Terrible. Try to speak with an actual person-not possible. Their online chat service doesn't seem to be working either. The phone line that feeds my home went suddenly dead this morning. I run a small business out of my home and my home security is tied to the phone. The earliest they can schedule a repair is three days form now but I will be out of town that day so the next available day is a week away. Do I get to reduce my bill by one fourth?? Call century link and you get to talk to a computer that has very restrictive options. We have had an ongoing problem with the lines that feed our street for years and the technicians have been out numerous times and all say the lines are in bad shape. It affects all of my neighbors to the extent several of them have simply cancelled the service and rely on the cell service. Whenever it rains there is extensive static. I wish I had an alternative. When Century Link ran it, it was no better.

Terrible. No customer service, if you have an issue, you cannot talk to anyone to get it fixed.

Not only is there the odd change over from Centurylink, but now the customer service department is absolutely the pits. Even attempting to pay a *****'n bill gets you the stupid robot, that can only be dealt with by hammering on keys until finally you get a person. That is now rude and mostly unhelpful. WHY can't WE get good service in the rural communities??? ***************** What a joke!

Absolutely THE WORST customer service. The conversion from CenturyLink to Brightspeed is a joke. Just try calling the phone number. round and round you go never to get anywhere. Sadly they have a monopoly and are the only game in town. TERRIBLE company

Since the Centurylink acquisition, my internet has degraded terribly. Then you say your Brightspeed app is available but it's not. I have no control over my home network and the performance is noticeably worse. This is robbery.

No stars. Brightspeed is terrible. Our phone (a land line) has been out for the last 3 days and they don't want to correct the proble as this has been an ongoing problem for the last 4 weeks. Get a run around when we call them and nothing seems to be getting done.

This must be the worst internet company in *******, and one of the worst businesses in general. They took over CenturyLink in my area a few months ago, and everything tanked. I have literally experienced between 3-5 days of solid downtime every single month so far. The company does not provide any communications around this. They give estimates that turn out to be wildly incorrect. Their website keeps returning "This isn't working" when I try to log in, and doesn't recognize the information I used just a few months ago. The online chat is a bit of a joke as well.Customer support so far (this is a small business account) is polite enough, but they have to make sure you run the gauntlet of several different areas and phone lines first. The biggest thing is their inability to keep my internet up and running consistently. As somebody who works from home, it is NOT OK for my internet to drop out for up to five days at a time once per month. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I don't know why it suddenly started going awry after Brightspeed bought the company, but I don't remember Centurylink having regular multi-day outages. It would be lovely if they could communicate as well. No word on the issues. On the rare occasions I've been able to access their website, it tells me everything is fine when the support team is telling me it's a known outage. I get better results from DownDetector! Finally, the last two major outages I asked for communication that it was back up. In both cases, this communication arrived more than 24 hours after service was restored. Unacceptable. If you have the choice between Brightspeed and ANY other provider (I do not), strongly consider the others.

As an internet/email provider, Brightspeed has been one nightmare after another. **************** is nonexistent and they are incapable of resolving anything. Will be finding a different provider and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

If I could give a zero i would. They need to be investigated on how they are still in business, the service is horrible! It is almost important to get any issues resolved either online or over the phone. The internet itself is hit or miss depending on the day. So we are paying for a service the majority of us have issues using and there is nothing we can do about it?
