    This has got to be the worst service ever! My bill is up to date but we have been without ***************** Within a months cycle, our service goes out at least 10x a month for no obvious reason. **************** is a complete joke! Sorry, I had to come back and edit this post...to be correct, I have been without **************** since April 28th!!! Its May18th!!! Very unacceptable!!

    I a giving 1 stat because I can not leave it with less that 1 star. I originally had ****** as my telephone and internet provider. They were taken over by ************. Brightspeed took over my phone and internet account. I had no issues until I agreed to switch to fiber internet. That was installed April 28, 2025. They never told me that my original account would be *************************** along with my original phone number. I have all my accounts, doctors, and other contacts connected to that number. I called on the 28th of April to see about getting my original number. I was told that they would have to reactivate that old account and ************************ the number. It has been past 14 days and I a still without a phone and no satisfaction from Brightspeed. I have called on 3 separate days. I keep getting told the same information. There has been no acceptable resolution. I am told again today that I need to call back. I never would have upgraded with this company if I was not able to keep my original number. I am now told that that number may not be available. I will call again tomorrow. I did inform the people that I spoke with today that I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. I was put on hold for a supervisor. Then the line went dead. I did receive a call back to only have solid air and no person on the other end.

    **************** is horrible. The worst I have ever experienced. I have been a Customer of Century Link and never had an issue. Then my internet service went out. I called to report an outage. They told me that they could confirm a few houses in my area list internet, but that's not considered an outage. They said they would schedule an appointment with a technician, but the system was down, they would have to text it to me later. The appointment is for more than a month out! I'm being charged for a service they are not providing. I contacted them to let them know that long of a waot was not acceptable. They said they couldn't do anything about it, because they had other customers scheduled in front of me. Additionally they kept referring me to an online troubleshooting page that does not work. If you have an option of anything else, use that and not Brightspeed

    We have had Brightspeed since they took over ***********. We have had nothing but issues, and since it was the only place in town, we had to stick with them. The service was so bad that only one person could be on the internet at a time if that and they always responded with it's fine on our end. So now that there is fiber-optic option, we switched to it. Right now, this has been the 5th call to Brightspeed to close our account. But we can't close it do to the phone number port, even though the new company has our number and we can use it, it's still pending with Brightspeed. Another reason Brightspeed never came out to mark the lines when we had work done and it resulted in our phone and cable line being cut. They wanted to charge us double our normal bill to come out and fix it, and for a month of them not letting us close our account. If you have any other option for cable or phone, go with the other option.

    The internet would normally go out at least once a month. We rented their modem and when it quit working they said they had to send out a service technician and it would be 40 days before one could come. So we call to cancel our service and they tell us their computer reads "error" when they try and to call back in 24 hours and try again. After multiple attempts and hours on the phone, they still refused to cancel our service so we have to pay our bank a fee to stop automatic payments to their company. Absolutely the worst company ever! Bbb makes us leave a one star rating but of course that is too much.

    I would leave negative stars if I could. I would change local phone provider if any others were available. For the third time in ten days, our BUSINESS phone has gone out. The first time it took a little over 24 hours to get fixed. The second time, it was out for 3 days before they fixed it and the technician explained it was the EXACT SAME problem that it was having the first time (which was a failure on brightspeed's side of the line). This time, after a total of 2 hours on the phone (1.75 of which was hold time), they have given me a technician appointment date which is 4 DAYS AWAY!! Did I mention this is a business phone? Terrible phone/internet service, terrible customer service. The only way to get in touch with them is to call and wait FOREVER on hold. Do not try the chat feature, they will tell you that you must call for business lines. I hold no hope that anything positive will result from this complaint except maybe I can help someone else decide NOT to use this company for their phone or internet needs.

    The overall quality of this service has severely declined over the years of use. I have been a customer of initially Century link and now switch to Bright speed for several years. Unfortunately, since I live in a rural area, I have not had any options for good quality internet. I cannot get through watching one program without constant spinning and resetting of my line. When I complained about my service and requested for them to come see what the problem was my service was completely turned off. When I called back to see what the issue was they claimed that there was something wrong with the outside of my line and they would have to send a technician. So I was out of internet access for more than 3 weeks and was waiting for an appointment for today May 7, 2025. Took a day off of work to ensure that I was present for the technician and no one showed up. So I lost additional money. I called to find out what was going on with my appointment and they then informed me that my appointment was now pushed back to May 14, 2025. From the poor quality of service and poor customer service from the phone operators this company needs a serious re-evaluation. Either their expansion has caused severe fiber disruption or they have bitten off more than they can chew. I just need service at my address so I can conduct my business. Sincerely ******* *******

    If I could give negative stars, I would. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I waited on hold for two hours and never got through to anyone. I then tried using the chat feature, only to be told they couldn't help me either. It's absolutely ridiculous to make a customer wait that long without offering any real support. After all that they hung up on me. DO NOT do business with this company!!!!!

    They deserve no stars. Spend hours on chat because they were supposed to service my address. My appointment was for May 5th after 4 pm. We'll Inwas looking on my account and they changed ot to May 15th without even telling me. It's funny because a family member called for the new fiber internet and wouldn't yiu know it they were there within 3 days. I've been a loyal paying customer for over 15 years and this is what I get

    The worst *********** imaginable. While others are experiencing fast speeds, stable connectivity. an improved infrastructure and being able to rely on their internet service, Brightspeed does not offer any of those things. It has been the same service since before they were known as *********** and at most we have had 5/MB downloads until they suddenly lost 1MB and it has been downgraded to 4MB that nobody understands why or where it went. The speed and reliability are absolute garbage and there are no redeeming remarks about Brightspeed. The bill keeps going up but the service has remained the same. The best they can say when we will get Fiber is its coming soon until here recently they started saying that its going to be a long time before we get it. They do not care about their customers especially their rural customers and they certainly have no idea what they are doing or what even is going on for that matter. I wish I could give them no stars as 1 star is even too much for them.
