Bank of America does not care about you getting scammed. I contacted them within an hour of me realizing I was a victim of wire fraud. I put in the claim and waited 3 months for them to get back to me to say that they closed the claim because there were no funds in the account my money was wired to. No kidding!! I went to the bank and raised h*** The nice customer service *** got a "regional manager" on the phone to explain that once the wire is in process they can't stop it. I explained that I called to ***ort it was fraud within the same hour. I was told that the bank, ****************, that my funds were fraudulently wired to, were notified within the 24 hour timeframe. BUT, they had to wait for approval from the RECIPIENT!!! So, basically they had to wait for approval from the SCAMMER WHETHER OR NOT TO RELEASE MY FUNDS INSTEAD OF FREEZING BOTH ACCOUNTS. Never have I heard this. Bank of America was mis***resented in the phone call received stating it was 'Bank of America' with a Texas phone number. They should take responsibility. Also should take responsibility for being informed WITHIN TIME FRAME and NOT taking any action to protect my money. And now doing absolutely nothing to help return it! You just lost all these accounts BOABank of America

I had a $39.19 charged to a new credit card. It showed suspicious activity. I called them about it, fraud department. They told me that I had to go to a Bank of America in person to verify that it was me. Could not be done on phone. Problem is I'm 4 hours away from the closest bank. I even told them after 5 times calling, with a wait time of 15 to 20 minutes each time. I just wanted to pay the $39.19 and cancel the card. Told me I had to go to a Bank of America that is 4 hours away. Finally after talking to Texas fraud Dep, Arkansas fraud, and California fraud all telling me the same thing to show up in person at a ********. 4 hours away. Finally after 2 days calling, took a break cause it was so frustrating, tired the next day. I was hooked up with the *************************. ******* at this particular Department had it taken care of in under 10 minutes. All he did was call me back to make sure it was me, including a verification code also birth dste first. 4 hours to a *** to verify its me to pay $39.19. Ridiculous. ******* is probably the only one who had enough sense in his head to resolve the problem. **** paid, problem solved. *** you should give ******* a huge pay increase or a promotion to be in charge of all the fraud Departments for you. Thank you ******* from *************************. May have some errors in this review. Fat fingers on phone. Apologize for that.Bank of America

On Dec 17 I sent a check to pay off the month's bill. It was cashed on the 21st. By the end of that day, my balance was: *zero.*On the 23rd, BoA sent an electronic request to an old bank account to transfer the previous bill's amount. Funds in that account are minimal, just enough to keep it open. Of course, the bank denied the transfer request. *** did not ask for the minimum payment of $25 in any case -- they requested the *full* amount. So, on the 28th, they sent a *second* request, which (surprise, surprise!) bounced ********, unhappy that their money-grabbing scheme had failed miserably and despite my balance still being exactly zero since the 21st, they snail-mailed me on the 30th (9 days later, therefore) a letter reminding me of the "missed" payment and that, for my convenience, I sure could use this handy-dandy phone number to quickly make that late payment. How nice of them.I received on February 3rd that letter from *** and the two notifications from my old bank account about the bounced payment requests. I called BoA. Their agent, rather embarrassed by the story, said she would forward my complaint (to whom?) about their miserable failure to honestly adjudicate my account. How many fall victim to this practice? The same sort of thing also happened a couple of years back. *** had to cut a check to reimburse me after collecting the bill amount twice. It took 2-3 weeks between the day they collected the extraneous money and the time I received their reimbursement check via ****, as they had refused an electronic transfer to my bank. Meanwhile, I had a hole in my account for that bill's amount as the BoA certainly wasn't going to pay interest on this.Looking at the details of the bill, they have this "minimum payment" option of $25. Get this: there's a notice underneath in small type saying that if the minimum payment is chosen, the total net amount of the next bill would actually go up by nearly $100 (in my case).DO NOT TRUST BANK OF AMERICA,Bank of America

BOA is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. They charged me fees for no reason other than they can. Also, i received a statement for interest charges after i paid my balance in full the previous month. I talked to a manager and he said he could remove the charges.Bank of America

By far the worst bank experience I've ever had I enrolled online instead of using the information that they verified my phone number my email and setting up my account they used information from 20 years ago from which after wasting 2 hours of my life on the phone waiting and being passed back and forth five customer service **** from which one lied to me One was worthless and the other two were great but couldn't accomplish getting me to my online account or my account. So then after weeks of not being able to access my account I received my debit card in the mail and I was able to go into a branch which the man at the branch we're after waiting another hour for him to be answered by customer service which I thought was absolutely ridiculous that he doesn't have a back door line you may customers sit in the bank an hour with them listening to elevator music I close my account and I will never and recommend never open an account at ********************** because if you have a problem you will love the solution as long as you like elevator music and worthless customer service it is certainly the bank for you what a cheap company to not have a decent customer service line with their amount of money they make It's criminal really Good luck good day please don't waste your time there are other alternatives much better or at least betterBank of America

I accidentally used wrong card in Amazon on a credit card with a zero balance that I hardly used. I kept it open for years by doing one transaction a year for credit purposes (it was my longest standing line of credit). They never notified me of the charge, of it being past due or the fact that it was about to close, despite the fact they had my correct address and phone number. They closed it over a 2% of my credit line charge without notification. When i called to get help they were beyond rude. Never again will I use them.Bank of America

I would like to leave a review of zero stars. I see the overall customer rating is one star, which is accurate. I opened a checking account online with ********************** on 1/12/2025. The application was approved, my account was opened, I successfully sent funds to my account in the amount of $100.00, I signed up for online banking, I received my new Bank of America debit card in the mail. Then sometime around January 20, 2025, I tried to activate my debit card over the phone prompts, which was unsuccessful. I then tried to log in to my online banking again, to see if there was a reason I couldn't activate my new debit card. I was unsuccessful with logging into my online banking as well. I called Bank of America to try to resolve the issues. Every *** I spoke with told me the same thing, "my account is closed, don't know why, can I help you with anything else today". I did file a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial *****************. I will never do business with Bank of America.Bank of America

Worst customer service possible every agent says something different. We opened a small business account and they just told us, a month later and four days before we need to wire money to our payroll company to run our first payroll, that we cannot wire funds for 60 days because we are a new account. They never once told us of this and no one in the branch had ever heard of that policy. The agent on the phone sent me to the branch to get verified and then the branch people said sorry we cant verify you even though I had four forms of identification. My employees most likely will not get paid on time now. Going to take all my money out and go to another bank - Bank of America: make sure all of your employees know your process for these things because they certainly dont.Bank of America
