July 15 I went to Take 5 oil change to have my ***** 2020 ********* changed. Prior to this day on July 13th I spoke to a ******************************** on the phone regarding the price for a ***************** change. He quoted me $36.99. He sent me a $15 coupon on me email. He said a ************ change normally is $51.99 and with this $15 coupon it would cost me $36.99. Saturday morning I roll into Take 5 to get this oil change. As the gentleman is under my car releasing the old oil the other gentleman is gathering my personal information. At this point he informs me my oil change will cost $96.99. At this point I told him I had gotten a quote from ********************* for $36.99. He informed me ********************* works at a call center, and they were sorry but I would have to pay the full price. They did give me a $15 coupon, but the price for the oil change was $81.93. This includes tax. And disposable charge. I asked to speak to ********************* but they informed me that is was not at this store. The gentleman that I spoke to said they were getting a lot of complaints about the price situation, but there was nothing they could do. They could not honor my quoted price. I dont feel I should pay for the mistakes that the call center makes. They have you over a barrel when you have a gentleman underneath your car letting your oil out and another gentleman collecting the money!Business Response

I have had two oil changes on my vehicle since I bought it. Both oil changes were done by Take5. On March 17, 2023. I went to the Take5 location on ***** in ************ *******. I paid $95.95 for a oil change. Everything seemed fine and I left. Then on June 17, 2023. I proceeded to go back to the Take5 location in Newport Richy ******* where I had my oil changed the first time. They denied my service due to the other Take5 location in ************ ruining my oil pan drain plug and replacing it with a nut and bolt. The Take5 location in ******************** told me they know for 100% fact it was not like that when I came in the first time because they would have denied my service then. Then I went to ******* to try to get a oil change and they denied my service for the same reason. For over 10days I tried to contact take5 through their website using their customer service number and email. I left numerous voice messages and also emails with nothing in return. I was then contacted by ***************************** who is the district manager for that store. At first he told me to get a estimate, then he told me he would split the cost with me, and then changed it and told me he couldnt do anything for me because he couldnt pull the video surveillance from that far back. This has nothing to do with their warranty because they jammed something in my oil pan that was not there before and they are refusing to fix my vehicle and also contact me back. I cant even go anywhere to get a oil change because nobody will touch my vehicle due to what this Take5 location used as a drain plug. All I want is this problem fixed. This company has numerous bad reviews for things of this nature and worse. *** asked for ***************************** superiors email address in which he refused to give me. I tried taking the proper steps up the ladder and Mr. *************************** is refusing to give me any contact information for whoever is above himBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:
This store location in ************ must have either stripped my oil pan drain plug or broke it or something and they jammed that nut and bolt in there and didnt tell me anything about it. So any normal person is not going to climb underneath their car to check a drain plug if there is no problems. My car was not leaking oil or anything to where I would go underneath it to check. The warranty that they are talking about should be **** and void it due to the fact that they put something in there that did not belong there and did not make me aware. My car takes full synthetic oil so its not required to be changed every **** miles and thats why it had been almost **** miles since my oil change however, I did attempt to get my oil change done on the date that they put on the sticker in my window. Also, I attempted to contact the corporate office through emails and phone calls starting on 6/17/23. the reason for that was because I was traveling for Fathers Day to go see my father and I ran into this problem and Take5 in ********************** stated it definitely wasnt like that when you came in for your first oil change because we would have denied your service then also so after 10 days of trying to contact them and driving over 100 miles one way to see my father and then back definitely put more mileage on the car. However, the issue I have is the fact that they stuck a aftermarket part in my car and did not tell me and the part that they put in there is preventing me from going anywhere to get a oil change. Nobody will do a oil change on my car because they say its a liability because of this. All Im asking for is my oil pan to be replaced. I have a mechanic who will replace the oil pan and put a new filter and new oil for right around $600. That is all Im asking for.Business Response

I took my vehicle in for an oil change early May. The employee asked if we would like to do a coolant flush as there was a discount going on and I said yes. As they were doing the coolant flush him and another employee seemed confused of the process and then proceeded to tell me the coolant was going in slowly but that I should be okay to leave. They allowed me to leave with an unsafe coolant level for my vehicle and it overheated while going home. I stopped at another take 5 location and they redid the entire coolant flush process again. I stopped in a third time to get another coolant top off as it continued to over heat. By the 4th time it did this I took it in to the shop Take 5 works with. The vehicle has been over heating ever and giving me problems ever since. I have called the business multiple times and they are starting to ignore my calls or tell me that I will be receiving a call from a manager and I have yet to hear anything. I have even gone in person looking for the manager and they are never in any of the 3 locations here in *********. My vehicle has been in the shop out of commission for nearly a month now and I have no answers given to me about the repair or mistake they did allowing me to leave the shop with my coolant at an unsafe level causing my vehicle to overheat and burst the water pump. I do not believe that take 5 and the shop they work with are wanting to take responsibility for their mistakes as it was the first day the employees at that shop were left alone.Customer Answer

Good Morning,
This customer had a coolant service done on their vehicle, and ***** miles later and over a month later she contacted us letting us know that her vehicle was overheating. She took it to a mechanic and they told her that her the issue is the water pump. The spoke to the mechanic that was working on her car and he told me that us doing a coolant service would have not caused this problem. The mechanic has told her this and 2 other shop managers. I just tried calling the customer this morning and spoke with her mother and she told me to call back after 1pm because her daughter was at work.I will call her later today. I just dont know what else to say about this issue. She clearly drove her vehicle over our ***** mile/1month warrantyCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I went in multiple times for the issue before they advised me to take it into their shop. All they continued to do was refill the coolant and tell me to come back until the 3rd or 4th time I went back. The one month warranty was expired as they didnt advise me until afterwards to have it looked at. If I wouldve taken it anywhere else it wouldve voided any warranty. How was I suppose to be aware of the shop they directly work with if they did not give me any information until last minute and the shop couldnt see me for yet another week as they were backed up on vehicles.Business Response

I was getting a regular oil change and as they were finishing the job and employee slams the hood of my car and bent and damaged my hood stand. They were scratching and messing with it for over 15 minutes trying to figuring out how to fix their mess. At the end i ask for a manager and asked if they could fix the part that they had broke. The part that was brand new when i arrived and damaged by the time i left. After i asked for a manager the and i was told they were the manager. After this the environment of the conversation had changed and started to be rude and hostile. I asked if they could fix my part and issue a refund and i was told one or the other. I left being told i would need to get a mechanic to send them an invoice. But i did not receive a name of the manager and invoice number or even an email to contact. This happened at the take 5 oil change ********** *******. July 6 2023 around 3pm. I would like a refund for my oil change and a brand new hood stand.Business Response

I got an oil change at the **** Inwood location in ******, ** on 05/31/23. I've been here several times and I always get the economy oil change that is $49.99. I had a Take 5 email coupon for $15 off any oil change, so I was expecting to pay $49.99 + the $3.99 shop service charge + tax - $15 (~$40). After the oil had been drained from my car the technician told me that they were out of the oil for the economy oil change, and that I would have to choose one of the more expensive options. So I ended up having to spend $87.99 + the $3.99 shop service charge + tax -$15 ($80.02) for the next cheapest option. If they were out of a type of oil the employees should have informed me of this before they drained all the oil from my car so I could have gone somewhere else or they should have done the oil change for the price of the economy oil change. I have already tried to contact the business on their website about a month ago and I have not heard back. I would like a refund for the cost difference.Business Response

On 6/26/23 I recieved an oil change at the ****** school location in ******* *******. A tool was left in my car during service. I was told to start motor and keep RPM at 3k for testing. During testing the tool feel into motor bounced around and broke a fan blade as well as causing other damage. This was not realized until driving the vehicle away and noticing a strong vibration and noise coming from motor. Upon realization of issue the car was returned to the location and take5 employee greeted me along with another employee. Both employees inspected the vehicle and confirmed the fan blade was broken. The specific employee who performed the transaction the admired to a socket being left in the car and also a black piece of plastic falling to the ground. I asked for the damage to be fixed, the employee called ****** the manager over. ****** immediately denied the damage and instructed employees to linger speak to me. He also denied me to step any further on property and would not provide an owner or corporate manger to speak with stating I should look it up on the internet.Upon driving away 15 miles or so my entire fan assembly broke off and fell to the ground while driving. The car was the towed to dealer where damage has amassed to over $2k. I called take5 corporate office only to be sent directly to voicemail, I filled a complaint online with take5 and have yet to receive a call or email response. A $100 oil change has now turned into $2k worth of problems and no one take take any responsibility. This is the worst business and seems to be set-up to only take advantage of people. There is no way to communicate any issues and no customer service that seems to care.Business Response

On June 3, 2023, I went to the business located on Ambassador ******* where the top/tip of my oil dip stick was broken by the technician during the process. The service writer advised me of the issue and she stated they would be ordering a new stick and would contact me when it was in. I was never contacted and called several times on different days and was always told someone would call me back and never received a callback. I was even told I was being transferred to the Headquarters and was actually transferred to a voicemail. I had a mechanic look at it and told me the tip of the stick was broken but the stick was still in the hole and the gasket cover would need to be removed in order to get it out. After several failed attempts to get the issue resolved with the company, I paid a mechanic to get the issue resolved. I want to be reimbursed.Business Response
