      We just got a door replaced after several months. We bought a new Jeld-Wen door from a big box store and their installer measured the opening and about two months later when the door arrived, he installed it. Except that it was not the right size and he had to put shims at the bottom to make it close over the threshold. The new door came packaged inside the new frame and it was missing the wipe at the bottom, which should have been a clue. Of course, he reported it and we complained. The big box store person called a week or so later and said Jeld-Wen wanted me to measure the opening. I refused to get into a situation where they could accuse me of not measuring correctly. So, after a few weeks we got the installer to return and remeasure what he had already measured. Over two months later, the replacement door was delivered. Three weeks after that, the installer came and installed it. The job took him almost three hours, but he got it done well. A bunch of years ago we bought our front door from Jeld-Wen. It was a $15,000 (or so) door, with another $2,000 for the lockset. It arrived with the top and bottom corners of the left side, the side that opens normally, broken. I called Jeld-Wen and the person I spoke with said they would send a repair guy with a replacement strip for the edge of the door. When he came, the replacement strip was noticeably different in color. I called Jeld-Wen and was told that every lot has a slightly different color and that there was nothing they could do. I sent the repairman away without him doing anything and I epoxied the broken pieces back on. It has been fine for many years. Two doors, two s**** *** by the same company. There will not be a third.

      I purchased an exterior door in black with a window pane imitating multiple panes. The delivery was another story, but that aside. The door arrived with sloppy paint smears in several places on the glass and an unpainted strip abutting the window. One of the horizontal bars on the window which simulates multiple panes was misaligned. There is a gap on one side where the bar does not meet the side trim. On the other side, the bar is too long and thus does not lay flush on the glass. This was not a cheap door. I had planned on buying several more which will not be happening. I am very dissappointed in the workmanship.Jeld-Wen is off my list.

      Purchased an exterior door with sidelights. The door was an assembled exterior door unit with a 10 year warranty. 15 months later the door color has faded and the frame is peeling. When I contacted Jeld-Wen I was told to send pictures. After reviewing them customer service told me that the door was only guaranteed for a year. I was then told that the frame was not covered because caulking was not installed at the base of the frame. If it needed caulking why wasn't it done at the factory? This door is under a porch roof, does not regularly wet, and has completely failed. Extremely disappointed in the product and lack of customer support. I know the response from Jeld-Wen will be contact customer support. I have with, no support. $5000 exterior door that can't get wet? Come on Jeld-Wen stand by your product and stop making excuses.       This company is a scam. They delivered broken windows twice delaying completion of our project 8 weeks. We lost $7000 in rent. They offered ** seventy ($70.00) dollars in compensation. The project isnt finished and they refuse to get the screens they forgot to send installed. They stringed us along for months promising compensation and gave us $70.00 for $5000.00 in windows.

      Terrible windows. Contractor stated these are low grade windows. No wonder water been leaking for 8 years. Hope builders will stop using them like Craftmark homes.

      Absolutely terrible windows! Overpriced for the garbage that they are! Locks dont line up so are very hard to get to work. Blobs of caulk oozing out all over and almost all of them had the rain channel installed on the top of the inside of the window. And two of them came already broken and had to be replaced. By far the worst workmanship Ive seen with any product EVER! If we ever have to replace them we will definitely NOT use Jeld-Wen!!! Would leave zero stars if it would let me.

      I ordered a entry door back in June. I was given a call that my door was ready for delivery on August 11th. Well the door never arrived and I was told there were production delays and would arrive 1st week in September 2023. Another excuse that the door would be ready in October, and that was not true. After they stringed me along for months I decided to cancel the door on November 3rd. If you want a door that will never be delivered then go with this company. Also I want to mention that their accountability and customer service deserves a 0 rating!!!

      Our contractor just installed 9 new Jeld-wen windows and 7 of the 9 do not lock. He has been talking with his rep to get someone out here to look at them but has been getting the run around. Winter is here and I have windows that do not lock and seal and the company wont do anything about it. Very poor customer service!

      Bought an interior door solid wood
      Hung it plumbed it
      The door jamb width is too narrow to allow proper clearance for the door to close. The hinge screws and hinges were loose and turning in place unable to be further tightened.

      My wife and I ordered a new six panel entry door with two side lights. The walnut color that we originally picked looked terrible, the stain took differently on the side lights than the door ( all fiberglass). The door they built was a Two panel door. So we had to have to door remade, today November 3rd the second door came in after three months wait. Color was not the espresso color that we picked out. There were chips throughout the door frame, and the stain was rubbing off when touched, mind you the last two weeks the door was delayed because the door DID NOT PASS QUALITY ASSURANCE TEST. How does a brand new $5000 door come in with these issues? I would not recommend this company to get a door from. They are full of excuses when you call them. They won't tell you exactly what the hold up is, they will just say it didn't pass QA or it's a production issue. They also have the stores tell the customer that this is a PA ******** I called the plant in PA to see where my door was and what was the delay. The plant manager told me the door itself I'd from Iowa and the frames are built in Pa. Utter garbage.
