      About a year ago I allowed Take 5 Car wash to put me on a monthly unlimited car wash program. I have tried many times over the past few weeks to cancel the service. They are taking a monthly fee out of my checking account. Ive attempted to contact them and you never get anything other than a recording tell you to go to their website for managing your account. Ive attempted to do this but they require an rfid number on a window sticker. I cant provide that number because I traded that vehicle on anothef at a dealership. I have been emailing their complaint department but I dont think the email is handled by a real person. All of the responses are the same. This is a scam when you cant get a company to stop a membership & stop them from an automatic withdrawal. Im retired & cant afford to pay for something I cant use.

      I have tried to cancel by $17 monthly membership yet its still recurring. The employee who talked me into this plan in ****** told me I could cancel right away. They make it impossible to cancel. I actually never used the membership and its been several months. Looking into additional ways to make this cancellation and reimbursement complete today.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Thank you for your prompt response. I dont find that this partial refund is sufficient however, as I attempted to cancel this shortly into the membership. I thought that the attempt was successful until very recently. I do not think that I should I have to pay for months that should have been canceled, no matter how long it took me (a busy mom of three young children) to notice the $17 recurring charge. I trusted that it would be handled the first time, and I shouldnt be penalized for my trust. My husband and I also take our vehicles to a similarly named place for oil changes, air filters, etc so I thought that this Take 5 charge couldnt be the car wash continuing. 

      Aug 15 - $17 no refund needed; Sept 15 - $17 no refund needed; Oct 15 - refund warranted; Nov 15 - refund warranted; Dec 15 - refund warranted; Jan 15 - refund warranted; Feb 15 - refund warranted; March 15 - refund warranted

      Our support is in accordance with the Membership Terms & Conditions which every customer receives when purchasing the membership either by agreeing on the screen or a paper receipt. Responsibility for notifying **************** in a timely manner if there is an issue with an account lies with the customer.  We have several ways to contact ****************.       No refund is due for prior months if we were not notified. Non-use is not a reason for refunding as in any subscription service.

      This company sells the higher price wash to get you Armor All on your tires and fail to provide it. First month they opened they had to pit it on manually because the brand new wash supposedly was having a problem spraying Armor All. This is the forth time I paid more ror Armor all treatment and did not receive it. This is their common practice to save money. This company is committing fraud against consumers who upgrade for services you never receive. This is fraudulent business practices against consumers

      I received a car wash on January 29th, 2025; as I was paying for it ($27), a young employee came over to me to "help me" with the purchase. I completed it and moved on. I noticed on March 1st, 2025, that I had a pending charge for another $27. I immediately tried to address this by calling the location, but no one ever answered. I tried calling their toll-free line but you can't connect with a live person; you're only able to you fill out a form. I filled out the form and on March 7th heard from *** ******** at *********************** who asked me for the last 4 of the credit card used. I have sent that to ***, twice, but he hasn't responded. Not only did I not receive a refund for the March 3rd charge, but also I was charged another $27 on March 31st.

      On March 25, 2025, I visited the Take 5 Car Wash at **************************************, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. During the wash, the machinery caused significant damage to my truck, leaving me both frustrated and disappointed.Upon entering the car wash, I followed all instructions and ensured my vehicle was properly aligned. ******, the manager onsite, assured me there would be no issue with the truck going through the wash. However, I felt a sudden jolt as the wash progressed and heard unsettling noises. Another gentleman came running to the bay that I was halfway through and had me back out of the wash; I inspected my truck and discovered noticeable dents, scratches, and holes that were not present prior to the wash.Immediately, ****** had me park and come into the office to fill out the incident report. They were courteous and told me not to worry; I would hear from the district manager within 48 hours. However, the subsequent follow-up has been lacking. Despite multiple attempts to contact the district manager at the number provided and calls to their customer service, I have not received ANY resolution or compensation for the damages ***********'s disheartening to learn that my experience isn't isolated. Several customers have reported similar issues with vehicle damage at various Take 5 Car Wash locations. For instance, one customer noted severe scratches on their vehicle after a wash and faced challenges in receiving a response from the company. Given the recurring nature of such incidents, I urge potential customers to exercise caution when considering Take 5 Car Wash services. The company must address these concerns promptly and implement measures to prevent further occurrences. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend their services to fellow vehicle owners.

      On March 18, 2025, I went to the Take 5 Car Wash on CVB Drive. It was busy, I was in the members line. Made it through the car wash and drove over to vacuum out my car. As I was outside I found the hood of my car scratched. I tried to call the car wash and got no answer. So I drove back around and got in line to speak to someone at the window. A young man said he could see the scratches and had the manager meet me at the vacuums. That manager filled out a complaint and took photos. He said he could see the scratches and someone would call me in 1-2 days. I left and drove to my parents to pick up a package where my dad saw the top of my car was scratched. I took more photos and tried to call the car wash. Again no answers. So I drove back across town and spoke to the same people. He got a step ladder and could see the scratches. He took more photos of my car. In total, there are scratches on almost every side of the car. The hood and roof being the worst. He told me again someone would call me in 1-2 days. No call from anyone. I called and got no response. I then called the customer care line and got an email that they had informed the district manager I would like an update on my claim and would hear from him right away. They also gave me his email address. I waited a few days and again no call or email. I sent him an email directly and have no response. My car was not scratched prior to going to the Take 5 Car Wash. At this point Ive heard and read multiple horrible experiences with this company taking care of damages or claims. They dont respond to anyone.

      The previous District Manager reached out the week of the incident and was unable to contact you. 

      We take every customer concern seriously and conducted a thorough investigation upon receiving this claim. After reviewing the surveillance footage, maintenance logs, and speaking with on-site staff, we found no evidence of any equipment malfunction on the date of the visit. Additionally, there were no similar damage reports from other customers on that day.

      Our brushes are made of soft, closed-cell foam specifically designed to prevent scratching. Upon inspection of the customers photos, the direction and pattern of the scratches do not align with the rotation or contact points of our equipment. This further suggests that the damage was not caused by our wash process.

      While we regret that the customer experienced this issue, based on the available evidence, our equipment did not cause the damage in question. We remain committed to providing a safe and high-quality experience for every customer.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have received no phone calls or emails from the district manager. My car was not scratched before entering the car wash. I would like to see the surveillance footage of when I went through for my own review  

      When I found the scratches I immediately tried to call and had to pull around to window. The employee and manager onsite both acknowledged the issue and the manager agreed the scratch points would have come from the equipment. How does the photos that the manager took, the ones I submitted, and the footage prove it was not the car wash?

      I got one car wash at Take 5 and was asked about membership. I explicitly declined the membership and said I only want today's wash. You can check in your records I never went for car washes. I did not catch this recurring charge until recently and went back to see how far it went. You can see the day I got a car wash and was charged double then the recurring fees start. I signed nothing to give permission to use my card information for a monthly charge. This is unethical practices and Ive had to shut my card off to stop them after filling out the online portal and getting no response.

      I purchased a monthly car wash pass for $26 a month. They double charge me from April 2024 to August 2024. Then when I canceled it they still charged $26 from September 2024 to March 2025. They refuse to refund my money saying I had 2 accounts on the same vehicle same license number same make and model. I told them I dont work for take 5 that there employee did it. Said I had one on the app and one through the carwash it self. The girl at the carwash said I had to feel the paper out and my app so my account would be on my app. I didnt know it was double accounts just did what she said. Now they refuse to refund my money. Its up to $312 as of right now they owe me. Just want to make people are aware of the scheme Take 5 is pulling.

      On Nov 24 2024 I went to wash my car, no issues. In Dec when I got my credit card statement, I found a new charge on Dec 24, That I did not get a wash at that time. Trying to call the number listed on the transaction was useless ************. I had to go to the car wash and wait for someone to talk to. They did not want to help cancel the membership they said I had signed up for, I had to keep insisting. **************** sided with them, that I had signed up for auto renewal membership. This last time the attendant assisted me to make sure I did a single wash. Lots of pressure to sign up and navigating around the pay screen to get a single wash took a couple of tries, even for them, and they were not happy. The screen presents membership and monthly fee as only option. After posting on neighborhood ************ 6 others have shared similar stories of having been signed up for membership without their knowledge.

      I cancelled my personal plan on a monthly wash so that I could be on a family plan instead. My monthly plan wasn't cancelled so l have been paying for my regular monthly plan plus a family plan on the same jeep. When I realized the error I contacted the company in person where I was directed to contact them via email. I have tried calling but there is only a phone number that has a recording for me to email. No one has responded to my emails about refunding my money where I have been double paying for the same vehicle. The employees have been super friendly but the company is unreachable and I am extremely upset over being ignored.I have heard of several people having issues with the corporate level of this company and now I see why.
