      *** is a scam. Purchased a new battery 9/23/24 had to replace it 1x & Eep stated battery was faulty the new one installed on 9/23/23. Replacement happen on 09/30/24. On 10/03/24 the replacement battery dies & AAA contracts states its battery. Get checked again by another AAA 10/05/24 says battery is supposedly good. My mechanic & 5 other car shops states the battery is faulty. *** is a scam; they just replace batteries with used ones & claim the warranty.

      Very bad experience! Second bad experience within a few months of each other! First time, we cancelled the call after no updates and no way to reach a person to find out what was going on. This time (Sept, 2024) we waited for over 3 hours for a tow! The ONLY reason we got help at that point is because we called the towing company directly and found out we were not even on their list! AAA is horrible, compared to the awesome service we used to count on from them. After 32 years of membership, we will not be renewing this time.

      Waited over 24 hours for Roadside Assistance for a battery jump. The individual that was sent was a private vendor driving a two truck with towing another vehicle. The request for assistance was canceled yet I was uninformed. I remained awake overnight awaiting assistance. The next day I phoned AAA, a AAA truck was sent to my location to jump the vehicle and left without any assurances that the battery was sufficiently charged for me to drive to a shop to purchase a replacement battery. I have since canceled my membership after waiting on hold for approximately 2 hours to speak with a representative.

      09/13/24 at 1:52pm called for a tow due to a flat tire on a very busy road. After speaking with the call center, the tow request went to "dispatch". After multiple texts and calls and three hours later when the tow truck did finally come, he told me he wasn't dispatched until 4:47pm. It took him approx. 30 minutes to get to me. He also showed me the dispatch location on his phone and it had me in the WRONG location. Thank goodness he called me to get the exact location. To make a very long, frustrating situation this unbearable is ridiculous! I gave one star for the lack of professionalism with the dispatch and the length of time it took to get my car towed. I have been a member for 27 years and have RARELY used AAA. Can't even imagine if I could have been in a bad part of town or in the middle of the night alone and waiting this long!

      Made an appointment for a state inspection. Arrived only to be told they would try to get to me in 90 minutes. Then got testy when after 45 minutes of waiting and NO ONE else was waiting for service I asked for my keys and registration back. Very unprofessional and one has to wonder how AAA survives financially with so many employees standing around and doing no work!Jiffy Lube was glad to accommodate quickly and for the state mandated charge. AAA Carolinas is a joke.

      Called the morning of 09/08/24 because my battery was dead. I explained that if it needed to be replaced I would like for them to be able to replace it. A service tech out of Georgia came and tested the battery which showed it was bad but he was only certified in ******* and could not replace a battery in SC. Talked to his supervisor who said I would have to call again and request someone in my are to change out. Do this and several hours later had not heard anything or received any updates. Called again. Was told that they could find the ticket. The previous woman had put it under my sister's account and I am her secondary. To cancel the ticket, my sister had to authorize the cancelation. Luckily she happened to be at my house and could do this. When I asked about putting in a new ticket, I was told I should try again another day. 24/7 doesn't actually mean that. It's a AAA battery and the gentleman that came out to run the tests said they should prorate the cost because it is just out of warranty. Shocked at the lack of customer **********************. Luckily, I was home and not in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road.

      I paid for a membership with a promo code and alls it says is membership active immediately to use and shows you what you able to use. I did it and was told I still had to pay for the *** even though towing is part of the membership. No where is it stated you have to pay for the first tow.

      I am very disappointed with AAA Carolinas. I placed a call at 4:45 on August 29 for assistance with a flat tire. Here is it August 30 at 3:05 and they have not responded to the call. I am a 66 year old disabled woman who lives alone. I can no longer change my own tire. I have placed 5 calls to AAA and spent over 1.5 hours on the phone. I have filed a complaint but still no assistance. The only person to call me back was a twit that called at 3:45 a.m. to ask if I still wanted my tire changed. I could not get to the phone in time. *** is spending thousands of dollars on advertising for so many other services and I can't even trust them to help change a tire. I was a member since 1988. My case number is ********. They have left me stranded.

      We requested roadside service to have our vehicle towed around 2 pm on 8/21/24. They sent a service truck, not a tow truck, about 3 hours later. They determined that we needed to be towed not jumped off. We requested the vehicle to be towed to begin with. It is currently 10 am 8/22/24 and our vehicle is still has not been towed.
