I canceled my monthly family subscription(2 cars) at the beginning of January since their nearest locations are often closed and the service level has deteriorated drastically. The person at the counter confirmed that they had one account for our two cars. They stated i was already paid through Feb 7 so i had a few weeks left. I went to "Take 5" car wash because the carwash I always use was closed due to weather. They offered a deal a month of washes for the price of one. I didn't have issues the first visit. On Monday February 24, 2025 I went in, and the wash felt different. It felt rough. The brushes didn't open up like the first time I went to this business. I had just purchased my vehicle less than 30 days ago. I then went around to vacuum, and clean inside. This is when I noticed a mark. It was white, on my red car so it stuck out. I ran my finger over it and then noticed more marks all white. (Many marks) I went in and filed a claim. I was told by the worker, they knew my car was damaged by the wash, but they had to check video surveillance to make sure I didn't do anything to cause it. I did not do anything to cause this. I was told they would pay out on claims, and also they would call me on Tuesday, February 25. I left, and went to a body shop and had pictures taken, and an estimate of the damages. This totalled over $4,000. I have called them. I have left messages. No call back. The call never came on Tuesday. This has caused me severe emotional distress. I have been so upset, that I cannot even put this into words. I looked for two years for this car, and to have this company's negligence cause this kind of damage, has taken a toll on me. I wish I would have never taken my car there. My car is a rare gem. Take 5 ruined my paint.Business Response

In the pictures attached you can zoom and see the damage was pre existing before the vehicle entered the car wash. The car is also older than the customer stated in their ******************** complaint. I am rejecting this response because: I just bought the car less than 30 days ago. I can provide multiple witness statements including from the seller the car did not have the damages that occurred at this car wash. It is a low mileage ****** Camry. I bought it used. It still has the paper plates. I also had it at the shop to get a radiator replaced etc. I have the body shop who took the pictures the same day it happened, and my own pictures. The worker did in fact say that he indeed knows the car wash caused the damage, but he needed to make sure I didn't do anything during that time. He also took pictures. There is not one, or two marks but many many marks. The body shop said it looked like someone ran something down both sides of my vehicle. I called the dealership who sold the car, and they will be willing to speak to your company directly. I have done multiple walk around on this car due to weather conditions, and these marks were not all down the sides on both of my front doors, and other areas. I am rejecting this response because: ************ literally admitted fault (attendant) the day it happened. You also sent me a picture via BBB website that had been photoshopped. You can tell it was photoshopped. (Part of my door is blurred.) I also have the receipt that I was refunded the cost of the membership., the day this happened.
The body shop I went to will not even deal with your company. I was told I would have to pay out of pocket for repairs, and then have you reimburse me. They said your company said they would fix vehicles, and then never pay up. I ordered a paint kit. I am going to take off work, and paint every **** that was left on my car, by your car wash. You can deny this all you like. It doesn't change the fact, my car was damaged at your car wash. I trust in God. I know there is a purpose for everything that happens in this life. Maybe for someone else not to feel the way I did when this happened to me. Then I hear the stories of others who have suffered damage along the way. Always never your fault. On 1/9/25 I visited this car wash and it was extremely busy. When my car (no aftermarket parts, etc) got to the tire shine part of the car wash, the rollers caused my car (which was in neutral, with my hands off the wheel as instructed) to pause/be pushed back. As soon as this happened, the car behind me hit my liftgate. The car wash did not stop when this happened. Per the employees instructions that day I filed a claim onsite right after the incident, and was informed that Take5 would review the video and that I would hear back in a week.I have tried to call and email the ********* Branch, Take5 Corporate and to-date I have received no reply or acknowledgement of my claim, despite having followed all instructions the day of the incident to file a claim. Filed a police report and an insurance claim, and was quoted almost $1,000 for repair to my car!Business Response

I went through their carwash on January 17th, 2025. Their outside kiosk was down, so the attendant took my card inside to pay for my car wash. He asked if I wanted the monthly membership. I clearly said no, I just want 1 car wash for today. He said ok and proceeded inside. Today, February 24, 2025, my card was charged for a monthly membership fee. I am unable to cancel because I did not agree to this, there for I do not have the needed information to cancel online and I cant not get a call back from customer service and the carwash employees will not answer the phone.Business Response

I went through the drive through car wash at take 5 car and I heard a loud bump on my right side of my vehicle and when I came out the wash I noticed a dent in my right passenger side and two days I file a complaint with the workers who was there and the manager said she couldnt show me pictures and corporate had to do and when they sent one picture and it was not when I came in the car wash it was when I a pull up to the office to make the complaintBusiness Response

Purchased monthly membership wanted to cover both my vehicles. After 1st wash did not clean my car I contract them and told them it was not what I was looking for due to not cleaning car and it doesn't cover both my vehicles. I called 10 min after I purchased membership and requested a refund. I was contacted through email stating they canceled membership but do not do refunds. The person said I did not request in the proper time frame. Not sure what that mean. So then I was forced to use the membership or loose my money. The issues is with that. The location that I purchased membership is never open during the scheduled posted hours of operation. Contacted about that have not gotten a response back. I have taken pictures of where their employees will go there and keep the location closed even a video of the girl doing it. So the employees are there but not opening the car wash. I contacted another location and they said there is no reason they should be closed. There have been 8 separate occasions in 2 weeks that I went to that location and it's not open. The other location told me to dispute charges with credit card company to get my money back. I feel like this company should be investigated for fraud. They are taking money for membership and not providing a service. I'm sure I'm not the only person that this is happening to, but this is highly unethical. I would like a full refund of the $27. 00 membership fee due to 1. Not properly washing car, 2. Not having an open facility to provide car washing services that ****** paid for.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: this was to be for unlimited car washes. The response is that a membership is the cost of a single car wash is not true. That is like admitting you are knowingly trying to take advantage of customers. Your theory is as long as you received your money you do not care if it's available for the customer because as far as your concerned a single wash is $27. I do not think so. If it's unlimited I should be able to wash my car every day if I want bit I would not be able to do that because it's never open when it's saposto be open. I'm not sure where you get your information from but I can not use car was if it not open and I contacted on the same day that membership was open. ************ has a F rating for a reason and that's because you all are scammers. I have tried to stop auto billing of $25 since March 1, 2024 about which time my vehicle was no longer recognized by their system. Since then, instead I have used a credit card for each purchase at this business ( and its sister location in *************, **), which visits have been far less than once a month. They have changed names and means of contact within the last year failing to respond to any inquiries. I formerly used the service once or twice a month with auto billing. Increasingly dissatisfied with quality of results apparently from change of equipment, I used the service infrequently. The business changed names, equipment ( and possibly ownership / otherwise the good service of the original named company was a lure) and suddenly auto-recognition of my license for use of membership did not work and the attendant suggested I use the credit card assigned to the account to bring it up. I had an additional billing. Contacted the company by means provided more than once. Had no response. Continued to attempt contact. No human ever available and system for contact as well as overall corporate name changed again as identified on the telephone system. It appears yet another change of business or group association taking calls to relay their complex contact system has occurred. Local employee attendants are very nice and not reflective of the horrible corporate responsiveness.Business Response

Around the beginning of February I tried to cancel my wash membership online as instructed but was met with an RFID not found message. I contacted the physical location and was told I could come by to get it cancelled. I did so but was only given a card and told to email *************************************** to get it cancelled. As of today *** received no confirmation despite multiple emails sent that it was cancelled or that my emails was even received and it is getting really close to the time they usually charge my account. I am disputing charges totalling $419.79 that were charged to my credit card without authorization. My credit card has been charged ***** a month since around April 2023 to this date. They acknowledged they have no record of me using the membership for all almost 2 years of them charging me...On February 6th, 2025, I called and spoke to one of their (take 5 carwash) representatives, and I was told I would get an email with a response to my dispute. I still have not received a response/email. Today is 2.18.2025.Years back on or around April 2023, I went to the Take5 car wash in ******** ***** on the corner of ****** ******** and ****** **. The attendant asked if I would like to buy their membership. I told him no because I would forget. He told me to get it and that I could cancel after 2 weeks and that I would not get charged again. That is exactly what I did. I went back and told the attendant I wanted to cancel and he told me to park where the vacuums are. A young man came and had me sign a small paper and told me my membership would be cancelled and that I could continue to use the "membership" until the end of the month. The representative on 2.6.25 told me that I used the membership sticker tag that was affixed to my windshield one time after the membership month. I told her I didn't know the sticker was still working because I trusted the attendant had done his job and had cancelled my membership...After all that, they still got my debit card payment the time that the machine picked up on the sticker tag....I did not get anything free....She was very condescending with her answer telling me that "One would think you would take the sticker tag off your car when your membership was over". Again, I trusted your attendant when he told me my membership was cancelled. I try to go paperless with my bills and this is why I did not notice that I had been charged ***** every month for the past almost 2 years.Business Response

First off,they did not even take responsibility for their employees not doing their job. They are blaming me for not looking at my account.
The $39.99 dollar refund is ridiculous! They stole ****** dollars from methey know very well that they did wrongif you check the reviews, I am not the only person that they have done this to.

According to the membership's terms and conditions, a notice of intent to cancel must be provided at least seven days before the renewal date for a cancellation to be processed (refer to the link details below). Since there are no documented requests for cancellation, a refund is not warranted. Nevertheless, *** has graciously issued a courtesy refund of two months to your card.

November 20, 2024 I took my ****** Forester to Take 5 Car Wash at ****************************************************. I am program for $22.00 a month. When the car came out of the wash I saw that the wash equipment had ripped off the rear wiper arm assembly. The attendant stopped the wash and went in and found the wiper arm and gave it to me and apologized, referencing a new compressor had been installed and that probably caused the damage. he said to come back and talk to the manager later when she would be in. He also said that employees had been instructed to no longer tape down the rear wiper like they used to. I went to ********* ****** and had a new rear wiper arm assembly installed for $119.49. I came back to the Take 5 and left the receipt and my phone number. After several days of hearing nothing I contacted ****** ***** at Take 5 ************** She emailed I must start with the local manager filling out a "incident report". I went to that car wash location 5 times trying to see her. She was never there when i was. I left another copy of the ********* ****** paid receipt on her desk with my phone number. all I was asking for was my membership to be suspended until this resolved and a refund for the $119.49 sent to my home address or credited to my card. in the following months, my card was charged in December, January and again today, February 18, 2025. In the interim, emails to ****** where she promised I would hear back from ******* ***** the regional manager at driven brands. After ******* not contacting me, Mattea gave me his email ******************************* I emailed him 12/23/2024 and never received an email reply or phone call. copies of all of this if needed. I am looking for refund for $119.49 and account charges since the incident and no more charges.. I have not used the car wash services since the day the wiper arm was torn off.
