I recently purchased a new car so I purchased a yearly unlimited carwash membership for $259.20 at Take 5 Car Wash. After speaking with my detailer, he informed me that this kind of car wash would start to leave swirls in my paint because it's not ". I went back into the location and made them aware of the situation, and told them that I understood if they had to charge me for the first month, and they could just refund the rest. The local employees said that they couldn't do anything about it, but said they would contact their district manager and they would have him give me a call. In the meantime I sent a detailed email on their customer care page with the same information. After a few days, no one had contacted me so I again went into the location and asked what the district manager said, and they didn't have an answer for me at all! I then sent another email, which I still haven't received a response from the first one, but I sent another one anyway. There's no way to talk to a live person, just the email option on the website. I'm sorry, but annual and 6-month passes, wash books, and gift cards are considered one-time, non-refundable purchases. As a result, we are unable to process any refunds for them.When you made your purchase, the duration of the 12-month pass was known, and these passes are non-transferable.

On May 19, 2024 at 8:17 am, I was going through the Take 5 car wash as I do regularly because I have a monthly membership. The car wash malfunctioned causing the vehicle in front of my car to not move forward and rammed the front of my vehicle into the rear of the truck. I was able to exit the car wash and alert the worker. The employee said the car wash malfunctions frequently. I called the police and they came and made a report. I was told to contact the district manager, so I did. Before, I could get resolution, the district manager quit. So, I alerted the new district manager about what happened. She refused to give me the name and contact information of corporate. I had to go to the city offices to get the name/information of the Take 5 owners. I called the corporate number many times to get nowhere. I need my car repaired from the damage that occurred in the car wash. I previously spoke with Mr. ****** in August 2024 regarding a damage claim he submitted, which, from my understanding, originated in May 2024.
After reviewing the situation, I explained our policy to Mr. ******* The damage resulted from the vehicle in front of him suddenly braking, meaning the liability would fall under that vehicles insurance rather than our company, as our wash was not at fault. This is our standard procedure in cases like this.
Mr. ****** informed me that the other partys insurance company had stated we were at fault. I advised him to follow up with that insurance provider to ensure they properly processed his claim. However, he became increasingly frustrated and accused me of giving him the runaround. While I attempted to clarify that the responsibility lay with the other partys insurance, Mr. ****** continued to raise his voice and became extremely rude.
During our conversation, he also repeatedly demanded the owner's contact information. I informed him that we do not have direct contact information for an owner and that he could instead reach out to our customer service team, who could verify that my response aligned with the details in his damage claim file.
Due to Mr. ******* escalating tone and behavior, I ultimately had to end the call as he did not like what I was saying to him and made that clear to me.

I purchased an "unlimited" monthly membership, under the impression that I would be able to wash my car whenever I wanted. The car wash is almost *never* open. They don't stick to their posted business hours. I tried going 4 days in a row - all sunny, dry, relatively warm days - and they were closed for "inclement weather". They get people to sign up for this membership, knowing that they will be charged monthly and they will never be able to actually use it. This place is a total scam.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
"At any time and for any reason" makes this a total scam. The 'reasons' recently seem to be that you are unwilling to provide your paying customers with the services that they paid for. All other car washes in the area were open on the days you were closed for "inclement weather". I got a voicemail from your location that said they close when it's 10 degrees, but I was there on days when it was 30+.Cheat, lie, scam, steal. That's how you do business.

Charged my card for a membership that I do not want. Refund my money please. Preventing me from changing the debit card and repeatedly charging my card until it gets the money for something I don't use is bad business practice. If the money wasn't there on the original charge date then you should not be trying to charge me the same monthly fee a month later or 2 to 3 months later trying to get that same monthly fee from months ago. You set up a subscription in the app on April 21, 2024, and used the service until June 2024. You can update your card or cancel your subscription directly through the app. According to our terms and conditions, we ask for a 7-day notice for cancellations. If you wished to end your membership, you would have needed to either cancel it in the app or reach out to ************* for help. Since we didnt receive any cancellation notice from you and you didnt cancel through the app, a refund cannot be issued in this situation.
Your Monthly Unlimited Membership has been deactivated and your credit card will no longer be charged for renewal, however, you can still use your pass through the close of business on 2/20/2025.

No one can be reached at your phone number for customer service and it is to difficult to get help from your customer service. My card was charged yesterday 2/11/2025 so why would it only last until 2/20/2025 if I did want to keep the subscription? Refund please or I'll just here to dispute it with my bank and leave a negative review. Your F rating here at the BBB speaks for itself and the company you work for. I stopped at this Car Wash back in October to get a quick wash as I went by. I don't live super close by but drive by it a decent amount. The kid told me there was a special to get a month's worth of washes for the price of 1. I told him I don't go there all that often and don't want to be locked into a monthly payment. He responded by telling me that it was ONLY for one month and would not auto charge after that. I went ahead and did it since I was paying the price anyways. Needless to say, it was not a one month thing and it did charge my card every month until I just realized it and stopped the payment. When I went in to cancel, I was not offered any kind of refund or anything for their employee making false statements about their memberships. In fact, the person told me that the last 2 memberships they tried to cancel it wouldn't let them so they were surprised it actually worked for me. This kid who sold me this knew that I would not have bought it if he would have said it was monthly so he said what he needed to say to get me to buy it. Definitely a shady business practice in my opinion and I believe since I have not used the membership that this company should honor what was said when I set it up.Business Response

I was talked into buying a membership because they said you get a month of washes for the same amount of $ youd pay for the one wash. I asked the employee if I could cancel if I didnt want to keep it he said yes it was very easy & gave me a card with a ** code on it. When I scan the ** code & put in the membership # thats on the sticker on my windshield it says its not found. You cannot get in touch with customer service via telephone they just send you a text that directs you to their contact page which I have filled out 5 ************** heard anything back. I found an email & asked to cancel that way and still have not heard anything back. After some ****** searches I see Im not alone. Others have had this exact same thing happen to them. This feels very predatory. I guess I will have to resort to cancelling my debit card as others have said they had to do.Business Response

When I went online to cancel, it said I needed an RFID that was on my car to cancel, but I dont have one on my car, because I didnt purchase a membership. Hello, on or about Jan 16th 2025 I used Take5 website to verify military service and proceeded with activating a MONTHLY program (Pro Plus Unlimited) for the car ******* the discounted amount of *****. On that day, the manager told me it would take a couple hours for the website to provide her with the window sticker(RFID) but she would allow me to just go through as she saw the email showing purchase. I returned several hours later only to be informed that the system still had not updated. I reached out to the company via THE ONLY way possible (website support), submitted.. never heard back. Drove by a couple days later, still no RFID pass in the computer. Thime I EMAILED support.. AGAIN this was IGNORED. I tried again using email and the website.. STILL NO RESPONSE OR CONTACT. I now have *** physically cancel my credit card to STOP THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY from taking additional funds from my financial institution. How does a company ****** its customers and still EXPECT to maintain a business? Shame on DRIVEN BRANDS and thier CEO ***** ****** for not FOLLOWING thier own motto!Due to the Veteran verification process, I have also notified ***** of this companies lack of responsibility and failure to provide access to the services purchased.Any company that doesn't have some form of customer support (especially) regarding financial transactions will suffer on one.way or another. I went for a car wash on Dec 3, *****, and this car wash location has scratched my car in four places. The cost of fixing the vehicle is $650 + 3-5 days of the car rental expenses. The call-in number does not connect to any agent at all. The car wash location states that the corporate office will return a phone call, but in 1.5 months, they have not returned a phone call. I have sent multiple emails with the receipt of a car wash, an estimate to fix damages, and pictures of damages, but there has been no response at all to any of my requests.Business Response
