On 04/20/2023 I took my 2019 VW Jetta to Take 5 Oil Change @717 FM ********************************* Store # **** @ 4:05pm cst. to get an oil change and I also agree to purchase a new air filter that day as well. The crew who provided the services were *********(Hood) *******(Mgr.) *********(Pit/Mod). O n 04/21/2023 I left to go out of town and started to hear a very loud sound under the hood of my car. So I pulled over @ an gas station in ****** ,**. Once I raised up the hood on my car I notice that a screwdriver was left up under my car just sitting there. I had to located a VW dealership in the area due to the loud noise. Once I was able to get my car there the service tech @ *********************************** in ******, ** stated he found the under carriage shield to be jammed into the fan shround housing from a previous service ground down the tabs that lines the tray to the vehicle. So I had to pay out of packet ****** to be able to return back home. I called to speak to ******* the store mgr. and he was very rude and unapologetic he was very quickly to say they were nit responsible for the damage without allowing me to explain the issue after the dealership tech rep emailed over pictures and documentation ******* then said that he would get back to me the next day and he never did.Business Response

27th ********* change, spent $113 thinking professionals are handling what they know how to do. Didnt get a paper or anything which makes me now think it was in purpose since he admitted to overfilling. Drove from the oil change place to ********* and car started rattling and making noise and oil spilling everywhere. Oil was everywhere. Fiance went to check the car and discovered that the oil was overfilled.Called take 5 Employee admitted to overfilling and told ** to go to the closest one to ********* which is ********* take 5.Car barely drove there and sounded horrible the whole way Employee there checked oil and said it was completely overfilled.Employee called someone and told ** to leave the car there and they will put it in the shop and take care of it . We waited a few days and drove back to the take 5 in ********* just to see that the car was still sitting there and we were told we have to contact the take 5 in *********************** to find out whats going to be done. They handed ** the car keys on the way out. Went on the *********************** take 5 . Spoke with take 5 manager (recorded) and he told ** that the district manager was notified and we will be hearing from them.A week later, no phone call so we stopped by again ( recorded) and were told the same thing. We asked for the contact information of district manager and it was ignored and again we were told that we will be contacted. It is now going on 3 weeks of no kind of contact from take 5 concerning this issue. My daughter has now lost her babysitting job which was her source of income. 4/18/23 we stopped by AGAIN and were told our claim was denied and there is nothing they can do. Figures. How are you denying a claim and say its not your fault when nobody has even looked at the car..like I said they gave ** the car keys. Nobody takes responsibility for putting hard working people into situations. Court here we come.Business Response

On April 12th, 2023 I received an oil change at Take 5 Oil Change (Battlefield Blvd location). I drove my car home and to work the following day making no additional stops. Once I left work, I noticed that my oil light was on. I wasn't sure what could be the problem, so I decided to head back to Take 5 Oil Change to have them take a look it is. Not even 5 minutes into my drive, my engine fails why attempting to accelerate over the **************/onto the highway. My car would not restart and the engine have a knocking sound. I waited over 6 hours in the cold for a tow, until I was towed by VDOT to a holding lot. The following day, I had the car looked at by Tire Choice, who advised that my dealership would need to take a look at it. I then towed the care to ********************** in **************. At this time, my dealership was hesitant to place blame on Take 5 and opted to see If the warranty would cover it. After a month of waiting, the dealership advised that an oil drain plug was found in the oil filter housing causing the engine to fail on April 10, 2023. I have since attempted to make contact with Take 5 and have had no luck seeking resolution since the initial incident. The organization also does not allow for you to seek higher resolution through corporate. The phone numbers provided all lead to call centers who are unable to assist in the matter. I am seeking repairs/monetary resolution. I have asked for the organizations internal claims process on multiple occasions and have not received a response of the process to date or any update on handling.Business Response

My grievance is the result of a technician improperly installing the skid plate on my ****** 4Runner following an oil change conducted in the middle of March. Approximately one week following the service at this station I noticed my skid plate leaning very low on one side. After inspecting the skid plate, it was obvious several bolts were missing or broken off. I immediately called the station to inform them but received no answer. I then contacted customer service who told me to drive my vehicle (with the skid plate dangling by two screws) back to the location of service. Now, fast forward one full month to April 14th. I went and spoke with the Manger there that ********************, only to find out that the wrong bolts were ordered again (they had ordered the wrong bolts four prior times at this point). He informed me he would go to the store himself and purchase the correct bolts. Several hours later ****** called me and asked for my vin number to ensure he bought the right bolts. I was then informed by both ****** and ***** that the correct bolts were purchased and were waiting at the shop, and that I could come in on Saturday, April 15. I showed up on Saturday, April 15, my sixth trip to the shop, only to find out the wrong bolts were ordered again. I have yet to be contacted by anyone to solve this issue. I also have lost all confidence that your store can perform the work necessary to fix the issue. As such I will be taking my vehicle to a ****** service department to have it properly serviced by trained technicians. I will then send the bill to the Take 5 Shop that performed the work. I hope you will honor your work, and your mistake, and pay for the work performed to remedy your mistake.Business Response

April ****** took my car into take 5 oil in ******* they said they did the oil change, but on Monday my car stopped and the engine light came on. I called them the asst ****** was coming to me, but after a long wait my wife bought some oil I put it in to get home. On Tuesday I took my car back to them they told me the my radiator was bad so it drained the oil. This is not true they lied to cover up there mistake. I have tried to just get my money back but they will not return my calls.Business Response

5 minute oil change told **, Buick requires synthetic oil in our car. NOT TRUE. They put synthetic oil in our car. The sticker they put on the windshield, stated , change oil in **** miles. They lied or put regular oil in our car. Synthetic oil life is **** miles to ****** miles. NOT ****. So, I am not sure; is it **** miles or **** miles to change oil again. I paid $111.25. Now in ****, I MUST change my oil because 5 Minute oil change lied. I can not take a chance of blowing up my engine because they lied or will say, Oh, it just a typo, drive it ****** miles, it will be okay.Business Response

The sticker that the provide you ****s the 3000 mile **** from when the oil change is performed due to us providing customers a free top off. The top off policy states that customers can come to get a free top off if they are within the 3000 miles or 3 month window, whichever comes first. I do hope this clears things up a little bit and I do apologize about the inconvenience and concerns.

On December 21, 2022, I was charged twice for an oil change service by one of their employee. I reached out to the management to ask for reimbursement. Management has emailed me back multiple times stating the reimbursement check has been issue and is in transit, but 4 months later I have yet to get any sort of check or response.Business Response

I took my car into take 5 oil change on 3/31/23 for a basic oil change. They changed oil and filters that I approved of, they opened the door on top of motor that houses another filter they struggled to get it out and when they did they broke the cylinder that houses that filter. They tried to put it back in it wouldn't go so they forced it in. then they said they were done. They charged me ***** and sent me on my way my way. I got on freeway and when I was getting off my check engine light came on also my dash was flashing low or no Oil I check under hood their was little to no oil on dip stick. pulled into auto repair shop they lifted hood oil was all over my engine and every where they said you can't drive this car. so we called ************************* GM of ****** store he came said they will pay for repair this was Friday car was repaired on Monday 4/2/23 today is Thursday and no payment has been made they said they would pay for rent a car no payment has been made I have 4 special needs kids and I need my car NOW . this place should be shut down not only do they damage customers vehicles they drag their feet when doing their part in paying for repairs quickly.Business Response

I went to get my oil changed before I turned in my car to the dealership and asked for the cheapest oil change. The gentleman attempted to talk me into getting the premium one because the vehicle was a luxury brand. I explained to him that I am in the middle of a buy back with the dealership and that I just needed a cheap oil change. He finally agreed and then later informed me that he was unable to give me the $$30-40 oil change and I needed to get the $90-$100 oil change. I told him don't worry about it- I will go somewhere else. He then said "I already dumped your oil." I called corporate the next day to complain and they apologized and said they would mail me a check for the oil change and send me a 50% coupon for my next oil change. This was in February and I have not received anything from corporate and we continue to play phone tag.Business Response

My daughter ****************** took her car to Take 5 on 121 ********** ** for an oil change, she said every one was nice there. after completing this she paid and left next day her check engine light came on. Her car is a 2017 ***** cruze so we thought it just needed maintenance. We took it to the shop and they said the filter was put on upside down and damaged a part in the car which needed to be replaced, as she is traveling for college we fixed it. I took the receipt to the take 5 and spoke to the manager and said i wanted to be refunded for the repair being they made the mistake which caused this repair. at 1st she said she would just refund us the oil change cost I said no as the repair is what needs to be refunded. The manager took a copy of the receipt and said she sent it to corporate and every time I go or call to follow up on this she just says it's in process. I tried to reach a corporate person but am unable to reach a person and have yet to receive a call back. I get it mistakes happen but it was not my mistake that caused this.i would like a response and an update on my refund as i was told we would receive. i don't have receipt in front of me but it was approximately ****** I you are able to reach out to this company and at least get me an update on this I would appreciated it *********************************Business Response
