This company doesn't even deserve a star. We signed up as a new customer in August 2024- the technician put in a fiber cable and indicated that someone would come back to bury the line. June 2025 after several phone calls and e-mails the line is still not buried. This company could care less if their work is completed in a timely manner. We have kids and a dog who now can not utilize the front yard to play because of this SAFTEY HAZARD! Yet the company does not care. We can not mow the lawn around this cable- SAFTEY HAZARD So buyer beware- unless your town already has fiber installed DO NOT sign up! They will not come finish their job. We will be searching for a new company now.

They are RIDICULOUS!!! Yes my service was suspended for non payment, and thats my fault. So its now been 2 days since they received the payment amount needed to restore my service and it still shows my account as suspended and my service still isnt working!! Ive contacted them literally 17 times since Friday and have been told something different by each person I talked with either via phone or chat as to why it still shows my account suspended but they have all said just wait 2-24 hours for it to be restored. They do not disclose to their customers that if service is suspended it can take 2-24 hours to restore it after payment is received!! Its now going on 48 hours and its still not working. Each person Ive talked with said a ticket needs to be submitted to their back office to be restored, and today someone tells me their back office isnt open today! It was open on Friday when payment was made! Its just absurd that they do not restore service as soon as they receive the payment!!! If an alternate internet provider is available in your area then I strongly suggest you choose them instead of Brightspeed. So here we are 48 hours and $177.88 later and still have no internet!!

I wish I could give minus stars. Brightspeed took over ***********. Now you cannot talk to anyone who has English as a first language. Internet and phone are both through them, they are the ONLY thing available in the area. Internet and phone both were out for two weeks. Could not get internet service to pay the bill. They are forcing everyone on DSL to go to fiber (after us taxpayers paying for it via grants)and are not sending techs to repair the **** After several calls, finally got someone out and fixed the dsl and phone. Then they had the ***** to charge me for the two weeks the services were out, AND a late fee of $22.00. I called and after two hours on the phone finally got a supervisor who had English as a first language. She told me my new bill would be $52.41, which was credit for two weeks without service and removing the late fee. Went to pay the bill 6/15 (due 6/16) and the website showed ******. Called and spoke to two so called **** and was told because their billing cycle was done, I would have to pay for the services I didn't get and the late fee, and then THE NEXT MONTHS bill would show a credit. Since I told the final supervisor I talked to that I would not be paying the 110., he said I would incur yet another late fee. My advice to anyone not forced to use Brightspeed to run as fast as you can to whatever other carrier is in your area. These people could care less about their customers, have only foreign call centers until you threaten the *** and ***. BOTH of which I am going to contact. They also demand you have a cell phone for them to blow up with nonsense to get the fiber installed. Forcing Prepay autopay and demanding your cell phone number is unconscionable

Absolute scam. Terrible service to the point I only get about a weeks worth of internet and am expected to pay for the whole month. The customer service is over seas and read from a script, so they are no help whatsoever. When you finally make an appointment, it takes 2 WEEKS to get someone out to fix it with an all day window. The website it so user unfriendly, that I can't even complain to them. Absolutely unprofessional. Do not use this company

I didnt choose Brightspeed: they took over my ******************* with little notice. *********** was far more reliable. Since Brightspeed took over, service has gone downhill fast.Internet outages now happen 35 times per month, often lasting hours and the most recent outage has lasted over 48 hours, with another full day expected before restoration. Brightspeed is the only internet provider in my area beyond expensive satellite, so I have no real alternative.Their support is nearly impossible to reach. The chatbot is barely functional, working inconsistently at best. Theres no public email support, and phone support means long hold times. Ive contacted them multiple times and have been promised account credits that never appear on my billing. These frequent outages make it impossible to use services I actively pay for, including *******, ****, ******** HBO Max, *******, and more not to mention the impact on work, communication, and basic online access.Brightspeed acts like a monopoly because, for many of us, it is. The difference between the quality of Centurylink and Brightspeed is staggering. If I had any other option, I would switch immediately.

Zero care about the elderly, my mom is 71 years old with stage 4 heart failure and kidney failure, came home to no home service after being in the hospital for 3 months. It took them 3 weeks to get her phone back up and running because they wanted her to switch to fiber which supposed to be a better service. If she didn't agree to it because you have to put a card file, and she wasn't having that so of I did NOT KNOWING that they would of change all her information to mines. so, when she tried to get help about y she can't receive calls. they told her they couldn't give her the new account number because she didn't verify her email and primary phone number.... Now mind you she gave ALL her personal information on the account including her ssn and yet they still refuse. so, when she was responding and wasn't' responding fast enough they ended the call... WHY CENTURYLINK LEFT **... WE NEVER HAD ISSUES AT ALLL WITH THEM....WISH I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY NEGATIVE STARS

Horrible service. I was without a landline for 3 weeks in May. I was consistently told I was part of an outage. When I finally got a technician out here, he told me I was not part of an outage and that Brightspeed is using all available technicians to put in fiber optic cables for new customers in **** and ************. They flat out lied to me - service **** and multiple supervisors. Phone worked for 1 week and then went out again - got the same pack of lies and 2 weeks to schedule a technician. They have a monopoly in my area and are my only option for a landline that I need for my business. If I had another option I would switch in a heartbeat. I would never recommend them.
