5 is the same company that owns meineke. I just want my car back running in its original condition before I had it serviced with them.

      Business Response

We had this customers vehicle towed to a repair facility and they found that the oil cooler has failed at no fault of the shop. this was not caused by the oil change.

I am rejecting this response because:
I asked that take five get my vehicle diagnosed through Dodge the manufacture take five and Meineke are owned by the same company. Dodge is the manufacturer of my vehicle, and they are not a part of take five I need an unbiased opinion and diagnostic. Can you tell me how it is really occurred I've sent multiple receipts where  snappy lube change my oil with no complications.
The very first time I go to take five all the oil came out my engine and is gone.

On 10/13/23 took my car for an oil change. Left the facility and my car kept dying. Engine light was on. Made it back to Take 5. They towed it to dealership. The dealership ran a diagnostic check ($165). Take 5 overfilled the oil. They refused to pay the dealership claiming it wasnt their fault. I emailed the company but no response.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/30/2023

When this guest came in with their issue, we had them take it to the dealership to have it looked at and informed them that if it was not our fault, they would be responsible for paying for anything required to fix the vehicle. Prior to sending them to the dealership we did a claim investigation and noted the oil was at the proper level for the vehicle.

After the dealership looked at the vehicle, they called us and told us that we were not responsible for what was going on with the vehicle.

A few hours later the dealership called us and told us that it was our fault because we "overfilled" the oil. Given the fact we had already checked the oil level and verified it was safe, combined with the fact that the dealership had already told us it was not our fault we elected not to pay for what was going on. All of this was communicated to both the dealership and the guest.

I received an oil change from Take 5 in *****. When I left the service, I noticed almost immediately there was a flapping sound underneath my car while in motion. When I got home, I checked under the car, and it appeared to me they did not reattach the plastic plate that needs undone when changing the oil and allowed me to drive away with it undone. I returned to the shop and asked them to inspect the issue, and they confirmed yes, they had failed to reattach the plate, however, that they had thrown out the hardware and did not have the ability to reattach it. They tried to wedge it into place best they could, but without the hardware, the plate quickly came undone, and has been dragging on the ground and becoming mangled. I have placed 2 emails requesting customer service assistance with this issue. They claim to respond within one business day, however I have never received a response. I tried their live agent chat, to which I never received a response. I also tried calling their customer service line, and was sent to voicemail, to which I left a detailed message. I'm frustrated because now I'm going to have to front the cost of replacing this plate, when it never should have been an issue, and I can't seem to get ahold of anyone from customer service at their business to assist me. This skid plate is what protects vital parts of the car, and will end up costing me even more than just replacement costs if it damages other parts of the engine, etc, so this is a frustrating error on their part.

10/13/23 at around 2pm I brought my car in for a routine oil change and shortly after leaving my car was driving strange. (Jerking, having trouble shifting gears, stalling, felt like the transmission was slipping) As soon as this started I went straight back to Take 5 where they told me that sounded like a transmission problem and they dont do transmissions which I already was aware of. They told me to pull my car back into the bay and they would see what may be going on. They said my transmission fluid was completely empty even though I have never had any issues with the transmission or a leak previously. Which shows that they drained the transmission fluid instead of the oil and overfilled the engine oil. They filled the transmission up and I headed home. Once I was almost back to my house the same issues started again and my car is now unable to be driven. I have this incident documented on the receipt. I have not had my car towed or any repairs done at this time because I cannot afford it and I dont want to void the Take 5 warranty without their inspection first.

Went to this place to get an oil change and I believe I never got an oil change. I'm pretty sure they took all the old oil from my car and left me running dry. My dip stick is completely dry and I literally had to replace the oil myself today. My car has been giving me the low oil sign and the oil is running is running hot sign so I checked it last night. It was so bad, the mechanic told me not to run the car. I got this oil change less than a month ago, my car has never leaked oil.

      Business Response

We have sent this claim to be investigated by **************. They have found that  got an oil change and left. While driving the
low oil alert came on and the son brought the vehicle back to the Take 5 locaOon. While back at take 5 they checked the
oil levels and even showed the claimants son that the oil level was perfectly normal.
Later on the vehicles engine seized and the vehicle is no longer drivable, needing a complete engine rebuilt.
Other facts to this loss are that upon iniOally coming to Take 5 there was a Cam ShaO sensor alert on in the vehicle. Also,
when we sent PDA out to look at the vehicle we found that the oil levels remained perfectly normal. They also noted
that vehicles ba?ery is now dead as well.
It seems that there are some pre-exisOng and or other issues going on with this vehicle that were not caused by the oil
change service provided by Take 5.
