    Absolute garbage service. Century Link was horrible, but Bright Speed is even worse. Once they took over, our internet starting going in and out constantly (like multiple times in an hour). A tech came out, did some things outside, but never came in to see if issue was actually resolved. Did their online chat a couple of days later, told them what was going on and the tech didn't actually fix anything. The person in the chat "ran some line checks", and then told me that the problem is that we are using our internet too much and we need to "cut back". The most we do is browse the internet while one other person is streaming ******** Cut back???! Like just not use it?! I told them that was ridiculous and our internet habits hadn't changed, the only thing that changed was the transition from CL to BS, so why is this suddenly an issue? They said there was nothing else they could do, didn't even offer to send a tech out. I told them it sounded like it was time for me to change providers. They said "Ok, have a good day". Didn't care at all, so I'm officially done and will now be trying ******** 5G internet since that just became available in our area. Fingers crossed that it's better - I think it would be impossible to be worse though! At the very least, ********'s customer service actually acts like they care.

    Refuses to fix our internet for a month. Our service was shut off at midnight Feb 6th and they said they won't send someone out till March 10th. Horrible company I'd recommend literally anything else. St wl internet from ********** if you have too. Please don't give this company any money

    **************** is outsourced, therefore communication is horrible. They accidently cut off service to my church. As a trustee, I had to deal with the situation. We were paying *****/** for life. After they accidentally disconnected our service, they offered to reconnect us...but as a new customer. They wanted to charge us ***** reconnect fee and start charging ** at 69.99/mo. I spent 2 hours on the phone and negotiated a *****/mo fee, but only for 2 years. Terrible...

    I had excellent internet with CenturyLink. Since my account was switched to BrightSpeed, I have spotty or no internet. I work from home, so this is unacceptable. Their excuse is too many devices fighting over bandwidth. Speed test shows inconsistent latency, so they definitely have a problem and need to fix it. Customer support is no help at all. It's obvious they are reading off a script just to get you off the phone.

    If I had to rate this company they wouldn't even get a 1 star because that's how terrible they are. They are absolutely the WORST company I have ever had to deal with! When they took over for CenturyLink it has been nothing short of a disaster. They have the most incompetent staff who have no idea how to assist anyone and will constantly try to transfer you only to go round and round into the worst automated system ever. Their automated system makes it nearly impossible to even get to a live person and most times will just disconnect the call only to have to call back multiple times to go through the headache all over again. I have spent so many hours on the phone contacting Brightspeed to get absolutely nowhere. Today they decided to take it upon themselves to disconnect my elderly mother's home phone (which she has had for 45 years) and internet service when no one even called them to request a disconnect. I had to call back 5 times again to go round and round with their automated system and was hung up on multiple times. They informed me they were not allowed to disclose who requested the disconnect, but that it was done today although no one called them to disconnect any services. My mother also had been receiving paper bills forever and realized after 2 months that she never received a paper bill. Brightspeed took it upon themselves to stop sending paper bills, but had the nerve to charge late fees when her bill was not paid for those 2 months. I requested yet again to only receive paper bills, but have yet to receive an actual paper bill. Brightspeed should be shut down and not be allowed to make any money from consumers for terrible customer service and service in general!

    I complained to Brightspeed in October that I was not able to connect to the Internet with my laptop. I continued complaining in November and December. They said I needed a new modem which I would have to rent or purchase. They were going to increase my monthly bill. I informed them I couldn't afford it. They sent me a label to print out and put on the modem to send it back by **** They sent the new modem which I didn't order and I sent it back in the unopened box on December 30 2022. I purchased ********** services on Dec. 30 for phone and Internet. My husband had purchased Century Link 38 years ago. At some time he started auto pay directly from the bank. I had no idea how to use Online purchasing, paying or banking. I did not know his password or account number. ****************** kept sending notices to my husband's email for new order confirmation service and bills which would come out of auto pay. I had no clue who was making the orders or how to do auto bill pay. My husband died Oct 16, 2022. Brightspeed took out December's payment of $115.00 on Dec. 28, 2022 auto pay out of the bank. They sent 3 new different bills for new orders (which I didn't order) in Jan. I called each time or went online chats on their website. Each time they cancelled the bill for these new service orders. Today I received a notice that they were going to charge $10.11 because I had cancelled these services. This charge is due to be taken out Feb. 27 by auto pay. I haven't had any **************** since December and Spectrum clipped the Brightspeed cable when they installed their service and gave me another phone number. I don't think I should have to pay for cancelling services I didn't order and didn't receive. They don't even deserve a one star rating. Be warned of their poor ****************. They took over from Century link last year (2022) and service was almost non existent after that. Century Link would come out and repair and provide a free new modem if that was the cause.

    Brightspeed took over Centurylink for my internet, and it is the absolute worst. **************** is a nightmarish circular revolving door of automated unhelpfulness, and any time I get on with a human I get cut off- they asked me for the best callback number in case we get cut off, yet never call back. My internet works maybe half the time. I didnt know there were companies still existing that have such a horrible product and customer service. It takes a lot to get me angry, but here we are. I have wasted countless hours this month just trying to get the service I am paying for. I am done. I would rather have no internet than internet this sorry. abysmal.

    Since October 2022 once brightspeed took over my account. My internet has dropped several time a day. In November the came out after I argued with them replaced my modem. I still have issues with internet dropping out several times a day. They said nothing had changed since they took over but some thing had to change for having all the outages . Never had this issue with centrylink everything worked great. Now brightspeed horrible service. Where I live this is the only internet service I can get.

    EVERYTHING HAS GONE WRONG NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. THEIR TECH SUPPORT DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING, THIS IS WORSE THAN CENTURYLINK. HORRIBLE SERVICE. OUTAGE 2X IN LESS THAN 3MTHS..NO REASON, OH BUT WAIT THEY WILL SEND A TECH OUT IN A WEEK, SEVEN DAYS TO BE WITHOUT SERVICE. THEY DON'T CARE, DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE U WILL REGRET IT 100%. PAY 90.00 MNTH FOR THE SLOWEST SERVICE EVER!!!! YOU THOUGHT CENTURY LINK WAS BAD WAIT TILL YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH BRIGHTSPEED THEY ARE THE DEFINITION OF HORRIBLE SERVICE!! STATED IT WASN'T AN OUTAGE ONLY TO FIND OUT 4 DAYS LATER FIRST TIME AROUND THAT IT WAS AN OUTAGE...YESTERDAY 2/6/23 I SPENT OVER 5 HOURS WAITING AND TALKING TO TECH SUPPORT, WITH NO ANSWERS ONLY TO BE TOLD A TECH WILL COME OUT ON 2/24/23 AND NO SOONER. THIS IS THE WORSE SERVICE EVER. BE WARNED THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
