Called AAA for a tow. The tow truck driver they sent out backed into my parked car while trying to load it. After 4 months of filing a claim AAA stated they cant hold the company liable for damages because its a 3rd party company. Said they would only Pay half of the lowest estimate that was given 4 months ago and that was only because we had been members for so long. They took 4 months to come to that conclusion and then told me I could go after the tow truck company for the rest of the damages. Again 4 months later! Terrible customer **********************. First the agent handling the case never even called back or filled the info I sent her. Took 13 emails 7 calls to customer ********************** and hours of waiting on hold before finally getting someone to look into the problem and it took him almost 4 weeks to tell me they cant hold the company liable. The company they sent out to provide a service on their end and damages a parked car! I of course got frustrated becuase I was told in the beginning AAA would handle the claim and I would not need to go after the tow truck company becuase they called them to provide a service. And now 4 months later AAA will not hold them responsible and tell me I can attempt to reach out to them. Its been 4 months. Poor services and ridiculous that they claimed they would handle it but in the end only offer to pay half because they dont wont to hold the company they called for a service responsible and leave it on the customer. Wont even give me the info as to why. Stated due to its being a driver side tire flat and it being the low end of the car!? What? Their tow truck driver hit the front of my car while backing up to load it. Has nothing to do with the flat and everything to do with the poor driving of the truck driver. AAA should not of told me they were going to handle it if they were simply going to tell me they wont do anything and I can contact the tow company myself. False statements and poor service.

If there was a ZERO star rating, I would have chosen it. I have had AAA for 9 years. I am a 67 year old woman. On Sunday, 8/20/23, at 4:00 PM, I was on a highway doing 65 mph when I tried to pass a car. As I pressed on the gas, there was no power and the dashboard was flashing with a lot of error messages, one of which, was transmission failure. I had to coast back to the right lane and off to the shoulder of the highway. The car put itself in neutral and the flashing message said to apply the emergency brake. I could not put the car in park. Called AAA and told them of my experience. They said a tow truck would come in 30 minutes as this was an urgent problem. Then I got an automated response that they are delayed. Then I got another phone call saying they would arrive by 6:15 PM. Then another automated that they were delayed. Then another call that they "might" get to me by 11:00 PM, but no guarantee. I was told that although I have towing for 100 miles, and it would be a 40 mile tow to the repair shop, the tow truck operators don't like to tow that far. Then I was told it's a Sunday and the tow truck drivers don't like to work on a Sunday. They suggested I call a local tow truck company, pay for the tow, and then submit the receipt to AAA and they "might" consider paying for it. I sent an email to ***************************, President of AAA, and his secretary responded to this email stating that someone from AAA Carolinas would contact me within 3 days..... that was ************************************************************************* but have not heard anything back. Customer ********************** with ********************** is the same as getting a tow truck to come to your assistance on a Sunday..... non-existent. I cancelled my membership with them. Better to save my money and pay for a tow if I ever need it.

They sold me a battery that is faulty and said all the service calls are used up for the year so they want to charge $100 for a service call to replace a battery they sold me, even though it had to be towed to confirm they sold a defective product.

On July 27, 2023, I requested a tow truck for my vehicle. No tow truck came within two hours from calling. Therefore I called again. Due to AAA not being able to assist me, I called for roadside assistance from my insurance company. I recently paid for membership renewal; but now I regret doing so because my whole purpose of having AAA is for assurance that someone can assist me in my time of need. I reached out to them to express my concerns after their negligence, but I have not heard a response.

The worst customer **********************. Your tow truck will never arrive, you will wait on the side of the road for hours and never get a tow truck. After waiting for a tow for hours and you call back requesting a update they will inform you no tow truck was requested and you will have to wait for a few more hours. They do not value your time.

I'm not going to renew my subscription to AAA because my friend which has been a member for years needed roadside service for a flat tire. He has lung cancer and was told at 1:30 pm. it would be 8:00 pm before someone could get there. It's not acceptable for over a six hour wait. The representative told him it was because they were short of help but I found out that AAA doesn't pay the responders like they should. I've been a member for years but after this membership expires, NO MORE I just keep thinking it could have been my wife out there.

I initiated a tow back in February of 2023 with AAA, to tow my vehicle. Canceled the request 5 minutes later. I was told that refund had already been processed. 3 weeks later I call back only to be left on hold for 2 hours for the billing department for the billing representative to tell me that AAA was 3 months behind in processing refunds. I have called 3 times since March and I have yet to receive my refund for a canceled tow and it is now August going on September of 2023.

On May 29, 2023 I had my vehicle towed there for an alternator repair! On may 30, 2023 I went to pick up my vehicle and was charged $ 816. Thinking that I was getting a new alternator and the problem was fixed, come to find out they put a rebuilt alternator on my car. On August 1, 2023 I was at work sitting in my car and it cut off. Come to find out the alternator went out again that I had just got from them. I had to get it towed from my job in ************, ** to the shop up in ************, **. I called them once they had my car and since the alternator was under warranty I was suppose to get another and they fix it for free. So August 21,2023 I get up to go to work and the car wont start the alternator was out once again. So now I had to go out and purchase my own brand new alternator and have another shop put it own. I contacted the ******** store and told them I wanted a FULL refund since I had go else where to get the work that I paid $816 dollars done right with a brand new alternator not a rebuilt one. I was told by the ( store manager) to bring my receipt showing I brought a brand new one to get my refund which I did on Tuesday and I took the alternator they put on my car back to them also. I get there only to find out that the ************ store I had it towed to for the replacement NEVER REPLACED IT. They only recharged cause it was the same part number that the ******** store put on. The store owner told me it will take 2 days for $600 to come back to my card and the $216 will be by check since it was n cash. I still havent got my money back in now Im getting the run around. I think its a slap in the face for them to charge so much only to not buy new parts but rebuilt ones and over charge for those. IM VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED BY THESE ACTIONS FROM BOTH STORES!!
