      I visited the Take 5 on **************** on Aug 4 for an oil change. Multiple employees came by at least once to check my air filter and other fluids.When I started my car after the oil change, I noticed several lights on my dashboard including the check engine, traction control and parking brake.These lights were not on when I entered the shop so I showed one of the employees the lights. He said that he didn't know what to do. I told him that somebody at their shop did something and I asked him if he wanted to take another look to make sure everything was put back properly. He declined and told me the problem was my fault. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me there wasnt a manager. I asked what can be done and he said nothing.It was obvious that Take 5 did something to my car or didnt put everything back properly so I drove the vehicle to Christian ******** repair facility close by. In order to pull the codes and see what the source of the problem is, they charged me $136.82 as a diagnostic fee. The fault codes were related to the air flow sensor. Christian ******** noticed that the air filter housing was not put back properly, which was causing the problem. They put the housing back correctly and everything worked. The invoice from Christian ******** and the print out of the fault codes are attached.I went back to the Take 5 and finally talked to the store manager. I explained the situation, showed him the docs and requested a refund that Christian ******** charged me because it was one of his employees that messed up.He said ok and then entered a ticket internally to process the refund. A couple of days later I received a call from a gentleman named ***** who asked if I would e-mail him the documents and I did on Aug 9. I did not receive any response from ***** and have not received my refund. I sent ***** a follow up e-mail on September 30 but did not receive any response and I still have not received my refund.

      On Sunday 10/8 i took my car for an oil change at Take 5 oil on *************** in ************, **. When the service was finished everything looked fine and I left. Later that evening, while leaving for work i noticed there was a puddle of oil in my drive way. On Monday 10/9 I took my vehicle back to the same location I got the oil change done and the manager ****** said it mustve been a cracked oil pan but he and his coworker ***** supposedly fixed it. It was not fixed. I was told tow the car back to the initial location but because of the situation i declined and took it to a different location on Edgewood Ave. As of today 10/11 it is at the St.***** location while the situation is under investigation however they are still trying to deny liability I was told to wait for a phone call and i havent heard from anyone yet. What was supposed to be a **** minute oil change has turned into a 3 day inconvenience and myself without transportation.

      I had my oil changed on 9/22 and my truck is leaking oil so bad there's only 9% left and has caused jerking issues with the transmission. This oil change was at the Take 5 location in ***********, **.

      I got an oil change at take 5. My drain plug was not properly put back in and it eventually came loose on the road. I lost all my oil and now have to replace my engine. I have attempted to contact them many times but it only goes to a voicemail. I have left messages but have not received any contact back. My quote for a new engine is $18,000 and they are liable for it ** they incorrectly put the drain plug in

      On 09/05/2023 my wife took our 2020 ***** CRV to Take 5 (**** *********************, ************************, OH *****) for a routine oil change. After she left the location, I later observed that the air dam on the vehicle was dangling. Upon closer inspection as to why, it became evident that the splash guard had never been replaced following the oil change. This lead to the air dam not being correctly attached, dragging on the ground, and becoming damaged.We contacted the location and spoke with ****** *************). He stated he would try to locate a replacement splash guard and update us soon. After a week of no updates, we once again called ****** who stated he was having trouble tracking down the part locally but that he would call us as soon as he had confirmed a replacement. It is now two weeks later and we still have yet to have received a single call from *************This is not only poor service, it is theft. Our vehicle came in with a part that the location did not replace. Fair compensation includes refund of original service fee and provision of missing splash guard. In reality, a new air dam should also be provided as the one on our vehicle has been damaged due to not having been properly secured by the splash guard that the site did not replace.After (a) not being advised of any issues during the oil change and (b) not receiving a single call back on the matter, we can only assume the site has no interest in setting the situation right and thus are filing this formal complaint.

      I am rejecting this response because: Reached out again and no return call.......I called the shop yesterday to make sure my engine splash shield was there, since I am currently 4 hours away.......I spoke to *********************** and recorded the conversation.....****** claimed the splash shield was not there but it could be, he also said it isn't important and sometimes the hardware cant be replaced.......****** also said he would relay the message to ****** and I would receive a call back that day.......Once again no call back or voicemail.....I left my number.....

      On May 30th 2023, I took my 2018 Dodge Journey for an oil change. After completion of the **b, I went on with my business. A few days after receiving the oil change, I noticed oil in my driveway. I proceeded to look under the car and notice oil slowly leaking from the oil plug underneath the vehicle. After checking the oil dipstick, I realized that the oil was dangerously low and it would not be suitable nor safe to drive to the store to get this error fixed. The store sent one of their employees to fix the issue and replace lost oil.By June 2nd, the oil leak returned. I took the vehicle to the original store to get the problem fixed yet again. Upon arriving at the location, an employee commented how the could see oil leaking from car as I was pulling up.The manager (********?) Assure me that the issue would be fixed this time by his technicians.Unfortunately he was wrong and on August 1st, i had to return for yet another leak. This time the manager yet again sais he would personally fix the issue and that he garuntees with the new plug installed that there would ** longer be a leak.Here we are, Oct ********* have another leak.Calling the Take 5 district number to file a complaint on the store, I was greeted by a very rude and highly unprofessional representative who en**yed interrupted me and informed me that I need to take my car back the the store for a 4th time to hope they do the **b right this time. After I insist she send the district manager an email to contact me, she proceeded to hang up on me with so much professionalism. This has been a constant and ongoing ththing. I would take the vehicle to another oil change place, but they shouldn't have to be responsible for Take 5's error or try to have to fix their error if they even would.The practices of this store are unsafe. A vehicle without oil can cause an engine to seize, causing hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to replace the engine and fix a vehicle. Not to mention. The safety aspects.

      On the 27th of September I came in and got an oil H3139313038**31373932H from the Take 5 #** location .. Ive driven my car all week with out any engine issues at all Ive just recently this month had my transmission oil H3139313038**31373932Hd and checked and needed only an oil H3139313038**31373932H which I was due for.. I was heading out of town to ********** ** to attend a wedding rehearsal the next day.. after having my oil H3139313038**31373932Hd the next day I started heading out big town and when I got off Independence hwy my car immediately starting smoking and overheating and idling extremely high the car had zero power and the car would just idle high.. I pulled over because of the smoking engine along exit 264 Monroe/Concord .. I have strong reason to believe that my car was negligibly serviced and that the transmission oil was drained along with the changing of the oil.. I did not ask for the transmission oil to be H3139313038**31373932Hd just the oil because I just had the transmission oil H3139313038**31373932Hd..please contact me as soon as possible to rectify this gross negligence..I had to pay $384.00 for tow service and had just put 2 tires on my car in preparation for the 3 hr trip.. *** left numerous messages with the representative Its been days now and no one has contacted me from the store location .. Ive also noticed that there are numerous complaints and reviews on the page as to where other customers have complained about the gross negligence of take 5 any where from loud party like etiquette ******** the lack of attention to detail etc.. I am a **************** Combat Veteran and the service was not up to standard again contact me as soon as possible to address this problem

      May of 2023 I took my 2006 audi a4 quattro avant in to take five on **** in *********************** ***.. paid their premium for the full synthetic oil change. It took them an unusual amount of time to complete the service due to a trainee being tasked with the job. The trainee got other technicians including the manager involved and my concerns were met with the assurance that management had a grasp on the situation. Technically wasn't due for an oil change but I was departing that evening bound for ****** ***** which would have put the mileage over ***** before return would be complete. Stopped at home, loaded my bags, and set out for *****. At around 100 miles (*********) the red check engine light and alarm chime began frantically sounding. I immediately let off the gas, pulled off at nearest exit and before I got my window down I could hear the God awful sound emanating from the engine compartment. Guided by logic, I checked for fill cap, drain plug, and dipstick. Both cap and plug were in place but dipstick was not giving a clear reading so I started the engine and limped it to the motel at the exit I'd pulled off on.(let's just say the motel was not a safe place, there were literally crackhead in the parking lot fighting over money) of course they didn't allow dogs so my dog had to sleep in the car which was the cause of a huge headache the entire night. First thing in the morning I contacted their "customer service" line who in turn eventually sent me a wrecker who took me to the nearest take 5 on *************** in mobile. Technician eventually comes to the conclusion that there are well over 8 quarts of oil in my engine that is max ******** 5.5. He drains the pan, refills the oil I start the engine . Noise stops for maybe a quarter mile. It's 100 degrees out, I pull right back in. Tell them it's not fixed. They left me un the lot unable to run my ac with my poor dog in the car. Nobody returns to assist. I ended up paying 600$ to have it towed home. 150 to shp

      The facts of this claims denial are as follows:
      After inspection and camera review we could not find root cause to determine that Take 5 is at fault for the issues the vehicle is experiencing. Vehicle was evacuated and all notations were made in profile and presented to customer upon service. Correct amount of oil was brought out to vehicle and poured in, safety was performed and customer was shown dipstick to verify you are satisfied with the level and visual of your oil upon leaving.

      The engine failure cause has not been determined - The facility where the vehicle repairs were completed was unable to diagnose the cause of the vehicles engine failure. No factual evidence from a qualified service provider has been presented to Take 5 to show workmanship cause or any other causation related to the recent oil change service at Take 5.

      CarFax *************** history shows vehicle maintenance was not done at regular mileage intervals per manufacture recommendations.

      We take all customers concerns seriously and conduct thorough investigations based on facts and evidence. The facts presented do not support a conclusion that Take 5 is at fault for the issues you are experiencing.       Went in to get an oil change, end of July 2023. In the end of August the 22nd specifically my husband who was driving my car had to pull over on the side of the highway (the check engine light and low oil light came on) after waiting for the engine to cool down he checked the oil to find none in the car. He called take 5 to tell them once he got oil he would be bring it to them. Z at the store informed my husband that they did not change the gasket on the oil plug, and to take my car to a Mechanic to get it checked to see if there was motor damage. Once at the mechanic they informed as we needed a new motor. We called take 5, a new stor manager ****** took over. She informed me she was speaking to a district manager. And that we had to have a third party Inspector come out and look at the car. Is my cars been setting at the mechanic for a week. I've been told by both employees that they were replace the motor in my car. ****** has now stopped taking my phone calls. I was informed that she won't be back in the shop for a week. When I asked Z after I called take 5. He said that there's nothing new that he can tell me about my vehicle. It's now October 4th the incident occurred on the 22nd of September. There has been no inspector scheduled to look at my car. The mechanic shops that I use Has informed me that I have to put a new motor in my car. But there was sut on cylinders two four, and six Meaning that the engine ran too hot with no oil.

      On 06/28/2023 ***************************** became a new customer of ********************** at *************************************************************. Her keyed mileage at that time was at ****** miles. She received a full oil change of 5 qts of Duramax full synthetic 0w-20. Her next visit was on 08/31/2023 asking for our free top off service which covers 3 months or ***** miles whichever comes first and her mileage was then keyed at ****** past the top off service mileage. At this time the customer had exceeded the limitations of our warranty of work which is ***** miles or 30 days from the oil change (printed on receipt and covered with customer) and the courtesy top off but as an added courtesy we provided her a free top off service. She received 2 qts of oil at that time free of charge and indicated no issues with her car. Her last visit with us was on 09/22/2023 and she had reported having trouble with the vehicle and again as a courtesy our technicians drained her oil, replaced ********, and replaced her oil with 5qts of Duramax full synthetic extended life 0w-20 free of charge to the customer. At this time thousands of miles have been driven and over 3 months have past since the customer's paid transaction with us. We strive to always do what is right by our customers and go the extra mile. We've provided multiple courtesies to try and best accommodate the customer but have not been able to succeed unfortunately.
